1:44 all these years and i never noticed why hulk screamed the way he did when picking up that part of the tank. He hit his nuts when he picked it up. Yo attention to detail for a movie this old is amazing
Lol!!!!! I just noticed that!!!!! Good find 😂😂😂😂
W catch
If you listen close enough, you can hear a cracking sound when it hits😢
Lhh I thought he screamed was because he finally got that tank top off
damn you right 😂
Picking up and THROWING a M1Abrams battle tank (62 MT) several miles is one of the best scenes that represents the Hulk's strength.
nowadays a jeep can run him over
Not really that strong and he shouldn't have struggled with the u.s army that's pretty weak
@@dontrah1838 this Hulk has far more control over himself. He pulls his punches.
Then 3 secs after he struggles to break the top off of one
The problem is the tank landed on John Wick's dog....and now the Hulk is in danger
This Hulk would have sent Thanos crying home to mommy.
Fr
This Hulk would’ve taken Thanos’ soul without the usage of the infinity gem itself. Like the movies.
Thanos killed his mother. Remember according to the comic books
@@omegalovania I didn't know that. Then my statement is merely a figure of speech.
@@dusttalking6871 yeah man there is a comic book about Thanos actually killing his mother because I guess his mother tried to kill him when he was younger
Notice, he's trying to spare their lives. This Hulk is my favorite out of them all. He's dope af and his roar is sick af!
He just wants to be left alone usually unless something causes him to freak out which rarely happens
1:26 I wouldn’t say this is a very good attempt to spare them
@@flakcannonhans6170they survived it anyway.
@@Gaian-Commander Yeh they ded.
are we just ignoring him punching in the cockpit of the helicopter
The visual effects for that very first explosion were BEAUTIFULLY done, now that I look back on it
Yep for the first and second cluster bombs scene too
Most of the special effects were practically done on location
You can see that hulk isn’t trying to kill them but also annoyed about them not leaving him alone
Just goes to show he's aware of how powerful he is, and not taking it lightly by going on a rampage killing spree if he really wanted, bt by the book he's suppose to be a hero!!! which was implemented when he saved Betty and tried to save that Jet pilot
@@DwainWilsonJr I really feel like Bruce was the one that saved the pilot because once the pilot flew up to space it was a brief moment that hulk told Bruce “puny human” referencing that Bruce is an idiot for saving him or Bruce didn’t know that hulk can breathe in space which is why he collapsed and was falling into ocean
@@dontemorris7181 Exactly.. Were it not for Betty, humans were in trouble in San Fran, then after he met his father, Bruce and Hulk both worked together cohesively.. Notice the final scene when Bruce goes all savage on the militia leader in the jungle??
He literally threw one of the tanks a mile away
@@flakcannonhans6170 ok but it’s a tank.. tanks can take heavy impact when not getting hit by other tank
this is the real hulk
I like this one but edward norton's hulk was the best but that's just me. 😁
@@TheMegatron673 yes just for you only. This Hulk would decimate the other two.
@@user-wm7jh7uk5t Maybe the avengers hulk but I highly doubt the 2008 hulk.
@@TheMegatron673 there was nothing special about 2008 Hulk except the actor who played him. He was small, and his regeneration was virtually non-existent. 2003 he's bigger and stronger as his anger grows, and they made sure to show his regeneration is extremely fast. All 2008 Hulk would have done was made 2003 Hulk the size of a skyscaper with that much more strength.
@@user-wm7jh7uk5t The 2008 hulk is what the 2003 hulk should've been. I have both movies too. Also what you mean 2008 hulk's healing factor was non-existent?
So refreshing to see real landscapes and scenery. I can smell the fresh open air from here.
I just love this movie. I got it on VHS as a kid and it has a special place is my heart.
This was my childhood
@@CarlnutzYT 🤘😁✌️
It’s got a special place in my garbage can.
@@SMACKTHEBLUE I can understand the dislikes. Considering this came out a year after the first Spider-Man, and the promos, people expected a monstrous super hero film.
Instead it's a slow-burn, psychological drama character study, many were disappointed. And I agree, Hulk doesn't look very monstrous, and isn't as savage as the MCU versions, some even weren't too fond of the height and saturated green, but I love this version.
There was supposed to be a sequel released two years later, but shit happened💀
@TheAmazingBeanieMan the 2003 video game was actually supposed to be the sequel to a degree, because it takes one whole year after the events of the movie. Supposedly.
The 2003 and 2008 Hulk movies are so underrated
Exactly
Well it is not appreciated at that time.
