The game's combat feels good, but that doesn't stop it from being an aggressively mediocre game that lifted all of its story and gameplay ideas from better titles. Play those instead.
So, i've more or less beatin Godfall. Gotta say it was kind of a let down to be honest. The whole flagship of the game is Valorplates and there unique Archon Fury abilities however 98% of the time you will never use them. Either because dying resets it...or you are fighting a boss in which it doesn't build up Archon Fury up at all. Might also just be my experience but I've noticed that when fighting the story bosses Aliments like Curse, Toxin, Water, etc. don't seem to proc on them which is another big let down.
I think that the devs missed their deadline. That's what happened with Godfall. They polished what they had for the November 12 release, but the truth is they would have needed at least another six months. Reviewers all agree: the game looks good, combat is fun, weapon design rocks, but it's too short, it lacks variety, inventory management is a chore and valor plates all feel the same. If Counterplay works on those issues, Godfall could become surprisingly good in 6 months/a year from now. Will it happen? I sure hope so, because a game that mixes God of War + Diablo is, imo, a terrific idea.
I see some people like "Give this a chance, it could get better" but they are going to be charging 70 dollars at launch for these games. I'm not about to pay 70 dollars for a mediocre game. So, I'd rather my game leans more toward Miles Morales than Anthem...
If you are having constant stutters or any fps issues try defragging your hard-drive if you are playing on a mechanical hard-drive. Doing that seemed to fix issues I had with the fps.
Can you a modern review of 2008 Wizard101 (pay $10 a month for everything ) It has good loot (Bundles are for cosmetic purposes, another form of microtransactions)? the age is reflected in the story.

It does look like every 10th game ever made
I have played about 10 hours so far and I actually like it alot. It's not game of the year but combat is good.
I’ll wait for the $20 version......these game companies think everything should cost $60+ 🤪
From the first reveal this game looked mediocre. And being online only is a joke
"Aggressively mediocre." Not sure I've ever heard those two words put together before. Well played!
this game is as generic as it can possibly be, hard pass
The debut trailer already made bad impression. Hard pass.
Had a bad feeling about Godfall since I first heard about it. The idea of godlike stuff is the only good thing about this game.
Looks fine to me I’ll play it
Kratos called again. He REALLY wants his shield back!

its style looks like what i wanted kingdoms of amalur remastered to look like
I dont know why reviewers from different outlets have to agree with each other?

Reminds me of The Bouncer when it dropped for PS2 back in the day. Just a solid beat-em-up at launch, nothing more, nothing less.

Seem just like Anthem, stunning visual but empty lore and story
Funny part is most gamers could just look at the footage & know it was crap. But others who liked it got offended.
