Heck yeah guys clean build! Stoked on this video 🤘🏻
Thanks my dudes 😀🤘
I really appreciate that you talk numbers when you’re talking about size specific parts. A lot of people don’t talk about the or say what size parts they are using
I realy like that little details.👌😎
Planning on doing same thing to my Pivot ‘21 Mach 6 . Same color scheme too . Thanks man Learned a lot !
Right on brotha
Nice. I still work with mental health people and addiction and I get called with a suicide I go to help with police ..it hard to see that but a life is saved. Welcome back Tony. Been a minute.
Dude that’s amazing keep being a hero, we need more of you! Yes, it’s good to be back, so stoked please share vid if you can want to come back hard 🤘
@@MTBdropIN yes I had to go get someone from cutting their neck. And I talked for 3 hours and they handed me the knife and I went to the hospital with them so I know they got a room and safe ..the cop told me he never met anyone like me .he stated I learned so much from talking. Your gonna be called more from us I’m gonna tell my boss your the one to call to save someone. ….and now the police call me …I don’t do this to be special I do this because it’s a life to save. It is someone who is lost in life. ..I give a lot of ideas and wisdom. ..I go to elderly place and do talks with them so they have mind exercise. …when we leave the elderies alone they go down and we loose them. So I go and do groups. Bingo or dance or just a cup coffee and listen. I met a guy who stated he was the last man from his army group I forgot the name of that he was depressed that he was the last one. So I made a call and the next day at.east 30 of them showed up. The next day after that he passed away …. I’m glad I had a chance to even hear his stories. And I visit his cemetery once a week. RIP SGT ROSS THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE …
Damn bro! That last story rocked me! Loneliness is the hardest to beat! That was amazing my brother … keep up the good work and keep commenting and let me know how you are doing! Thanks for sharing if you don’t mind I may share this comment at some point anonymously
I was thinking about doing this to my SB165 - any major things to be aware of? (Other than in vid obviously) thanks
Wow now that looks well nice 👍🇬🇧
Thanks brotha
Hi team, well done on that project,
Whats the size of the reducer again?as im currently using a single crown tapered and wanted to do same as what u did guys, thanks
Did you run a different fork offset crown to get the right feel; are you using the 56mm?
hey, question, why would you want a higher stack / higher rise bars? the forks are already longer (axle to crown), oyu have more travel, the front end will be much higher already, why put it even higher? thanks
Do you have a review or maybe doing double crown 40 on Nomad 4 before?
I use the dumonde tech freehub oil, super sick
Edit: of you like a loud hub do not use it but if you want minimal wear and friction it's the best, hands down
Agreed 🤘🤘
a question in which store did you get the orange fox 40 ??????
love the videos- Canada Langley British Columbia
Thanks brother 🍻
Can you place give a link on those parts your using.
Like the industry nine convention kit. Do I need to replace the bearings to fit the 20x110 axle? And the crown race please i need the link on it also.
Thanks so much.
It depends on your wheel
👍 📹
Awesome 😱
Ha ha thanks my brother
What rake you have in the FOX40?
The grease thing was interesting, I've not heard that before. Definitely something I will look into. Do you know anywhere to find more info on this?
No unfortunately but it was very interesting to hear for sure
Wait. What, so it's micro gel grease?
guys were did you get that fork stem?
4 hours, a trip to LBS, and hardware store visit. That's pretty much how all my installs and repairs go.
Lol, yeah I can relate lol
@@MTBdropIN I'll figure it out wth or without lbs help. But the cf rims are made that way. I just don't really understand why.
Can I put the same fork on a Roscoe 7 ?
Could you do this on an SB5.5?
maybe i missed it but is the fox40 190mm or 203mm?
Link for the Crown Race Please
That human in the black shirt doing all the doings, ... very sympathic person! (german is 'sympathisch' and the english word 'likeable' would be 'mögensfähig' if translated directly ... which is ... elegant like walking on 3m stilts without being able to walk on 3m stilts, so i stick with he's a sehr sympathischer Mensch! ... :)
Does it void warranty
Do you think it will work with an Yt Capra 2017 Al ? What about the frame? I've heard it might snap.. or is it just rumors?
