- Ann is kidnapped (Naomi Watts) and used as a human sacrifice to appease the feared King Kong.
King Kong (2005): Peter Jackson's expansive remake of the 1933 classic follows director Carl Denham (Jack Black) and his crew on a journey from New York City to the ominous Skull Island to film a new movie. Accompanying him are playwright Jack Driscoll (Adrien Brody) and actress Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts), who is whisked away by the monstrous ape, Kong, after they reach the island. The crew encounters dinosaurs and other creatures as they race to rescue Ann, while the actress forms a bond with her simian captor.

All the actors for the Skull Islanders did a fantastic job in their roles and portraying of the natives. It feels like they are in an actual ritualistic trance.
Not my fakin tempo!!!
Mass hysteria psychological effect, even if it's an acting scene, they seems to have all tapped in that trance state. Which makes it even more astounding to see. 👏
The old women that initiated Anne was really pretty underneath that make up.

The actors who played the skull island natives were so amazing. Peter Jackson did a fantastic job on this film . I’ll never forget seeing Kong in theaters during Christmas break 2005 19 years ago

@@Carlossanchezjr2949it was such a a treat to see Kong in theaters. I remember being so excited seeing Kong and the dinosaurs which was my favorite part of the movie. The ending when Kong is captured makes me mad and sad he’s not with the dinosaurs or skull island . When Kong dies in the end I don’t say single word. Then the next day my dad took me and my sis and grandma to see narnia . But I still couldn’t stop thinking about King Kong .

IDK what's scarier, the sacrifice or the way all of them are acting. Convulsing with their eyes rolling almost like they're dying.

I have a strong feeling the captain is more than just a sailor in this movie…not only does he have live animal capture equipment but has an entire arsenal of guns, I think he’s a German arms dealer 😂

Pretty sure he is ex military post great war - with the Thompsons - a great many of these were fairly available in Britain in the 30's - much laxer on guns then now, never mind on the illegal side of things. Many soldiers kept hold of things they probably should have handed back in. The amount of house clearances where my father would find all manner of great war kit including sidearms and mills bombs...

So much true, there were old grandpas around that had entire tanks, guns, mines, grandes. Hundreds of rounds, even shells. Some Soldiers cling to these things. My great grandpa had also a lot of things, until my grandpa sold them or turned them in when my father didnt want them.@@jackal8373

Kong's roar is much similar to that of Giganotosaurus in Jurassic World Dominion, but amazed by Ann's scream which shook the island.

i still remember on the cinemas in Bangladesh,many brought their children thinking its a Kids movie,but Most of the child were crying loud watching this Particular Scene 😂😂😂

This type of stone wall and this sacrifice platform mechanism is way more convincing then in 1976 version. They also using lava to lure Kong and at the same time keep him away from the wall. So cool. I love it. They really did a great job designing it.
Yeah it's cool to know that the lava was used for two different reasons:
1. To lure kong in to know they had a golden woman being sacrificed to him
2. A warning for him to stay away
I think they are using oil or something
There's no lava there. They just set a lot of vegetation on fire
I love how the mechanism keeps all the native people from ever having to leave their village. They're too terrified of the jungle, so they just send their human sacrifices over the chasm via drawbridge while they themselves stay safely behind the wall.
@@colinbaldwin313 yeah it's like in a zoo where the keepers toss a chunk of meat into a lion enclosure while standing safely behind glass because they're scared of the animals. Thats how these natives are with kongs human sacrifices. They offer them to him via bridge while they stay hidden behind the wall because of how afraid they are of him and how dangerous him and all the other monstrous dangers in the jungles are outside the wall.
I'll never forget the day I saw this in theaters. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen, and my goodness, I was quite literally on the edge of my seat the entire time. Instant classic, this movie is.

I love how the second they start shooting, all the lady islanders eyes come back to normal it’s like they’re snapped out of a trance

Those natives were crazy. What if Ann fought her way off and ran away back to shore? Why did the witch doctor slap her face and what was she sayinf?saying? How you think the natives Breaths and body odor smelled?
I'm sure she would get recaptured and then the natives would continue with the sacrifice. The witch doctor probably hit her with the necklace that she later put around Ann's neck or something else. She was probably saying chants. I'm sure the natives smelled bad, living in isolation and dont have anything to wash themselves with, not to mention the diseases and germs they could potentially carry living on an island with monsters and bugs
Lol, all these generations of natives surviving creatures and conditions in this island beyond imaginable just to be all butchered by some sailors.

People go and think the movie portrays all natives as monsters but the reason why these natives in King Kong are deadly is because Is Skull Island! Almost everything wants to kill you!