Not good movies
@@dontrah1838cope
But this one is too superior to the 2008 one.. We don't even know how he got his powers, except from flashbacks.. It was highly dependent on the previous versions of Hulk/Bruce, and Tony Stark
1:45 was that a NUTSHOT
Yes lol
All these years and im just now seeing that😂
As a kid, i thought because it was heavy for him😂
Im dead
Perfect example of how less flashy cgi and flashy cinematography makes for a way more cool and interesting battle scene. I remember seeing this in the theater and thinking "that's just looks so good".
Hate to break it to you but most of this is CGI. It only doesn’t look so ‘flashy’ because it’s literally THE simplest setting for CGI. Desert wasteland means almost no foliage and zero human architecture. The borderline monochromatic color scheme and overall wild variation in shapes such as the sand dunes and rocky outcrops allow for your brain to absorb the information and the imperfections blend in.
Modern CGI would blow this exact scene out of the water.
@@TheSCPStudio But, my point is that it looks believable. No doubt modern CGI is technically superior, but the finished product usually doesn't look believable; at least not to my eyes.
Best Hulk movie and representation ever. At least Ang tried to tell it like the comics.
This hulk needs to make a comeback ASAP….
With the introduction of multiverse, anything is possible nowadays. Let's hope. This hulk would single-handedly take thanos, thor, etc etc
the green color of this hulk is so awesome to look at.
I admit, the pacing of this movie is a bit odd, but geez, it has impressive cgi physics and nature composition photography decisions. As well as tasty sound-design.
Dude jumps like as though he's on the moon. Gravity has nothing to do with him.
I don't care what anyone says.
Bana's Hulk is the most powerful and comic accurate version we have so far.
He's not as savage and violent as the MCU versions, but this man is a force to be reckoned with. It's a shame aside from the game there wasn't a sequel.
I would've loved to see Abomination in the Lee-verse, his take on the gray Hulk persona, and the other villains we've seen in the game.
*HULK:* An underrated art masterpiece, as far as my opinion goes.
agree
no power in the Planet can stop the hulk
MCU hulk is🤓
@@kennyaero360 MCU Hulk wasn't given a proper story arc compared to his team mates. People hated Professor Hulk. I thought it was a cool idea, just rushed.
@@kennyaero360 He's too weak.. The best feat from him was actually done by Bruce in Hulk's body, the mountain level snap that destroyed his arm
This version of Hulk will destroy MCU Thanos in seconds.
Look how this movie looks so real compared with the new ones
Yes
Hulk II May 20th 2005 Universal Pictures Marvel Enterprise is Cancelled 😠
I disagree. I think it looks like shit. Hulk is too bright and his colors don't look natural. He doesn't blend with the scene. It's not terrible, but the detail definitely isn't there like how it is now.
@@ajspice Well, first of all, Hulk is supposed to be that green. Like, he's much better-looking than that Hulk from 2008, which just looks like Grey-Hulk, it doesn't feel the Green/Savage Hulk there, plus, the CGI is just terrible.
except this one lol 2:40 hulk running
This is definitely one of my favorite Marvel 2000s standalone movies!! Iron Man, Spiderman (Tobey McGurie), and then The Hulk!!! Arguably those 3 movies really set the whole tone in how marvel movies need to be and we don’t get those types anymore.. hulk was such a badass movie! So damn good and it’s forgotten.. it needs to be remembered
True .... They are so close to the ground and amazing..... Ghosh Rider 1(nike cage) , Zorro, the phantom was also good ..... & Movies nowadays are worst
X-men 1 and 2 were really good for that time as well
Hands down THE absolute strongest and most powerful version of the Hulk ever put to screen. This Hulk would have just ripped Thanos's head off.
Agreed
Yeah hopefully universal will make a new stand alone hulk movie with this hulk again I’d love to see it
@@therookie5714 l absolutely hate and despise both Mark Ruffalo, who just comes across as a totally unserious and asinine Bruce Banner, and RuffaHulk, who is just a big stupid cowardly goofball, and especially Smart/Professor RuffaHulk, which is nothing but a huge horrible joke and a giant middle finger to true Hulk fans.
@@frank3508yeah exactly, universal needs to make a stand alone hulk movie that has this hulk instead imo
I like this Hulk better than Ruffalo's version, but I still like Ed Norton's Hulk the best. Out of curiosity, why do you like this version the best?
I liked this actor the most for Hulk. Wish they would have kept him for all the movies
1:45 everyone is talking about Hulk this , Hulk that but nobody noticed that Hulk cracked his nuts while ripping off tank turret , He screamed because of pain 😁
Wow I never noticed that in this scene but then that make two jokes in this movie where his nuts get hurt the second being when the dog bites them
Just now noticing that😂 and I watched this movie many times, Lol.
