First time I watched this sequence I thought why’s Cate’s acting so wooden and rehearsed. Then you realize that the character itself rehearsed that interview.

Okay, I might be reading into this too much, but I think even the Helipad's location has some thematic relevance to the film. It's built right in front of a spectacular waterfall. Like, RIGHT in front of it, so close that it's been built on top of what used to be the riverbed. You can see stones and puddles where it used to be in front of the helipad running parallel to the right of road, with the water instead being diverted to the left and into an artificial ditch. The Helipad has unnaturally disrupted the flow of a natural river just so the helicopter and it's passengers could have a nice view on the way down. In the pursuit of spectacle, the natural world has been scarred for our convenience.

Of course mark plays the badass hero who loves his brothers but the real Marcus ran from the fight. I read mark told the real Muhammad that he’s the real hero but that went through so much after this in real life but once Hollywood was done with the story on to the next it was entirely different people who saved Muhammad. Hollywood is sick the way they use and fabricated the story
