Also, what I'm thinking for myself that might give you some ideas that can give me some idess, you could extend your wheel well to meet flush with the outside of the new fender and seal the seam with seam sealer or panel bond. And if you panel bond all the way around to secure the overfender to what remains of the actual quarter, in addition to or in place of rivets, you can make it air tight. I've been giving this some thought. But if there's a major flaw in what I'm thinking I'd love to know before I'm too far into it

I've been debating on doing this but want to know cons besides the smoke issue. Lrb speed makes good interior panels I already have installed with double sided foam strips to help seal the interior from the outside. That back portion is what I want to see covered...so I can copy. Good work.

Reuse some to extend you wheel wheels to the inner lip on the overfender.

The timing of this video is crazy. Im doing the same thing with my 99 2.5rs and it's 22b wide body kit. Though cutting my quarters is partly to get at some rust..

i understand what your trying to accomplish but, the amount or structural rigidity vs weight loss is in negative. you could have gone about it in a different way and kept most of the front of the quarter. that would accomplish your clearence and set it up for rear tube and fiberglass rear body. however, how else does some one learn to improve right?

Sad to see this car ruined for nothing. Good luck having worse aerodynamics and extra drag. Also with problems like water and smoke in the car. Should've saved more weight by carbon fiber parts like roof and bonnet and lighter wheels etc
