I actually mounted this fork on a decathlon full suspension bike (rockrider 540s) and I've been using it since last Christmas (almost 1yr) on enduro trails here In Italy. Near where I live there are only very difficult, steep and very rocky trails and the fork never gave me the impression of fragility even though it has 32mm stanchions (I have the one with thru axle 15x100). The only problem I had it was with the air pressure: I'm 1.85 x 93kg and for my ride style I had to pump in more pressure than it was written in the pressure/weight table. In this way the fork was RIGID. So I had to change the compression curve in order to reduce the pressure and I did it by inserting inside the air chamber EVA foam shims suitably shaped in the shape of cylinders (they works as Neopos or Proimpact products).
In this way the fork works perfectly, and I'm happy with it. Of course it doesn't have the smoothness of Rockshox, so it suffers a little on smalls bump, and at the end of the descent you may feel some pain in your wrists (but I get used to it).
Recently I opened the fork for maintenance service. I cleaned everything (I found lot of dirt inside the lower legs, means that the dust cover aren't very good), put some fresh grease and oil (the fork was almost DRY) and a little of oil inside the air chamber (like Fox forks). Man, it was rebirth: the fork is smoother than it was new.
Hope this comment will be helpful 😀
And great job with this video! Best cheap MTB channel so far! Keep it up 👍
Well man appreciate the kind words and great review lol. 👍 we always try them how they came in but it may be in the works as far as a rebuild/intense maintenance. Thanks again!
Man, that’s pretty good info. I was wondering how this fork would perform after several months of use.
Had it installed on my old school Astrix FS frame. My only issue was the leak on the lower leg.
Thanks for the review and the tips👍
I went to a couple trails over my Thanksgiving break and I can relate to your comments about the leaves. I was on new to me trails and the leaves were so deep I had no idea what I was about to ride over. Sliding in turns made the excitement level up suddenly.
Appreciate the review... Glad it was a successful ride w no damage to you or the Aggressor.
Man I need to get a blower on the trail!! Lol sounds like you do too!! Cannot wait for summer, as for the lack of damage.....boy a I glad too!! Thanks man
Always enjoy the videos especially this one for the warning it carries, much appreciated
Yes sir, thank you:)
That fork is scary. When I saw the tire rub at the beginning, that could be catastrophic if you had not caught that early and if one of the bolts comes loose on a big jump, you are going over. Please be careful!
Appreciate ya looking out man, and I will try!! Thanks
Good stuff guys. Thank you for testing out that unsafe sketchy stuff for us. saving lives
THINK WE MAY HAVE JUST SPARED SOME!! LOL THANKS BROTHER
I just checked out your channel after meeting you guys at the Northwoods today. This video is quite entertaining and you are far braver than I.
Lol, that's funny man. THANK you for subbing and checking us out, hope to ride oneday at Nebo. Later Brother👍👍
Looked at the Himalo, went with the $199.98 Pasak downhill forks with the 100x15mm thru axle. The 5 bolts with the stanchions actually tighten up proper. Has all the adjustments and can take the direct stem mounts to the fork as well as the usual mtb stem mount. Oil film on stanchions after few compressions. Appears to accepts slightly wider tire than the Himalo. Love your reviews
Thanks man and so good to hear youe experience. These forks definitely look beefy but as far as tightening and performance......Eehhhhhh!! LOL
A little warning about you using your foot to make adjustments to the rebound.
Back in 1993 I was rolling along at probably 12-15 mph on my way to do a quick urban ride through town and thought my quick release was loose. I decided to use my foot to tap the lever, not sure if I hit a bump or not, but I missed, putting my foot into the spokes. It happened so fast, my bike literally stopped instantly, I didn't even get my hands off the grips, so the my face hit the blacktop, and catapulting the bike about 30' away.
Nearly broke my neck, major concussion, forehead ripped open requiring 18 stitches (my skull was visible), and there was a one inch hole of skin missing next to my left orbital socket (once again, you could see my skull next to my eye, it miraculously healed up). Fractured right hand and missing skin on numerous places on my hands and arms.
