Thanks for the review. Just ordered a pair. 🙏
Many thanks! It is definitely an astounding video!
Hey bro.....Awesome video and helpful details man....but could you do a review on Audio technica ATH WS990BT. This would be very helpful man...!!!
Cool nostalgic review. I'll review this review in a five-year retrospective in four years.
Love my 50s. Can’t wait to grab these!
Damm on point, same feelings. Audio technica m50x when came to my life few years ago, my ears introduced to first love then i have tried lots of wired and wireless earphones/headphones and always thoght, wish they could be wireless as they are and dream come true when i first saw m50x bt and after purchasing them i can easily say the legendary sound signature of m50x carry forward to m50x bt and the best part of these bad boys is that you dont need any eq with any phone bexuase everything sound so alive on default eq and i have also purchased sony h.ear on 2 wireless and boy sony are damm clean but again the sound signature of m50x bt with richness of sound is truly unmatchable.
You just gave me the final push that was needed for me to buy M50XBT! Thanks ❤️
Hope you enjoy them!!
I already ordered these after months of research, then I saw your video and was like "heck yea, can't wait to get these"
how are they treating you?
Hi. Great video. I have the matte gray
M50x and they are great. But with headphone jacks being removed from phones, It's just a matter of time before I'm forced to go wireless. I just want to explore all options. I am definitely looking for Bluetooth headphones that sound great both wired and wireless. Are there other comparable blue tooth headphones that have just as good sound quality whether they are being used wired or wirelessly?
How do they conpare to the ATH-DSR7BT?
Hey I wanted to ask between these and pxc550ii which has better sound equality and which would you want for the same price
Hello, great video, you made me interested: i'm looking for a new pair of bt headphones but i don't have any experience with the ATH-M50x, so I don't know what you mean with 'the bt version just sound as good as the original ones'. Do these sound good for all kinds of rock and indie music in a balanced way? Or do they produce every single detail (which i personally don't need)? Tnx in advance
Nice review
Just bought these cuz of you lol. Been using the M50X for the passed 4 years and they're still my favorite headphones so I see no reason not to get these !
That's how I felt. Hope you enjoy them!
How do they compare to the original wired M50X when used wired? Been using the Sony MDR 7506s forever so thinking about an upgrade with a little more coloring but don't want BT unless it sounds really close to wired version without BT. My phone has audiophile DAC for wired connection only that's much better than the standard DAC so really no use for Bluetooth till I got a 4K Sony Blueray player but being wired is no issue really so wondering if one review saying the BT version is different is accurate.
I used the m50s for years as mentioned and honestly, I find with the AptX codec they sound really great. I can't tell you specifically if they don't slightly better or about the same but what I can say is everything I loved on the M50s I loved on these. And if you want to use Bluetooth someone's or plug them in others, you still have that option.
@@CSPTech Thanks... if no loss wired going with the BT version for keyboards and music seems to be the way to go for less performance demanding use like watching the news... except I have Sony's LDAC codex to use with the Sony 4K Blu-ray player that supports the better audio formats for a high-end digital source for a few favorites so am going to try out the Sony wireless and a few other ones to see if worth the extra expense.
@Nehemiah Jaxon Interesting... Google lets me list links, But I still need 3 computers to feed the hackers junk while keeping the good stuff where it belongs.
Hey can I plug the ATH-M50XBT to a amp for playing guitar? Should I buy separate cable?
Nice video!
How does the ATH-M50xBT sound compared to the ATH-SR50BT?.. Which is more comfortable?.. If noise canceling isn't a priority would u pick this over the 1000xm3 from Sony?
Can you PLEASE make a microphone sound test for the M50xBT ?? I have the M50x "wired" version and I'm planning to buy the BT version mainly as a gaming headphone but I'm unsure about the sound quality of the microphone. P.s i subscribed and thank you for the amazing video!
