As someone who was an officer at Angola I wish more videos like this were online. So many inmates I’ve seen that made mistakes young and served some long ass sentences. Their whole lives gone. It’s sad , it really is. A lot of people don’t understand that shit can happen to anyone, anyone could end up in Cuffs. It’s not somewhere you want to be. Glad to see some make it out & become a better person. Good luck to you.
My brother served 18 years In Angola
20 years on paper he’s already done 20 man America have no mercy on young black kids
20 years on paper is insane your free but still locked up
It’s hard but it’s fair!!
That's why you should vote the right people in office bc we the people are the ones that make the rules . So thank the people around you that put these officials in office.
Good interview. Dude seems like a solid guy that has learned a huge lesson, albeit at a huge price. I wish him the best going forward and look forward to part 2.
This was a great interview. This guy should be a speaker in high school classes. I hope he find great success.
He is very humble and for sure have learn learn a well deserved lesson . Now go for the gold my brother. And I'm sure you already know to keep God first 🖐️🙋🏾 Vicksburg Mississippi is in the house 🖐️
God truly kept and blessed this man. Hallelujah
Seems like a great guy! All the best to this guy he paid his dues and im sure he has alot to offer to society...

Wish him the best and hope he stays on the right path
Nice looking Man ,you served you time gracefully Blessings 🙏🏻
Enjoyed this interview. As a Louisianaian, it’s in me to make this correction- Louisiana State Penitentiary (at Angola)
Much respect for this man how he cope and made it out the system is against ppl of color even to this day but his mentality made him strong and a better person now his experience good luck on his endeavors. Use to be a correctional officer. Great message
That's how it was when I was coming up I live in the project I was born in 1949 and everybody would look out for one another in today's society it's every man for himself this is why black people minorities will never have anything or get anywhere until we grow back caring for one another stay out of trouble watch who you hang around looking for the elders they've been there they are older and have more experience that's what's wrong with the some young people in today's society they don't know how to listen and don't want to
Good job
Amazing human. God bless.
20 years .. 23 hrs in a cell.
Hey, I’m from Opelousas too. It’s ab an hour and a half car ride.
Wheres the rest of interview? Im sittin here on outskirtz of Savannah Ga going thru some struggles and i just got hooked….. then dropped! Lol
Where part 2
It is his lawyers fault he did not understand his sentence. Angola has some of the best rehab programs in the country. It is a tough as can be joint. But all the rehab programs are faith based.Warden Cain is a strong born again Christian as are many staff and other inmates. They have a college program od training up Pastors and Chaplains. The Chaplains move on to serve in other facilities till they sentence out, then ther Babtist Church places them. They are college educated and legally ordained ministers.cain is trying to get more housing built for elderly and ill prisoners who sentence out. All they know is angola.
I spent 6 years at Angola it was not a good place to be
Would u like to talk about it on my channel?
Hot boy jessie the best thing that I learned from Angola was that when people get locked up there, they are literally dead men walking. When I left and was transferred to another prison, 99 percent of those there were doing life sentences without parole. I am glad that I can say that I have been one of the ones who never returned to prison after release. I am retired and enjoying my life
This was my most replayed video this year.
Handsome man… why are the finest black men incarcerated? Smh
Because they are committing crimes.
It also seems there is a hell of a lot not being said. The interviewer and interviewee understand each other.
I think he’s done with a life of crime. 20 years ain’t no joke.
Brother got caught up that's the problem in today's society you have to watch your every move brother said he learned how to play chess chess is a game of life the wrong move you get checkmated you have to protect your king think about how the game is played it's just like life let the wrong move and you get checkmated wow
Opelousas parish is RUFF!!
I was suppose to be given 20 instead of 40 years but I did get 20 years but they told me I was getting 40 years I was going to get 20 years so I got 40 years and I have another 20 years.
"Ya know what I'm saying"
Why does he keep saying that
“Almost like the 10 commandments, but vis versa.” Wtf doesn’t that mean??
He was saying in jail you should not kill or steal but they still do
He seems a lil goofy; you would think after serving so much time he would answer the questions with a serious attitude
Man say attempted murder on 2 police officers wow
J.Consitutional

Terrible interview. He had great difficulty getting across his point. The interviewer would ask a question and he would talk around the question. Then the interviewer would try to dissect the intended answer. How is helping the COs being the political people. Huh? Asked to give examples of terrible shit he seen in there and he couldn't give one. Yet he responds how we would be there all day listening to his examples.
why are you drying clothes during an interview
ha ha 🤣
When he gives one of his upcoming " speeches " he might want to delete the crap " you know what I'm saying? "
What about his VICTIMS and their suffering!
Especially when he is grinning when he started reading his charges
Ask that to the state... is he supposed to get the death penalty ??
He paid he's debt to society and the victims of his crimes, per the state charges.