Moral of my story, check everything prior to rolling out or stop to make adjustments or check your bike if in doubt.
Man that's a bummer!!! Hate to hear that John....So does that mean no go on my hack?😉😉
Keep up the great work guys!
Will do roni, thanks man
Congrats on the review. Never liked downhill forks but to each their own
Thanks brother, most think its FUGLY!! LOL
Love watching your videos after wrestling practice thank you guys
Thanks Angel, wrestler huh? What weight and were do you wrestle out of?
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I wrestle out of birmingham high school In california at 182lb
Nice man, well hope the season is good to ya and go out there and kill it. Thats a tough and usually stacked division man, thanks for watching and commmenting. Let us get an update every once and a while! Later brother
Dope video Wolftick!!!
Send it dude !!
MUCH LOVE🤘🤘🥰
That fork is SKETTTTTCHHHHYYYY lol happy that ur good and came out unharmed lol Hope your holidays are/have been great
SKETCHY INDEED "YOU KNOW!" LOL Nice to see ya brother, hope all is well and the holidays were and are great! See ya on the next brother
14:42 The Wolfman is teffering to the Direct mount stem
Yes, that's what it's called!!👍👍👍
Super surprised on the score. I thought they would do better. Awesome video! HIMALOOOO!! I think I want a himalo fork just to say that out loud! Lol
HA HA NEED TO MAKE A HIMALOOOOO SHIRT NEXT!!
Love the aggressor is getting some love! That fork though 😅😅😅 Makes the aggressor look beastly though!!!
Thanks Mr. SENDIE- That bike is going back to the x fusion!! Lol we shall see how she does on the Ledge hopefully.
cornelius on pinkbike agrees "Four years ago I started using Loctite for all Intend forks to strengthen both the steerer/crown joint as well as the stanchion/crown joint and since then there was not a single creaking case out of 300 forks."
and maybe use your caliper to get them even geez
👍 Nice, sounds like a plan.
I’m running Michelin wild enduro tires on my ledge x1 and they are super sweet. I thought 680dh would rank higher but this is my first aftermarket fork so I don’t really have nothing to compare it to besides the factory fork🤷🏼♂️ I ran the stanchions all the way up and it looks sick. Thanks for the video guys I appreciate the input it definitely gave me a good perspective maybe I’ll invest in a higher quality fork in the future but for now I like it a lot maybe something to think about before I really send it😉
He'll yeah man, thank you. It's awesome to get your perspective as well. The forks not bad at all, as for the michelins, need to get some! We don't have any yet
That was sketchy! Glad you "stayed on your feet" and didn't actually crash. I know less travel forks can jump and take tech, but I'll keep my 160mm all day long!!
Did not crash!! Lol Thanks Brandi, also I wish they were 160mm🤣🤣😂😂 I need all the floating I can get!
I have the same fork on my norco , I'm pretty sure the oring to measure sag went to the same place mine went look under the wiper seal. I also found riding more air then recommended by manufacturer helps with brake dive . I'm a big guy and have ridden some steep and rootie and rocky terrain and I was not dissatisfied keep riding it and your confidence will grow . I have even seen a few of these forks at Whistler bike park and after asking some questions the people really didn't seem disappointed after all it is a budget fork. I think of it as being much like the old marzocchi jr.t. wich had a 9mm qr 32mm stanctions and v.brakes and were also 135 mm travel sketchy at first but I loved and would ride them all over again.
Thats great man, thanks for the heads up! We will see were this fork goes next, but really looking forward to it.
Love the look of the duel crowns. Just makes it look mean or some mad max vehicle of some sort.
Man you guys are crazy haha! I wouldn’t trust that fork at all! This was an exiting video haha I’ve been exited to see that thing out in the trails!
Thanks Matteo, so happy you enjoyed and glad we kept your attention:) That was by far the SKETCHIEST FORK EVER!!! LOL
Great Video. Glad you're in one piece. ✌🤟👍
Thanks Brother, I am too!!
