    Awesome finish Eric! Now make sure to set some time aside in your journeys to come out west here on the Central Coast of California :) I'll take you on some adventures, off trail adventures where nobody else goes, and I mean nobody. (except me and my buddy)

    Great job on using your skillset to get this done. I just wanted to throw out a part eleven idea if you want to keep the project moving forward. Flames on the exterior front and sides of the van. Just kidding since it would take away from the stealth build. I'll look forward to your next set of adventures.

      Haha I like it. Stealth flames, I'll be practically invisible! Thanks for watching Paul

    Hi there! I have really enjoyed watching your DIY Stealth Camper Van Build Series! You have some good ideas and information you have shared with your viewers. I am wonder exactly how my much weight was added to this van with the interior built-ins, the items on the roof, and other things? Can you tell a difference in how the van drives now you have completed the build? Does the 4.3L engine seems powerful enough for the van now? I apologize for all if these questions, just curious.
    I have often thought i woukd like to have an Astro van myself. For my personal use would like to have it versatile as possible, meaning primarily having it for cargo use, along with provision for rear passenger seats when needed, and a modular type camper setup which can be readily installed, and removed for short term road trips.
    Thank your sharing your build. I really appreciate it.

    nice build for sure . Was hoping you did some way for a kayak. Had a astro many years ago and was a reliable van with the 4.3 engine. Best 6 cylinder in my opinion. Definitly you have giving me some ideas. Might just use my kayak trailer and add some storage space on that to.

      Thanks! I did figure out a way to carry the kayak on top, i took it on a 2 week trip to the Keweenaw peninsula in Michigan's UP last fall. I took some rope and tied loops , about 6" diameter, to the roof rack. I set the kayak on top of the roof rack and use ratchet straps to strap it down with the loops. The hooks on the ratchet straps were just a little too small to fit around the roof rack itself, which made the loops necessary. The most major downside is that I can't turn on my Max fan With the kayak mounted above it.

    Nice van build! Just got back today seen your video thought I'd watch. And was wondering if you put a diesel heater in it. We were out Fri an Sat in 0 degree temps at night and it made my little camper as warm an comfortable as being at home.

    • @SeekingLost
      @SeekingLost  Před rokem +1

      I generally operate in environments that don't get below freezing at night, so I didn't install a heater. Coldest I've been in the van so far is maybe low 20s. There's definitely been a few nights I wish I had some extra warmth, but with some extra layers of clothing and turning on the van to run the heat for 10 minutes in the morning or before bed, I've been ok without. Enjoy that heat for me!

    Hey there good video. I've got a 2001 Astro I've been living in full time for about 15 years. I'm looking for a new 12 volt monitor/TV for my rig. I do quite a bit of astrophotography editing while on the road and I'm curious about this monitor. It's the size I'm looking for and I like the plug ins for peripherals. What I'm curious about is on Amazon it lists the Gigabyte G27F as 110 volt, I'm assuming it comes with an adapter that you can use if you want to plug it into 110volt and another cord that is just for 12volt. Is that correct? TIA and keep up the great vids.

      Dang, 15 years in the astro, well done! this model comes with both 110v AC cord, as well as a 12v DC cord