Does it have the mic or not just like m50x
Thank you sir
I am using sr50bt and I'm really enjoying ❤️
I'm going to buy these. Amazon has an installment plan for them and I can't pass this up! I loved the m40x for how bright they sounded, but I want something more fun and loud to listen to now. The Sony's are great especially for their extreme class of NC but they lack some warmth.
Hey, what installment plan on Amazon are you referring to??
Hey there, great video! I was about to get these headphones the other day and then I found the Sony 1000xm3 on sale for about 193 euros vs 163 that the M50xBT cost where I am from. I really love the design of the m50 and I listen to a lot of rock and punk, as well as some slower and more acoustic music, so I am not really sure which ones I should buy. From what I've read the sony's are better and there isn't that much difference in price. Which ones do you think are a better deal, and thanks again for all the effort you put into this review, it looks great!!
I would say get the Sony's because for the same price you get amazing noise cancellation!
@@CSPTech Thanks man! Really appreciate hearing your opinion since I haven't had the chance to try either one of them. Keep up the good work!!
I love this headphones.. I just want to know if the Audio-Technica Ath-m50xbt sound signature using the cable is the same that the sound of the olders m50x?
It's been a long time since I used the other ones but yes, it's pretty darn close, if not the same. The main difference is the quality of the signal you're putting through it.
You couldn't have said it better, "it felt like coming home". I seriously filled up and gasped when I used them for the first time after a lifetime of cheap headsets. Pearl Jam never sounded better. Love your video, dude!
Is there anything better out there? I have the OG M50s as well ;) but the padding is breaking down. How different do these sound compared to the OG M50s? Thanks for the video!
Honestly they're even better. It's crazy. The new Bluetooth AptX codec allows for really high quality. I find it better wireless than just out of a headphone jack
I am getting around 20 hours of battery life with aptx and about 75% volume. Is it ok? Overall I get a week's worth of use. Love the way they sound by the way 😍.
I think that's reasonable yeah! You're probably using them more than me!
Awesome video, thanks!
Rohit Venu thanks!!
Bro what is your opinion of the EDIFIER W860NB please? Thanks
Rohit Venu never tried them (or heard of these ones specifically) but they look like cheaper Bose headphone. They look alright but sound quality is obviously unknown to me at this point.
I would read other reviews and make your decision based on that.
Hope this helps!
Just ordered
im seeing higher-end Audio Technica models on sale for cheaper than the ATH-M50xBTs but i cant make myself believe they sound better than because the original M50s are so highly praised. im buying these tomorrow screw it! lol
Random question but what kind of cup was that at the end of the vid? Nice Review by the way.
It's a Kinto coffee tumbler. The small size. Great tumbler!
@@CSPTech thanks
I whish these headsets came with the same cables as the mx50 if so i would buy these to use as my daily and Dj headphones
Between this and Plantronics backbeat pro2 which one is better? Which one should I buy?
Which one did you get? I'm in same dilemma.
With M50xBt I won't have multipoint connection while with backbeats they're quite bulky to travel with and don't fold up but they have amazing sound
I got the wired pair from goodwill for $30. Awesome headphones. Awesome.
That's amazing!! Best deal I've seen yet haha. You're probably pretty happy with those!
Are these okay for gaming? Want to use these for gaming and also to listen to music when im on campus
They are literally the best quality headphones you can buy before starting to get to diminishing returns. I used these for years for everything. You will not be disappointed!
Nice video! Do you know if the vmoda boom mic will fit these
Did you find the answer to this question? In the same spot atm, considering whether or not to buy these
Doesn’t Audio Technica use its stupid proprietary twist-lock cable? I don’t think it can for that reason.