Your giggles are like saying: I can't believe I didn't lose a limb.👍
Just bought a Himalo dual crown for mu XRpro. Wish me luck 🍀. I won't be doing any black diamond trails any time soon though.
😅Appreciate it brother, love that you got one. TIGHTEN THE CROWNS!
I think you should try putting the spacers under the top crown and the stem flush on the top crown, and that should fix the head tube and all. Love the videos and the tests on this budget forks.
Thanks man, and not bad thinking. The only problem I see is not being able to set the stem down flush, and the caps for air/compression will rub the bars. I guess a few spacers may work? We will fix her up right if we install then on the Ledge. Thanks man
Air bike is a UK brand thats still cheap but seems amazingly gokd so far. No issues for me (i bought 15mm thru axle and used a thru axle to qr adaptor)
Airbike also comes with 4 bolts per crown
Nice man, I do wish they made an adapter for a 9mm to a 15mm
It being dark is not an issue if you get proper lights. I have exposure Sixpack on the bar, and Diablo on my helmet. All in one light, no battery packs and cables to worry about. But I have a a remote connected to the Sixpack so I can switch modes and turn it on and off. The remote is sold seperatly. These lights are not cheap, but they ar eworth it, they provide enough light and batter time for a long ride. If you set them up right you will have enough light, and not us eup the battery too fast. I have the Diablo at lowest setting and pointing infront of the bike, this assure I have light in the corner and infront of me. Sixpack I have shining the trail far ahead of me. The light shines last a full sized stadium, so I think you will be satisfied, good spread too. But it's not a low budget light, but it provides what it promises, and is built well and you can send it in for repair.
That's interesting, although I don't think it would work for filming like it does for just riding.👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS an action camera won't do the light justice, but I have some videos with these lights. for riding they are great.
but if you for filming the bike and the parts filming indoors should be fine.
When riding I actually use my lights even when I don't need them to see, to make the camera see.
of course these lights are not for photography, but you could adjust the brightness on them if needed. But lights for photo and videography exist. quite small and portable, and powerful and adjustable lights, can even change the color of the light, I forgot the name of these, but several brands of these of lights exist. But I've not tried them. of course you can't make a huge area to day, for that you need many floodlights high up, but you can't makke the dark sky bright. but if you need a small area to be well lit, and you need portable lights or have lights in a car, and set them up there, that could work. but not something I've tried.
Although I think the fork looks cool (kind of) it also looks scary as hell and doesn't really look up to the job that its pretending it can do. Man, I was nervous for you watching it and kudos to you for still sending it even with little confidence in the fork.
Great video as alway gents
Take care 👍😎🍻
Man "little confidence" is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! LOL Thanks Dan and be sure to let us know if a little mail reaches you!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I dont think I've ever seen you both look so worried 😂.
Yes, the mail arrived day before yesterday. Thank you so much! Jacobs going to love it, we're going to give it to him on Christmas day. Stickers are awesome too, going to run out of places to put them 😂😂😂
Thanks again guys, really appreciate it 🍻👍🍺
Well that's cool I use to live in Russellville and been to MT Nebo many times.
Thanks for watching man, Mt Nebo is LEGIT!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I have been up there a lot but to walk and the pool there.
My brother rides up there.
Great review. Glad you were able to push through the sketch. When are we getting a full squish head to head?
Thanks Brother, very interesting to day the least. Lol Now maybe once we get the Ledge, XR pro and Temissor done up we will do a triple vs!!
I know you don’t shy away from sketchy but them forks seemed super sketchy… from the oil leaking to the stanchions being slightly off 🤦🏾♂️ but you made it down 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Enjoyed the vid and looking forward to the next one #wolfticknation
SUPER SKETCHY INDEED!! So glad we made it down man and so happy you were there with me!! LOL Much Love and hope your thanksgiving was GREAT!
Lol, great video, but might have to see a teardown video of that fork before I'm sold!
NOT SOLD???? LOL!!!
great video
Thank you Dondo
Those things look plane old dangerous bro. 💪🏻✊🏻👍🏻
OH PAUL....THEY ARE!!!! HA HA HA!!
