Watching the Icelandic characters so overjoyed to see their country’s moment in the sun was heartwarming.
i love how this is actually an amazing song
It’s alright
Like for real for real 😂
True. A song like this would win Eurovision every year.
It's a good one
Ты каво праслал, овецц!
the fact that they use Icelandic in the song is a testament to how much Eurovision has changed. It was shocking because most performances now don't use their native language.
I’m a 57 year old man who I thinks I’m tough, but this song had me balling like a little girl!!! Just wow!!!
40 yr old balling with ya brother
Maybe im too young to understand the reason but for some reason i didn't cry. :C
Totally acceptable if you are one of ours. If you're not why are you crying?
I'm 31 years old, I've lived in a small town in Minnesota with about 100 people my whole life. First time I watched this I cried, then I watched it a second time cuz it was so good and I cried again. What's the word? Cathartic or something?
45 and right there with ya, man
This song, dare I Say it, is as big a hit as Never Enough.
I have watched that Netflix Eurovison film almost 14 times and I still don't get enough of it. That video is amazing and shows what Eurovision is ....in a funny way .......without bullying the "original contest".
Well, this is what happens when you let a long-time Eurovision super fan (Will Ferrell had been a fan of Eurovision since his Swedish wife Viveca Paulin introduced him to the Contest in 1999, the same year that Sweden win the contest) make a movie about Eurovision itself (fun fact: Will attended Eurovision 2018 in preparation for this film).
Thank god, you make me feel normal. I like getting drunk or stoned with friends watching this 😂😂😂😂. And I'm 30
The reality is, this song is a beautiful and heartfelt showstopper and Grammy/Oscar-worthy musical masterpiece, which was tragically overlooked because it was from a Will Ferrell comedy on Netflix and not from some Lady Gaga and Brad Cooper dramatic flick.
what do you mean... it got nominated for oscars, it just didn't win. the winner was "Fight For You" From 'Judas And The Black Messiah', nothing to do with lady gaga and bradley cooper. and the winner for the grammy's that year was a song for a musical comedy made by Netflix
@@NomadWalker-io3ne This was a much better song than Fight For You. Only reason that Judas won was that Judas was a best picture nominee and voters probably actually watched that movie or heard of the song and ignored the will ferrell movie.
Its obvious the oscars doesn't want this song to win. The little town of Husavik, Iceland got robbed
The Oscars have been a joke for some time. People (like Gaga) taking prizes for political reasons, everything being about wokery and virtue signalling... Bleeeeeh.
Thank you for leaving the last part!! "I'm checking you out...." so cute after a splendid song... ❤❤❤
I agree, it's super sappy but i don't care, I need to see the I'm checking you part too, not just the singing.
Why does this song pull at my heart strings? I love this song
This is basically a perfect moment.
3:53
Graham Norton: Quite beautiful really.
They will of course be disqualified for changing their song, but it's quite beautiful.
Reminded me of the Talladega Nights scene. "it was of course illegal and wont count..." Lol
After watching the movie, I must have listened to this song 100 times over and over.
Molly Sanden: What a voice!
I love that her mole has its own shadow
It;s sad that they made Rachel McAdams glue a wart to her face for the role.
@@stacyj7 did you also know they made her act as a different person and put on clothes that doesn't reflect her real life personality :O
I love how both songs by Fire Saga would probably win Eurovision most years lol!❤
If Iceland had competed with this song one day... The ESC would have been in Reykjavik the following year...
It's actually Swedish singer Molly Sandén that is singing
i am almoust 40 been to prison and shity stuff, and still broke down listening
This song actually makes me feel proud to Icelandic!
I’m American, and crying
Por alguna extraña razón lloré con esta canción y me hizo transportarme a un país que ni siquiera conozco ! Es la magia de una hermosa letra llevada a una canción !
Amé esta película tan solo con este gran final !
This scene will make me cry like the most heart wrenching drama movies
Why does this song make me cry instantly
I haven't seen this great of a performance since SpongeBob sang at the Bubble Bowl.
The first time she sang the lyric “in my hometown” really got me.
In the whole movie I thought they would sing Ya Ya Ding Dong on the final
I have goosebumps 😍
Rachel McAdams ❤️ woooooow
Not her voice ;)
Beautiful song 😍
Beautiful. The songs nice also.
Amazing voice
It have been 2 years when I saw it on Netflix 🙂
❤ Rachel McAdams ❤
Still miss my homeland Iceland (Im from Japan)
This moment almost made me shed a tear. ❤
This song is so so beautiful
Tbh, IF this had been a real Eurovisonsong it would prolly won it all :) atleast in my book :)
2023 Eurovision night
LETS GOOOOOOO
Zo knap ik kan het niet geloven😮❤
Great song
amazing song
You had me at, heimabærinn minn.
💗
Chills
Rachel McAdams 🥰woooo
It is not her singing.
Jävligt bra låt
I didn´t know she can sing like that ! Incredible voice !
She can't. lol
Check out Molly Sanden who did the vocals
Not her sadly.
she cant, it was dubbed
@@christopherp1318 playback the real singer is Molly My Marianne Sandén
JA JA DING DONG!
Good
Is it just me or does this sound very similar to never enough from the greatest showman?😂
I said the same thing to my wife a couple of weeks ago! Both voices are amazing!
Molly 🇸🇪
I've probably seen more movies on this channel then in real life
And at the same time, not a single Disney-related movie on this channel
❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
2:00 - Northern Barney
Passed Main Streets white-washed windows, and vacant stores; seems like no one wants to come around here no more...My Home Town. Bruce Springsteen.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It's really really weird they made the parents lovers then they had a child together....
The only thing this song needed was more cowbell.
They should’ve won with this performance
But i thought Fandango never does a 1-10 list from Netflix films
Can’t believe that’s them really singing
McAdams is lip syncing. Real voice is Molly Sanden.
Люблю этот фильм. Сто раз пересматривал. Спасибо Молли Санден!
When i download subtitle for the foreign language part in the movie
the subtitle 1:49
What is the name of song in the end?
Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós
Husavik
This movie is absolutely bizarre it’s like a satire comedy right?? Right???
1:59 is that neil patrick harris or not?
Yea
No, it's Joi Johannsson. An Icelandic actor.
Just goes to show Molly Sandén would have been a super star her whole life if she only had good lyrics.
Such a silly movie - with two miscast stars - yet somehow you do not care - because this is such a stunningly beautiful song.
You aré so full of anger I hope you get your balls removed
Why is this not a song for Iceland???
I haven't seen this movie. Why did she think they'd be disqualified?
They were originally gonna sing a different song, but they changed it, which was a violation of the competition rules
@@ryomasuzuki9854 Oh, okay! Ty! 😊
They couldn't win.... without giving too much away, it was a big part of the film plot.
Rachel mcadams has such an amazing voice wow
It's not her voice. Swedish singer Molly sings it. Look it up
It’s a dubbed from a real singer 😑
it's Molly Sandén, a Swedish singer.
And it is.....unfortunately😮
Polish know it
Pregnat
can u hear the autotune!!
You know this isn’t her real voice?
You can search for the real singer who sang this song live. In movie ofcz it will come with abit of editing but autotune? I don't think so
@@N8tiveKEYS21 yes i do thats why i said it sounds like autotune n i should've also added or she's lip singing!!
@@HyangWon it just sounded way too good n when she spoke there was no way it matches her voice but thats the movies!!
@@djcrazy8578 might not be autotuned but probably pitch corrected and a bit of reverb added as well. Either way it’s a pretty dope song lol
❤
