I don't want khan leaving Swindon as I'm a Swindon fan and he's amazing. But Swindon can't keep selling players then ending the season midtable because we let all our players go and when Jake young and Dan Kemp leave we (Swindon) are doomed so we can't let khan go but if we do then we are DOOMED

I don’t think we could afford Okonkwo honestly. He would cost millions not hundreds of thousands. Then his wages would probably be on par with Mullin probably.

I agree with your analysis Liam - he is obviously a useful player at lower/Lg2 level, but personally, for that money, I'd wait for someone with better pedigree. Happy to be wrong though.
Good, balanced view on Khan. You’ve made it obvious that he’s a big fish in a small pond. If we’re aiming for players of a Championship caliber who can climb the leagues, he’s a stop-gap asset for this season but is too old, too limited, and too expensive to meet our medium to long-range goals. In short, sign him if no one better becomes available in January.
I don’t think Kahn has what we need in a midfielder right now. I’d say take the £350k and put it towards keeping Okonkwo who has proven to be a solid GK that I can see playing with us in league 1 and potentially in the championship as well.
Any player we pickup could be someone that can get us into league 1. He will also be out most of January for Gambia. Assume the contract would be multiple years, so if we get into league 1 will he excel there. I think midfield is already strong. Saidou doesn’t check any boxes of what we should be looking for. Save the money and go for someone better. If we do want another midfielder we should get a player like Owen Moxon, but I think defense really should be our focus area.
We should be looking at alternative midfielders if Phil is keen on bringing one in. Could be a video idea for you
As a Swindon fan Saidou is amazing for us and I don't want him leaving but I think I can see him in a Wrexham shirt. If you do sign him then I'm sure Wrexham will get promotion
I don't see it happening. Two of R&R's key promises was to get out of the National League and to make Wrexham AFC sustainable. Taking the club to League 1 in 2 years was not a promise. From Welcome to Wrexham, we already know that the current salary bill and costs (Cop stand) outceeds the income. The club may need to control its spending and if that includes a year in League 2, it may be better for the long-term health of the club.
No one knows anything except Parky and Steve know about who they are targeting. I don’t see Swindon doing us any favors. We need another left and right winger. Also need a younger, solid center back. Last need is Ollies eventual replacement. Dalby just doesn’t have it yet. Also, we will be targeting championship level players in expectation for L1. I don’t expect us to chase L2 talent. Wrexham will make a few big signings, but they’ll be from up the leagues, possibly somone on the outskirts of the PL or another top 5 league. Bottom line is fitting in to our culture. That’s everything.

It’s the type of player we need…especially being a good passer of the ball, where sometimes we can lack…..as for the price….yeah get him…I wouldn’t pay that much money for him …….but there again…. I’m not Ryan Reynolds……
I don't know that another midfielder is what we need. Maybe if you're dead set keeping ToC at CB and want a backup for Evans but that's not worth 350k imo. I honestly thought Rhys Walters from Port Vale was worth a healthy look. He was all over the field when we played them. Way cheaper too id wager.
He’s not worth 350k, we could pay that for a league 1 /championship player for that money. I would look at who else is out there before buying a competitors player. Also realistically why would Swindon Town sell him to Wrexham, the risk to Swindon is too high, they are fighting for a playoff position, they need their best squad for that to happen. I think this is a non-starter from the beginning. If anything Swindon would be using Wrexham as a way of getting better money from a different club👍🇬🇧

I think the price tag is so high because they know he’s high on parkys list, I’m sure we can negotiate down. Lastly, we’re moving up and moving up fast, breaking transfer records are gonna be normal these next few years I believe
Khan play as a midfieldeer, but he is a defender, he plays defender for his country.
that being said, he is not worth that amount, no way, he should be top at 100k, maybe 150k. if we going to pay over market values, we should do it for championship level players, not 27yo that is in the same div as us.
Also, looking at the future, we should look to signed under 23 players and build them up.
