Feeding Tubes, Cholangiocarcinoma, gaining weight and final decisions from TGH on a liver transplant

Well, last week the transplant team told me I was too skinny. My BMI was 17.9, they’d like it closer to 22-23. I asked for a chance to get there myself, so they sent me home, but after more discussion at their board meeting they decided that I need to do this faster than I can without help. Today I’ll be getting a feeding tube inserted thru my nose to my stomach to help the process.
What this all means big picture is that... I’M APPROVED FOR MY LIVER TRANSPLANT!!! It won’t be tomorrow, but it will most likely be quick. My MELD is already 24.
I cannot tell you what this means to me and my family. I appreciate all the prayers and support out there and can’t tell you how much they have been a comfort to us.