There is a saying in my country : more balls than brains. That test reminds me o that saying 😁 but, jokes aside, you're a brave man. I'd do that run, maybe, when I was in my 20s. Now, no way. But I'm glad you're safe and that you safely bailed on start. Stay safe brother 💪
HA HA Great saying!! Here its called DUMB:) But thank you for watching and how old are you?? SEND IT MARIO!! HA HA Stay safe as well and see ya next week!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS 42 years young :)
Great video that fork may work better on a full suspension bike like the ledge.
INSTALLING NEXT LIKE WE MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO!!:)
the hack, awesome
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I enjoyed watching this video because as you know I been bugging you guys for a while now to see your friends GT pantera with downhill forks, the gt agressor is similar so it works!
I think you guys should get some better downhill forks for the GT Agressor and leave them on!
🤣🤣🤣Man my buddy Kaleb with the Pantera has moved to TENESSEE!! LOL 😆 So sorry for that, but glad you got to see this instead!! HA HA see you on the next man👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS hahaha it's ok but yea it was a cool, if you recommend any good tapered downhill forks for my gt pantera let me know
I think I'd pass on this one (being old and slow, I'm not in the market for a DH fork anyways 🤪), enjoyed every minute watching though, guys, have a great week! 😁✌
You too brother, thanks for the comments as always and really enjoy reading them:)
that fork looks killer!
DUDE! I love the looks but most think its FUGLY!!! HA HA HA!
Totally awesome! Cojones Grandes. Gotta love you starting out with warnings about not using this fork on the street before thrashing it on a trail. I really don't like that ABS feature where the fork hits the wheel when you bottom out. You avoiding going over the bars as the fork & tire meet is a testament to your riding skill. I miss healing fast enough to try stupid s**t like that;)
I'm not sure how to fit it in to your purely syentifik ratings but perhaps not feeling safe on a fork should earn penalty points?;)
Thanks Brother, it was interesting. Now the ABS comment was freaking GREAT!!😂😂😜😜🔥 WOW FUNNY, now of we were to penalize for a unsafe feature, all of our forks but two or so would not break 15pts!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS That's hysterical. This is the first one you were obviously suspicious of. More power to you though for thrashing all of them any way.
MAXXIS Assegai 3C MaxxTerra EXO Tubeless Ready Folding Tire
27.5 x 2.50"
Hmmmm....Need to research
Not sure if this is the same model of DH fork I purchased but it went onto my XC mountain bike for leisure rides with family. The fork tubes being uneven is something I noticed too but I had to go to extreme measures to fuck that up.
On my fork, the knob at the bottom doesn't click anymore, just spins freely so I'm pretty sure I either broke it or it unthreaded itself somehow. The lockout is fantastic as mentioned in the video and with the fork unlocked, it feels really good.
However, I wouldn't take these forks to a serious trail like in the video. Light trails and road stuff is fine but I don't think it's durable enough for serious rides.
Just got some for my E-Bike
NICE!! Let us know how they do please!
I was nervous for you. Riding on the edge of disaster!
Jamie!! Man hope the trip went well👍👍 Like thay song Flirtin With Disaster- Molly Hatchet
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS the trip was incredible. 226 miles, probably 100 rapids. the trip of a lifetime for sure. i hope to go again asap. i’ll email you some photos. i’m glad to be back to civilization, the wolftick nation and some mtb shredding.
The air pressure sticker has two 170's. You actually set it for 140lbs.
🏆You get that for being the first to comment about the two 170s on the chart👍. Now if you go back and look 170 is 85-100psi and we went with 95psi. So you missed on that one, but batting .500 is defenitly a good thing😜🤣. Thanks man
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Shoot, I did miss that🙄. Had to Google "batting 500" too 😄. Anyway, CUTGW lads and nice dismount Jer!!
😂👍
do you run tubless on the axum or ardor and ledge now since the guys in the FB groups say you can run the stock rims of those bikes ghetto tubless especially axum
We only have the GT set up tubeless with no plans on doing any other bikes. We don't see the benefits in running tubeless, plus we have too many bikes and it would make maintenance a nightmare.
