Car Vehicle Type Guide | Choosing the Right Car!

  • There are all kinds of cars, and they come in all types of shapes and sizes. This really should go without saying, but we all have different preferences so nothing is completely purposeless or useless. I say this because I got this video idea because I overheard some of my RA coworkers say stuff like, “No one needs a van” or “No one needs a truck”. Sure you may not need a truck or a van, but there are plenty of reasons other people may.
Also, shout-out to 802 Garage for being an RA who is competent with cars. Make sure to check his channel out if you like car projects because I believe he is currently working with 3 cars right now. CHECK HIS CHANNEL OUT!! LINK HERE:
    / @802garage
The three main criteria I’ll be ranking cars based on; being, Performance, Utility, and Comfort. I am well aware that there are extreme minivans with 600HP, but I will be referring to generic run of the mill models in this video. This generalization is done with the intent of keeping this guide simple for beginners.

I tell people to ask themselves do you need to haul tow or just casually drive. If hauling is the question I then ask will you be pulling trailers camper or utility trailers if the answers yes I tell them to buy a truck if the answers no for trailers I tell them to buy a SUV. If they tell me I need something to get to work and do casually cargo hauling. I tell them to buy a car. No need to drive a truck or SUV that sucks the gas if you are just going to the grocery store.

In regards to vans having weak engines: this was true of many older minivans, which had inline fours and weak V6es and were quite often horrifyingly slow; the first-generation Mazda MPV is a perfect example here. More recent minivans, i.e. from the last 10 years or so, often have much more powerful engines and can surprise unaware opponents in a straight line.

I don't think they're forcing themselves to drive a 2 door car, they simply chose that car because of they're personal preference. I recently got a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT and I absolutely adore her. I love her towing capacity, off-roading capabilities, and large carrying capacity for all my friends or all my items since I tend to be gone for days or weeks at a time and take a LOT of stuff with me, and I still have room for way more. I just helped my best friend move his entire room in one trip last weekend, which was nice because it’s a 30 mile trip one way. And I did doordash for a while and some people order an insane amount of groceries. Especially with multiple big orders, her spacious interior was perfect to hold everything and still have enough separation to not get orders mixed together. Plus she has a V6 under her hood and possibly enough room to squeeze in a V8. I already have a few mod ideas for her but I think I’m going to keep it mostly cosmetic as she’s my daily driver and hopefully will be for many more years. The one thing that’s kinda a bummer is she tops out at 110, 115 in manual dropping a gear, and I love speed. But I’d rather get a smaller project car to fuel my speed desires. Her name might be Scarlet but she’s no speedster😅

@@TheChaos5111 for insurance costs it depends on the make, model, year and whole bunch of things about the vehicle that determines the payments, u can get a older truck or car with a v8 with auto transmission and it wouldnt be that expensive and y r u acting like a v8 is simular to driving a f1? Thats what ur making it seem like and ive been driving v8's all my life ever since i was young, ofc with parental supervision and once i got older i got to sit in the seat by myself and drive which was years ago and last year i got to drive out onto a highway, driving a v8 isnt hard and u probably never drove one

@@TheChaos5111 to me i dont think its worth getting a v6 muscle car, well if it has a v6 i wouldnt even consider it a muscle car, u could get a better deal on some other type of v6 than a v6 mustang, camaro, challenger or charger

My family has a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan, and it's doing us pretty well, though it does have a couple of broken doors including the hatch lol. My dream car is a hatchback primarily because they tend to have good gas mileage, and also I just like the look of them. My top picks for hatchback is either a Toyota Yaris or a Honda Fit (the Yaris does just barely go above the Fit for me though lol)

    My opinions:
    1- buy a land cruiser
2-Honda CR-V,Toyota RAV4 and the others are *CROSSOVERS* not *SUVs.*
They have AWD,can’t go off-roading well, are smaller than actual SUVs..
3-What about the GSF sedan? S class? 7 series?

GSF, S class and 7 series are expensive sedans. Most sedans are A4, Camrys, 3 series and stuff like that.

Jeep Wrangler is an SUV, it's also based off of the original SUV, the Jeep CJ, and I would rather a Jeep over any import. Also note, I like the old AMC Jeeps, as Mopar is an import now.

2 months before you posted this video I was on my way to Germany for a Mazda RX-7 turbo II S5. Driven that for over half a year now. Nothing broken yet. I was gonna import and sell for more here, but changed my mind as I drove it here. On top of that somebody managed to early turn and scrape up at the front left of the car which bumps the value down so don't see much point in selling now. Got back 1/5 of what I paid for the car from the offender's insurance.
