  • I had the best experience being assessed for autism. I can't share the exact place I went, but I can say I found my assessor on the Neuroclastic Directory of Diagnosticians, a list that includes many neuroaffirming assessors around the world.

Very relatable when it comes to the hanging out with the younger kids and cousins. I could never relate to those of my age, and that’s always been a progressive thing for me throughout my life.

Thank you for sharing this look at your diagnosis info. This is a very brave thing to let strangers into, and as a late diagnosed female, just two months ago at 59 years old, I can relate to many things you have experienced growing up. I'm at the stage of feeling that this can't be real, and trying to process my memories thru an AuDHD lens. This was helpful to listen to and helped put a lot of things into perspective. It is my experience that once the diagnosis comes thru, there really isn't any other support out there. It's all up to the individual to unravel and figure out. For me, I wasn't very self-aware, I guess, so I didn't even understand that I had sensory difficulties or that I masked a lot, or that noise is a problem as to whether I can think clearly. So please keep sharing. Your content is very appreciated!❤

One of my autistic phobias is those high diving boards that used to be considered a normal and necessary part of swim classes for kids. The fact is that those have led to many ER visits. I’m so glad that most public pools no longer have those!

I don’t like red sauce either, unless it’s on pizza or the really good Italian or local kind. I’m autistic too!

The way percentile works is that 50ĝ is average, representing most of the population. If you score in the 90s that means you're much higher than most people. For example, when my kids were babies, I breastfed and overfed my first-born until I learned to interpret her cues better, so she was in the 95th percentile for weight. Then with my son I was more experienced so he was always 50th percentile for weight. So you have an above-average ability to stay organized and on-task compared to most of the test-takers, which makes sense for having autism with no ADHD.

Wow, I thought I couldn't understand speech on TV because I'm not an English native speaker. And the same for not being able to find words during conversations (I have to admit these were true hearing and speaking in my native language).

Very thankful that you did this... Some sections are so relatable, some weren't but it was very helpful even just from the pov of having awareness. I shall get myself tested and assessed soon 🫶🏽

I do feel as how respectful she is to respect what other people find offensive, she would take this into consideration. I don't much like it either but I know I can't make everybody respect that

If you find it offensive, it's your responsibility to deal with it. Not everybody is religious lol