As i mentioned. You needed to push your double crown up. Lol. Leaves suck sliding on too. Ouch! Lol.
😂😂😂👍
Good review. You just might need an actual groomed downhill course to really get a feel on them.
Def a groomed one would be nice! Thanks Dave
Love the vids! Btw what do you think about a xcr34 air boost with black stanchions 140mm travel and custom dust wiper seals?
Man have not ridden it but, sounds out of our price range and 🔥🔥🔥😂😂
I was more worried about the amount fork that was above the stem ... you need to put a tennis ball on it so you javelin yourself Tick.... or a potato mod for Berserker Nick... 🤪
OH how did the tourny go? Hope you whipped that 455.............
🤣🤣😂😂 POTATO MOD!!!
Potato protection 🥔
I love how DH forks make bikes look a little bit like a dirtbike. I'd probably pass on those forks though lol
All hat no CATTLE:(
how does this cheap dh fork compare to a markhor rockshocks silver tk or a epixon or xcr air since they are in the same price range. or how does it compare to something like a bucklos bolony or ztz
15:12 starts the scoring and discussing the fork and where we thought it should place.
Himalo has a 36mm stanchion 190mm travel version of this fork, maybe you should try it out, looks much sturdier
Man we have 3 forks we will be updating this next video. This fork being one of them:) But a 36mm and 190 SEEMS LEGIT!! GOTTA CHECK IT!! THANKS HUGALDO
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I have a Himalo 36mm 140 travel, it's sick, but there's both a 36mm 180 travel and a dual crown 36mm 190 travel, I might buy one of those, the 180mm is a Suntour R2C2 copy
I really like your fork rating system. I think it gives good insight into individual highs and lows of each fork. But I think maybe your aprehention over this fork may have kept you from really giving it the chance it deserved.
It should have been tested on the jump park and Cat's Meow but Jeremiah insisted he take it on a downhill trail. He is recovering from some injuries and that fork is sketchier than it looks. When he is fully recovered we might take it to the jump park. In all fairness the only category that I feel wasn't fully explored is "The Bigs" and it still got a 7.5 so at best it may get another point, but it also might loose a point if pushed harder. Hope this gives you something to ponder😉. Thanks Chris👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS what you say makes total sense! I wrote the comment while watching the video. I wasn't on the bike risking getting hurt!
Wow never been so nervous watching a video 😅
NEVER BEEN SO NERVOUS FILMING ONE!! LOL THANKS BROTHER
Compression ring,,, what are you doing, assembling pressurized tubing?
Sketchy forks. Thanks for being everyone's crash test dummy. Lol. Stay safe out there. Almost time for another Tick in the snow fat tire ride!!
Dude!! PLEASE DO NOT MENTION SNOW!!!!! LOL
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS HaHaHa 😂 already got a bit of it up here.
Maybe service them and use a full squish bike. And direct mount is great. For the downhill forks. Me I might have checked it with the over haul. Oil check coil. And if the Stantcions. Compress the front break and push forward on the fork if it wiggles then loose. As well you can see if it bends. Or set to soft. For that fork to be pogo sticking. Settings or oil or coil is a miss. Sorry I comment a lot. I think of things. Plus memory issue makes me forget what I want to comment
Great ideas, we are going to install in the Ledge X1!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yeah I fix bikes and downhill bikes I own and fix my friends bike.
Yeah. Be careful. All of us care about you. First fork that you've reviewed that I wouldn't trust. I went for a ride in the mud, rocks and leaves four days ago. Very slippery. The Epixon handled it like a champ. We have snow now. Still gonna ride until it gets too deep.
Man you are a WILD MAN!! HA HA So glad you got that awesome Epixon, now that is a fork! Later AL
I’ve found a mongoose brutus. Single speed fat bike. Would it be possible to add a 7 speed cassette to it? Or should I wait and buy a Malus?
Man thats a sweet bike! If you want to have gears I would say wait till the Malus, a fat bike rear wheel with a freehub is EXPENSIVE!! But if its a good enough deal and makes sense maybe the Brutus then work from there?? Or save up I should say:)
Do you recommend it for light trails?