It’s pretty crazy how well the CGI and animation hold up here, it’s super impressive.
I Was Impressed Despite How Powerful He Is He Did not Try To Kill those Soldiers
My most favorite version of the hulk. You could feel the rage. The attention to detail to the muscle fibers makes him look very real and very scary.
Best HULK period!!
Yoooo that shock wave at the beginning was nuts
Thermobaric Bomb/Shell
@@joshuasoobra2562 oh so that’s what it’s called
This is the comic accurate movie....it really felt like turning the pages of comics .....❤❤❤❤ So emotionally connected and nostalgia overloaded...
Universal is cooking 😤
This was a decent flick for 2003, don't care how much hate it gets.
This movie and The Incredible Hulk 2008 is by far the Best Versions of Hulk👏👏💚💚👍👍
To this day this is my favorite Hulk movie. Ang Lee did his thing and it showed he wanted to do the character justice and I think he did.
Is it perfect? No. Not at all. But it’s better than anything Marvel/Disney ever did imo.
2023 hulk can't even stop the jeep
God this movie was really ahead of its time
I’m ALWAYS rooting for Hulk
Hulk destroyed 4 tanks and 4 helicopters and not one soldier died. 😀
He also saved guy in a plane to keep he from hitting the bridge, the Hulk maybe a monster, but he's got a soft spot.
I’m convinced that if they would have made a “World War Hulk” movie with this hulk he would’ve done serious damage to half of the Marvel Universe
The music as he’s jumping is dope asf🔥🔥
5:27 I love this scene because it tells us so much about this Hulk. He doesn't want to fight, he doesn't want to smash, he doesn't even want to be angry. He's in deep emotional pain and just wants to be left alone.
Every Marvel movie could just be Hulk vs. the Army. I wouldn't complain.
20 years later these mind blowing visual effects still hold up. Can't fucking believe this movie wasn't even nominated for Best Visual Effects.
I like how this movie actually shows how far the hulk can actually jump. Not just building to building. As well as the speed he has. Absolute unit.
He leapt 5 miles in 9 seconds(2000mph), and was sprinting way above 300mph.... And this is him in base form
This hulk's jump distance is insane todays hulk's cannot jump even 10℅ of thi hulk
Fr people sleep on his super jump
I prefer this hulk
Was not expecting a 4k re-upload of this scene in 2024, fucking awesome.
Such clear image
They must be coming out with a 4K dvd or maybe universal has plans for hulk
This is the best Hulk movie. No one will change my mind.
00:20 So Tony Stark stole the blueprint of the *Jericho Missiles* from Ang Lee.....
i prefer this hulk instead.
People hate on the first Hulk movie. I admit that the CGI was not great, but consider the state of the art back then. And I agree that it ran long. Could have been shortened maybe 25-30%.
But this movie deserved more credit. The plot, casting, and (for the most part) acting were excellent. As a comic book fan since I was 6, the use of dramatic comic book conventions to set up scenes and frame transitions was brilliant. AFAIK, it was the first movie to feature that approach, and I loved it.
Gonna watch it again tonight. 👍
I love how they used Chieftain tanks and made it look like an M1 Abrams. I guess the US military did not allow them to use their tanks for filming
Love this Film it's completely underrated
True showcase of hulks unbound strength! The rest are imposters.
Never seen this movie but now I gotta see it. This rules
Oh please do!!
This and the 2008 The Incredible Hulk portrayed the true nature of Hulk.
The 2008 Hulk was certainly the best made in terms of appearance. Well-drawn square face, and a dark look never seen before in the character.
Dark green skin, strong and athletic body, without exaggeration of dense muscle mass. With a roar of war that placed fear and respect in general.
It's really a shame that this version that everyone likes the most won't appear in films in the future. For me, I would maintain this same appearance until the end of time, without trying to model the shape of the actor's face. Or they could just hire a guy with a face that kind of looks like the 2008 version, and leave him fixed.
To be honest. I never liked the Avengers' Hulk, he looks more like a muscular Shreke, a bit crude in appearance, more like an ogre than the Hulk himself.
🤣💯
One of my favorite movies of all time
This Hulk for me #1. And this is 2003!!!! Even the graphics are cool.
This needs to be rereleased back in theaters since it is already 20th anniversary of this movie. This movie didn’t get enough credit back around the time it was released nor all these years passing by but imagine this movie being rereleased again that would get more credit since more people are actually liking this movie now and the story
My favourite hulk movie. Hopefully see him again in secret wars or something
Unfortunately, it's unlikely. Eric Bana said that he sees it as a one-time job and cannot imagine himself returning. I'm sad about that. :(
@kevin97951 thats sucks eh Eric bana was awsome when he was getting angry and emotional. Never know man you never say never
@@andyanderson516 I trust that too. Maybe Kevin Feige can be convinced to return through the Multiverse, along with Jennifer Connelly. I think she mentioned that she would play Betty Ross again.
