  • In this video I have put a comparison together on the standard Harley-Davidson Street 500 shocks, and replaced them with smaller shocks. I have made an install video which has been put up, that video explains the process of changing the shocks and modifying the motorbike and how it looks after it has been done.
This doesn't have to be done on the street 500, it can be done on any style of Harley Davidson or any type of cruiser motorbike.
Please share this video to anyone who might be wondering what difference lowered shocks makes and how it drastically changes the look, and let me know in the comments on what you think

The exhaust would scrub sometimes when leaning hard into a corner and the back wheel would scrub on the rear fender if I rode over a big enough bump but nothing to major.

If you have shorter legs it makes it easier to put your feet down when you stop. Apart from that not much else

did you rear end your fender with a pillion on a bump , plus what size are those????????

I never had a pillion on it while riding, I had a friend sit on it while it was parked to see how much room there was but there wasn’t much clearance from the rear tyre to fender. They are 10.5 inch shocks

@@thewhiskythrottleclub india has bumpy roads 12 inch should be fine, but that look cant be achieved with 12 inchers and it also reduces the possibility of wider rear tire upgrade

      Cheers bro
Did it have a negative effect on cornering at all? Was looking at getting some put on mine, but just wandering if it would altar the ride in a negative way.

No didn’t find it had a huge impact, the fact that it would scrape easier meant I wouldn’t hit the corners as hard and fast