Mate ,I'd put a hose clamp (good quality ones ) on each side as a backup to stop it shooting through the top...saw some Himalo DH forks Online with 2 bolts per side on the lower brace part (?),.perhaps an updated or newer version ?
Maybe? Still not too sure about these suckers, that is a great idea though....Appreciate the comment Skip
You know it’s gonna be a good one when right out of the gates Ticks jumping the bars giggling like a schoolgirl 🤣
TOTAL SCHOOLGIRL!! LOL
Sooo so sketch 😭😭. Keeps me coming back to you guys haha
Hahaha we are happy to keep you sketched out😉🤣👍
Will the fork fit the stock Axum hub? I got A Himalo Drift 32 and figured out it is a boost fork with a 110 axle. Thx
This fork will fit a Axum Stock Hub
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS what about the Himalo drift 32. Mine was a boost with 110 spacing. Was yours?
@I've You I don't remember for sure, but here is the Initial Impressions video that will have more info on it. Remember that there are time stamps in the description. I think the fork stuff starts around the twelve minute mark or so. Sorry it took so long getting back. We are having problems with the comments getting lost.
czcams.com/video/887qdf-nosI/video.html
What was the motivation to have the tubes so far through the crown at the start?
We were trying to set it up with the least amount of stress on the GT frame and the fork as possible. When completely extended the tension put on everything was more than we were comfortable with. We are still going to play with this fork but not sure if we are going to really beat on it. Hope this helps you understand our mindset.
I think it would be a different fork if you had a direct mount stem .
I agree, it looks like we may install a riser bar🤘
How much travel does it have with no air? does it get the full 135mm?
You must have missed this one. We did all kinds of stuff and showed some of it on the Initial Impressions video here:
czcams.com/video/fJ01kiD1TIU/video.html
I would like to see a test of a good mid range fork like a Z1 or fox 34 or 36 or lyrik judt as a baseline for comparison
Well we have a budget cap of $400 dollars new so here is that group. By the way we love your J. C. user name as we both are J. C.'s as well👍
czcams.com/video/MbLN2nlo6oQ/video.html
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS 👍 thanks!
I think the only real use case for this fork would be to maybe use it on an oldschool downhill bike but even then its still pretty sketch
Def SKETCHY!!
It looks like the top crown on the forks is upside down?
Man dont know?? Possibly, but I mounted it the same way it was shipped I think?? That is interesting though, thank you and when we install it on another bike (ledge X1) we will take a closer look, thanks
You don't bring tools with you when you go somewhere to ride?
can you try to review a Weapon animal pro fork, its a double crown fork too and less than 200 bucks.
We wish we could try a few of their forks but we can't seem to get them. If you know of a way for us to get them, we would love to review and score them.👍
Yeah there is a lot more that goes into adjusting the axle to crown to the stanchion top height with a double crown fork. This is to prevent the tire from rubbing the lower crown as you noticed. This should have been seen correctly from the factory. Thanks for reviewing this absolutely useless but scary looking fork haha.
Man when we install it on the Ledge X1 we will def need to take a good look allover!! It needs to be triple checked so we can SHRED PROPERLY!! Thanks man and see ya on the next:)
Can you review the 36mm himalo 170mm travel forks! It's supposed to be an improvement on these
Man that sounds interesting, may have to look those up!! Thanks
Well idk if you’ll see this but I just broke the himalo dh 680 they don’t like pine trees at about 15 mph twisted and broke the stanchion brace and took a slide on my belly about 10 ft I think I’m gonna try one of them forks from your video yesterday once work picks back up if you would like I can send pics for reference
Oh my god!! I hope you are ok!! I don't mean to laugh but mN the comment once I figured you were OK had me lauging!! LOL If you wanna send a picture checkout our about on the channel page, the email is there. Looking forward to the pic.