Review the Audio Technica DSR9 BT
I've been spoiled by the flat and amazingly natural sounding lypertek tevi earbuds that when I got audio technica ath m50xbt headphones I was grossed out by the boosted treble and rumbling bass with almost nonexistent mids and zero soundstage....and nobody in the history of sound has EVER complained about this in audio technicas! I may be the first. These headphones still have excellent build and features which I may or may not excuse the lack of sound quality for
yeah, i do see some reviews about their not exactly flat. but eq software could correct that
Hi, great video 👍🏻
Do these support Bluetooth multipoint? I want to be able to seamlessly switch between using my phones and laptop and am seriously considering buying these but holding off on it
They don't! Only headphones around its price that do that and also sound amazing are Plantronics Backbeat pro 2, they work flawlessly with laptop and mobile
I'm on the brink of buying these, but a pretty big concern for me is the comfort. I've read that they can cause heating and fatigue after 2 to 3 hours of use. I've also read that Bose QC35II are still the most comfortable over ear headphones out there, so I'm debating between the two. Can say something about how they've felt after a couple hours of use? Thanks in advance!
which did u end up buying?
HOW DOES THE MIC SOUND.
How is your experience while wearing them with your glasses on? any pressure? manageable?
I'll be honest, glasses do get uncomfortable after a while but its the glasses + mask that really hurts. I've been using earbuds mostly since the pandemic lol. Still love these though when I'm around the house!
Do they pair with pc, laptop ?
Yes! Anything Bluetooth!
Um, a low pass filter removes highs, a HIGH pass filter removes the low end, letting the high pass thrujust fyi.
Love my ATH-M50’s, btw. Fineas Eillish uses ‘em, too.
do they sound exactly like the originals?
YES, i have used the ATH M50X BT for VIDEO EDITING and listening to MUSIC and they are incredible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU CAN TRUST ON THIS HEADPHONE AND ITS WORTH THE MONEY YOU PAY
Hey dude, which one is the best this or the ath-sr50bt?
This
The sr50bt
@@jakebateman3088 no. The m50x is over hyped trash. No Soundstage, lows bleed into the mids, and the bass is loose
People that praise the m50x dont listen to flac files
@@LuciferArc1 and people who bash m50x lovers think everyone has the same sound preference
I always know what to think of a reviewer when it comes to audio if he loves the m50's for listening to music. I believe they are amazing for studio monitoring, but I've tried them for just listening to music and they are simply disgusting. I love the m40's and would love to see a BT version. I just bought the Sony WH-CH700N.
I’m going to buy them if they suck I’ll let you know I have the ath-20x right now if something sounds better than these, I’m all in nice review.
Thanks! I still love these, hopefully you should too
Do you think it's good for the gym
They're not.
Low pass filters remove the high frequencies, not the low frequencies ;)
😃😃😃
Give him a pass he not a Dj haha
I use the m20x and those have 3 meter worth of cable that is heavy. Lol
Wish I had a m50xbt
They do actually ruin every other pair of headphones, any alternative with anc? Please 🥲
so you say this is good for night lovell type trap music bro, right? (ı cant understand all of your speak because my english, anybody answer)
Night Lovell is awesome. He's from my city lol. And yes these are really great for all kinds of music :)
@@CSPTech vuhuu thanks bro. shot out to canada
@@CSPTech i always hear this for send respect. its good word, right😀
1:28 a Lowpass Filter that removes the bass?
XD hmmmm something not right here
I just got these and can instantly tell that the bluetooth sound is absolutely not as good as the hardwired sound, the bluetooth sound is REALLY boosted in the high-mids and crackly. Also, the volume controller on them is an independent volume leveling from your device, which is not great... even my cheap $60 Covin bluetooth headphones have a volume control that actually will simply control the volume level in WINDOWS -- not an additional volume that I have to attempt to keep in balance with Windows' volume.
I thought they only came out in 2018? How can you be a 5 year user?.
The original ATHM50s came out in 2007
The battery is really ridiculous.
all the people buying M50x's in these comments, yikes.
They are too loud at the lowest sound level. Annoying in quiet environment, especially at night.
The m40x is way better bruv. The m50x sound muddy compared to them
This fool using editing headphones and complaining
At 350$ there are better headphone
The sr50bt is better and so are the vmoda crossfade wireless 2
