Seadoo Rotary Valve Plate Machining

Machining the Rotary Valve Plate on a Seadoo 717 Jet Ski engine. The good usable parts are getting more and more expensive. Many of the engines have this issue. Too much clearance on this plate will cause difficult starting. I machine the surface and get the clearance back within tolerance and best of all, "nice and flat." This is a good look at the process. Any machinist with the proper equipment can perform this task but the problem is finding one with the equipment that is willing to do this job cheaply. The part needs to be treated gently as it is aluminum. Those chuck jaws that grab the part can easily damage or destroy it. Never worry about getting things perfect it is not often needed.

No I do not offer this service. This is just something I do for myself. It is a bit of a pain and I wouldn't make much money for the time it takes me. Also shipping would eat up much of any savings. If someone was really in need of one I might try to help out.

And how do you shave the Inner lip since you shaved off that main area you need to have the same clearance what you take from the front you have to take from the sitting lip right