I sent them let me know if they don’t show up and I’ll try again. Luckily it only cost me $200 could have been apart of the clavicle club🤷🏼♂️🤣

That fork seems sketchy... but on the plus side it didn't put you into a tree like the other himalo fork did so there's that
Man I love the Lemonade out of Lemons!! Just put me off the TRAIL!! LOL
I did not service my bomber monster T and it was squishy like that. Made it interesting but one run and they got serviced. No pogo stick you got check out Rob dis. He send hardtail with triple clamp forks. And if you ride forks. When you hear it go tap tap tap..or squishy sounds. Something is not correct
Interesting....Thanks man
Well that was interesting 🧐 lol
Did the stanchions move in the crowns after the ride?
I mean do you think that they would sell you something that wasn’t safe or tested and possibly risk a lawsuit? Or will they just stand by they’re warning label?
Good job boys!
I don't believe it has a warning sticker, but we need to take another look to make sure. The fork is definitely on the sketchy side🤣. Thanks man👍
Good luck trying to sue a Chinese manufacturer. I ordered this fork a day before I saw your review because I liked another of their forks. Oh well. I might have to modify their retention system for piece of mind. Going on a full suspension home built ebike
@Mike Gray Exactly. People don't realize that suing a Chinese business or company is going to be pretty much impossible. We aren't huge on either one of the Himalo forks we have tested, but so far they have held up. Good luck man.
wow didnt expect the crown rubbing on the tire tread. must be tired riding that 40 pound hyper after ur gt
HA HA Actually did not ride the hyper that day, but good EYES!
Does it have a manual lockout?
Yes it does:)
Is this a decent fork for an ebike at least?...just flat concrete, no trails or jumps..
I could see it being used for that, it's tough but make sure everything is tight. Especially with an ebike, but i would not be afraid of it at all.

The Downhill fork is for Downhill not a trail or XC fork , so that being said you have to do a review on a downhill bike not a XC bike like the GT.
Good point, the GT was the most capable it being a 34mm headtube. That and proper upgrades, but we may look at it again on the Ledge x1
Entonces la recomiendas???
Well Luis, we do not recommend things...So it's up to you to make up your delicious based upon our review. Good luck! 👍
I don't think I've seen you genuinely worried about a fork on the show before... I'm wondering if the feeling you were getting in travel is related to the oil leak and maybe a blown seal? (There's definitely a dirty joke in there somewhere🤣)
Man totally nervous about this fork, maybe the feeling was lack of oil?? Its aways good to be sure there is NO LEAK!!!
Nothing wrong with these budget forks ,some mtb snobs will hate anything inexpensive 😅lmno
That's black diamond line 🤣
I would call it a double blue if that were a thing😂. The definition for a black diamond includes a particularly steep climb or descent. I'm going with that was the deciding factor, but it is a great trail regardless of rating. You should check out Mt. Nebo it has some great trails for sure.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS 🤣
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I don't have any trails here in india
Tell you the truth your dad looks like Corey from pawn shop but an older version😅😅😅😅😅😂
was that a Monty Python reference at 16.01 ?
Nah, not a reference but Wolfman says with him being a movie buff, YOU NEVER KNOW!! LOL
its not the 9mm qr im worried about its the stancion hitting the bar. i have never had a qr 9mm axle break on me and i have landed super hard in my bike, then again i have never done big jumps. your only usinf it for trails
We never worry about 9mm quick release breaking, it's the coming undone that has happened to The Tick several times now that we worry about. With so much to keep an eye on with that fork we were concerned that he might forget to keep an eye on the lever getting loose. Thanks man
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS ive had then come loose twice ever because im 240 punds had and i did one big jump landed flat 7 feet long 4 feet high and finally it came loose and my wheels bearly went out of alignment, the 9 mm are tough
This fork seems to me to be a 'stance' fork, looking the part as opposed to being the part. I would rate this as one step shy of total bodily harm and dismemberment if you take it on a real trail.
LOL!! Man luckily it was leafy out there:) Def could not bash on it to much but so glad it hung!!
It’s just made to look like a DH fork ?
Yep pretty much:0
Your hack for the rebound might get your foot stuck in your spokes lol. Be careful.
I will:) Thanks for looking out man👍
