- We use these trucks in a hot shot trucking company. They get used exclusively for pulling gooseneck trailers 36-40ft. Avg gross weight hauled by these pickups is 25k lbs.

I couldn't complain about an auto trans failing at 500k pulling its whole life.

Good service life out of that trans. Especially compared to older Chrysler transmissions

Do you think it’s worth deleting a 17 3500 with Aisin trans 3.42? I keep seeing negative and positive comments about it and that there isn’t good tuning for the Aisin. What would you recommend?
You can't get tune an aisin, don't really need to. It's the ENGINES life you are saving with delete.
Don't drive it like a race car and you'll be fine
Do you use a thermal bypass for your transmissions and do you change trans filters and do you recommend any upgrades to transmissions such as shift kits etc? Thanks
I service them every 50k mile intervals. Change filter and fluid. No flash. No shift kits. No thermal bypass. Only regular service and fix what’s broken.

They need to put the aisin in the detuned 2500s it would last forever the high output needs atleast 8gears

buying used is cheaper probably. Just rebuilt an 07.5 68rfe cost about 4500
I wonder how hard it would be to throw a aisin in a 2500?
I would be interested if it can or has been done before. I would rather do that than buy a rebuilt or aftermarket trans to replace the 68rfe.
mon AS69RC a fait tilt game over a 950.000 km, je vais la reconstruire avec des pièces😁 performante K1,K2 rabeystos disc etc... et y mettre un convertisseur 6 disc...et ensuite on verra si mon travail est bien fait. le dealer veux 17000$ CAD ( avec les même problèmes) plus un core de 4000$🤔🤬, total 21000$ CAD +TX prennent vraiment les gens pour des cons.
Donc je me retrousse les manches, boit une bières ou 2, je démonte, et remonte mais la je vais boire de l'eau 🤣...je veux pas passer la première vitesse avant et reculer.
bref , j'ai déjà mal au cerveau rien que d'y pensé.

22’s and up got a bad batch of Aisins with a snap ring issue
