It’s honestly amazing that Kong from 2005 is more expressive and sympathetic than any of the animals in the 2019 Lion King.

@@kyleday5026 King Kong (2005) used a combination of CG and motion capture so that the audience can see him emote and to make him a sympathetic character. The Lion King (2019) used over-the-top CGI where the animals constantly have this dull emotionless look on their faces and just comes off as a nature documentary with CGI animals.
