I did that with a SIM I fulfilled all their wants. I also created a SIM and fulfilled their fears too. Just to see what happens. The first one lived a very long happy life and the other died lonely and died the day after they became elder.

One of my biggest pet peeves with the wants/fears is when something that appears in both panels. I have often had a sim want to get engaged to someone, but at the same time they fear getting engaged to that sim. Then I’ve had sims want a baby, but at the same time they fear having a baby - which is really difficult when said sim is already pregnant.
At least Ajay didnt fill the want section with wanting to catch fireflies and butterflies... During a blizzard.

In The Sims 4 this experiment would be really boring... all Sims wants the same things. I prefer wants in Sims 2 or Sims 3

This was really fun to watch! I try to fulfill my sim's wants as much as I can. I also laughed when you talked about the Freetime hobby thing and that sims usually never wanna shut up about their hobbies. Sadly after I got a Macbook and downloaded the Sims 2 by Aspyr it didn't come with Freetime or Apartment life I actually really miss those annoying wants now haha. I like dates since they gain a lot of aspiration points from it haha.
You should try dualbooting with XP, Vista or 7 (Sims 2 is super picky with 10 and 8.1 for some reason) so you can play with all eps

We really sleep on the hobbies though. They add more depth to sims that is severely lacking in 3 and 4.

Some sims in TS2 are so out there, especially with 1-on-1 play, but then AJ is just ... boring 😂💀 it might just be the way Fortune Sims are coded cause even Mary-Sue can get pulled into that boring category, even though she rolls wants with other playable sims.

@@micahcook2408 yup, Fortune sims are super boring by themselves unless they roll a want to marry a rich sim. My Mary-Sue lived some time alone and I was surprised by the fact that there's nothing interesting left about her. I then picked Knowledge as her secondary aspiration and she rolled a want to become a witch, which spiced things up a bit.

Hmm, the way I would do this challenge is I would get 4 want locks with sim blender and lock every want so that when one is fulfilled only then I get a new one. Then I would lock it again and so on. At this point I know exactly what wants will be there when a sim wakes up in the morning. It's always the same "talk about hobby", "play with sim", "earn some money" and so on. That's why I always cheat with the locks in my game and lock pretty much EVERYTHING I want to fullfil. You could say I'm a slave to my sims' wants because when I see one that gives a lot of aspiration points I'm like *heavy breathing* I already locked 3 wants in one sim? Well, time to lock all 4 of them! (And then they end up with SO MANY aspiration ponts that I do nothing with because I hardly ever use the rewards xD)
There is a cheat for locking more that one wish?
@@azzurra-6442 I don't know if there is a cheat, but it can be done with a mod called Sim Blender
@@azzurra-6442 There is also the Sim Modder and Tombstone of Life and Death. They can be spawned by using the boolProp cheat. I cannot remember which one does it, though. You can even add more wants and fears slots.

You should make a video about all your sims 2 mods, im glad someone still regularly plays TS2 all the way into 2020 but woe unto me, i have only been met with old corrupted mod files so i’d love to have you guide me to useable mods!
I made a video a few years ago and the mods still work, except InTeenimater that I got rid of a while ago.

Oh, on Russian CZcams there is a challenge named «7 wishes», in The Sims 4. Every day you fulfilled 7 wishes, until aspіration is executed. But in The Sims 2 i didn't see something like that.

the florist bench, or sometimes toymaker bench, is what the fortune aspiration wants because it makes money i guess, and it came with open for business so makes sense fortune aspiration is into that. i swear every aspiration wants the exact same thing each time if you follow their wishes and dont make them do something yourself, i often play like this so the patterns are well known to me
and oh god the myshuno game... it had to be a bug how obsessed sims were with it, i avoided that thing like hell

This is how I always played the sims 2 as a child :') but of course I always locked in the one with the biggest reward! even worse when I usually always used motherlode and maxmotives constantly... That's honestly why it stopped being fun until now that I'm playing it again but differently, although still pretty want based though.

It was interesting experience. I think trying this challenge with sim with popularity aspiration would be much harder. Family aspiration fullfiled with wants of having babies and fears about the same thing also could be funny ;-)

I actually did this experiment with pleasure aspiration, created sim with identical personality (like Ajay), played a sim week and it was a lot, lot easier. I was also playing in Strangetown, in the same house. I wasn't locking wants.
Dating, hanging out on Downtown and socializing gives your sim fun, tons of aspiration points and friends needed to get a promotion.
Plus, it doesn't cost simoleons.
After week, my sim ended up with 77 750 aspiration points, on 7th career level, with 4 friends, wife and puppy.
But what was really interesting - HE WANTED to get engaged and marry one sim he was dating and these wants weren't vanishing.
Probably the Fortune aspiration is more "strong" than Pleasure and overhelm the secondary.
He probably wanted the florist bench because of his fortune aspiration. The item came with Open for Business.

I play like that all the time. My whole gameplay is pretty much based on the wants of my Sims. Try fulfilling every Romance and/or Pleasure wants, that's a lot of fun xd
sims 2 on ps2 had so many doors as well! i think that’s part of why i was kind of creeped out by it lol. even sims 3 on PC creeped me out. sims 4 never creeps me out, and i wonder if that has to do with graphics (and is a semi good thing, no uncanny valley), or gameplay (which, to me, is a bad thing)
At least if it’s mostly only about their hobbies, it makes more sense than the Sims 4 whims XD every sims 4 sim wants to search the web for information on vampires... WHY?! :P

This is an old video so you probably know this now but the reason your hobby wants mod isn't working is because you have it installed in Downloads rather than the game files under The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Wants. You need to replace the default WantsTrees package with the one the mod gives you.
I know because I did the same thing for like 100+ hours of gameplay in my main hood (Sims 2 Sunset Valley) and after I moved the file location I completely stopped getting the Talk about Hobby and Blog About Hobby wants, and the amount of hobby wants I got in general was vastly reduced.

This is literally just how I play normally 💀. I just try to give them their wants and get them skills for their careers. If I'm feeling evil, do a fear for some drama. This is why I couldn't play on the Sims 4 for ages, it was literally just a lifeless dollhouse.

Hi Gabriel! You need this to enable recolors for objects that can't be recolored (like the outdoor chess or the piano): www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=92541
And then just go into ModTheSims, type "recolor" into the search bar and download whatever you like!

This is such a fun challenge to do. I've never been able or tried to complete all my Sims' wants because some of them are so outlandish. I also really enjoyed doing this in The Sims 3. It's a shame that the system is not as good in The Sims 4. Also, I was wondering if you knew about the glitches that are in The Sims 2 Ultimate Edition that EA released on Origin. It's mainly black boxes and choppy graphics. And the screen flickers. It's so annoying and I cannot seem to fix it. I've been playing the game since it came out, and I am so irritated that I am not able to play it anymore.
Have you googled it? For the squares there's shadow fix on ModTheSims, and for flickering there's Graphics Rules Maker.

Unfortunately I can't play Sims 4 in English, that's why there aren't many videos of this part on my English channel. Plus, whims in Sims 4 are a disaster and I turned them off xD I could try in Sims 3 though.