Thank you
I bought a fox 40 a couple years ago. If you’re worried about your head tube breaking. Take the air spring out. Cut the shaft to what ever travel you want. Just minus where you want to be minus 203mm. Take the cut off piece, put it in a vice and unscrew the fitting. Take a die and retread the shaft and screw the fitting back on. It takes about an hour.
@@jefflachance8459 Thank you for the information, but I calmed my hype down, after rationalising, it will be too overkill for the trails I ride, but maybe someday as a side project, cheers!
My front wheel does not spin freely. There is way too much resistance. And why is there no hook/lip on the rim edge..is the tire going to blow off or leak sealant?
No there is something very off definitely take to you nearest bike shop 🤙
That mod will be great on a 160e.
How would you compare this to a traditional DH bike?
It’s a lot more versatile I would not pedal a traditional downhill bike up a hill
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks brotha
Sick bro!
@@chrisbernal1347 thank so much 😎🤘
Wouldn’t the stack height increase approximately 30mm by putting the longer travel fork on
Dual crown forks have a lower axle to crown measurement for the same travel as a single crown so to get the same stack some spacers may need to be used
Whoever told you it would take 15 minutes was waaaay over exaggerating how quick it would be 😂
Did this not really mess with the geometry? 203mm 29" fork on what's made for 180mm 27.5. Pinkbike did it but used 190mm 27.5 and siad the axle to crown was about the same at 190mm. But this with 29 and no reduction in travel this must have made the front end way too high? Looking at putting dual crown on my 165 but surly running 203mm travel is too much even for 27.5, never mind a 29er.
That's what I was thinking as well, especially after he started talking about running a 50mm high rise bar. 9:40 I would think that would put the front end way too high and you wouldn't be able tk get much weight over the front wheel for corners
I have tested on my sb165, boxxer with 200 mm and boxxer with 190 mm, and 200 mm performs much much better....allways with 27.5"....original head angle with 180 mm single is 63.5, with double crown 190 mm like 64, and with 200 mm should be around 62.5-63. If you mullet this bike you should go 160-170 mm single, or 180 mm double, or you will have a Harley Davinson
@@robertoruiz139 Yeah I've got 27.5 boxxers on my 165, I preferred 190mm as at 200mm it felt pretty sluggish out front and harder to turn especially in tighter sections. Although, that could be because of the 44mm offset on my boxxers, what are yours?190 boxxer should keep the original head angle around the same as the axle to crown is very similar. I've got some 160mm 29er forks which feel great on the 165 too, climbs well at 160, wouldn't go 170 29er on it.
@@ollievann Thanks for your comments! I bought the 36 mm offset Boxxer, wich was more similar to the original offset the sb165 had with the Fox 180 (37.5 mm)...with 190 mm the problem was high steps, I was felling way more difficult taht even with the original 180, because axel to crown was 5 mm shorter or something like that
I have same performance in jumps, better performance in drops, and in curves more or less the same.....i´m not pedalling too much , so is better for me!
Great video. Please do an update
We shall see 🤟
This was awesome, but links would be helpful.
I thought you couldn’t put dh forks on because it was tapered
How does it ride?
Rides like a tank
Does anyone in this world know where to buy a fox 40 fork? I can’t find any
Call spokeX in Temecula, ca
We have one in the shop at @spokex, hit me up, here is my email tony@spokex.com
Do a video of how it rides
I know I wish it sold before I could
I might tripping or do I see two rear shock
do u live in carlsbad
Somewhere close 🤘
With the 3rd of October 1938, Karlsbad belonged to the 3rd Reich. Nowadays it's Czech ... :(
What up bro do you remember me
From where my dude?
Tijuana bro
Ohhhhhh, right on brotha how are you!?
I'm fine and you
I’m good just getting back to the grind
That thing would be overpowered in enduro
Put it on a xc bike
Yohhhhhhhhh 😵
This is such a wack bike, XC cranks, 12 speed, dropper post with a duel crown fork.. you will only get laughed at bud. not to mention 200mm of front travel with only 160 in the back is so unbalanced.
And?
That is fuckin bad ass bro. I love that Monster.