@kevin97951 yeah she was a brilliant Betty Ross aswell
i never know why people criticize this Hulk. This is the right amount of green. The new Hulk looks yellow
We definitely need Eric Bana's hulk in #AvengersSecretWars 💯
Definitely the strongest and biggest Hulk.
This is the most accurate version of Hulk. He is bigger and greener.
How do these fx hold up better than more recent movies
Eric Bana is the best
What's crazy is every few minutes he has to himself all he does is sit down and ponder. He's Bruce's repressed side, not just rage but curiosity about his past too. If they stopped attacking him he would sit there for like 25 minutes looking at desert moss before calming down.
Ah, the good old days
7:19 Is it just me or was that the same dodge move Iron Man did in his first movie, five years after this one? Is anyone else seeing this?
People didn't like it so much but for me its the best solo hulk movie
1:18 Puny Toys!
2:14 Hulk SMASH tank!
2:34 Get out!
7:49 He got my Missile!
just imagine how awesome it must feel to be able to travel freely like that, in giant leaps! (ofc without being chased)
I remember being high on crack watching this at cinemas.

The only movie to ever feature the Comanche helicopter ❤
This movie was trashed when fist came out, now everybody gives it the respect it deserves
Ang Lee's Hulk is awesome 😎
I like this hulk way better then what we have nowadays
Both modern Hulks predating the current movie one are way cooler, but I guess they contradict the comedic narrative of the current movies, which a good part of them are pretty good.
The forgotten hulk classic
This over She-Hulk any day. Now this vs The Incredible Hulk (2008)? Oof, that's a tough one, both are legendary 🔥🔥
This hulk would have definitely beat Thanos. He would have just gotten angry, bigger, and stronger, until he was too strong for Thanos to handle.
Hulk Maybe owned by MARVEL and Disney, but the HULK Movie 2003 is one of the BEST movies out there.
Absolutely loved this movie as a kid. Still a solid movie 😁
I can't believe how real this looks compared to the new movies especially for when this movie was made. The cgi is phenominal.
Keep the Hulk Universal.
I’m sorry about that pal but they can’t. Not only because Marvel is now bought by Disney but Universal has no idea what they’re doing with Marvel back in the 90’s & the early 2000’s. the Spider-Man Rocks stunt show is not very good, the mascot of Wolverine based on his look from the Ultimate Marvel Universe was a laughably disappointed look and no surprise, the Islands of Adventure theme park called Marvel Superhero Island, is the only good thing coming out of their deal, that’s why Disney announced that Marvel’s deal with Universal Orlando is there to stay, while Universal Japan’s is a different deal, their deal expires this year. Universal’s first choice of bringing comic books to life wasn’t even Marvel, it was DC Comics, but Warner Brothers shut it down.
@@cyber-thundr_ I have better idea let Disney but the rights back for a 5 Billion Dollars. If they can afford that fine. They can have just the Hulk back nothing else.
This my favorite scene
2:40 this scene, impressed 🤣🤣
Universal I’m begging you guys have to make a new stand alone hulk movie since y’all have the rights to him please it doesn’t need to connect to the MCU just make it it’s own universe
They sold the rights to Marvel already, so don't get your hopes too high considering what disney is doing with it's product
Imagine a Hulk that actually grew stronger like this one in the MCU. Goddamn.
The Incredible Hulk was cool only because of the final fight against abomination… but this movie is still my favorite because I grew up watching and loving it. I’m bias.
This Hulk would have dog walked Thanos
The strongest Hulk live action
Easily
The Hulk's rage is fearsome but hilarious, too. All these funny moments - shaking the soldiers out of the tank like salt, bending the barrel cartoon-style so it points at the soldier in the tank, even the way he flies through the air after jumping has a comedic element of a beast trying to figure out his own powers.
The hulk’s wound can heal itself. 😵💫
so exciting every time he launches that tank😂
I love Ang Lee's Hulk movie
2:48 if you zoom into the battle scene far away, when Hulk is leaving the scene at the size of an ant he just pops out….
Felt like watching a Bethesda game it was great!
7:48 I love this part where Hulk has been clipping their wings and has gone out of his way to not kill anyone. He launches the explosive of the rocket onto the chopper's tail and sends it to the ground. He hears Ross demand for a head count. Hulk visibly gets upset from this. He's trying to show Ross he's not here to kill anyone and just wants to be left alone, but Ross keep antagonizing him.
Insanely early 😊
Underappreciated film.❤
