Good to see that your Rover 75 has got a new MOT and repairs to the sides are done, but there is two places to keep clean so the water can run out. Left and right of the two front wheels behind the mudflaps are two like traingle plastic covers. These have to be taken off and the hole inside what you can see with torch pulled out of the canal. It has be a long metal length with one end bend so you can pull the mud rust and what ever is in the canal Out and spray out with oil. Its best to do this job next Summer
Hi Simone...u are right about those plastic pads that plug into jacking points on Rover 75....silly price they are...£15 each....luckily my 75 has a full set of 4...but they do block the holes up so water could build up in the sills...best perhaps just to keep one in the boot and blank the holes up with duct tape....least no one can steal them that way....keep the videos rolling....Bob....Paignton....
Good update. The satin black sill and the chrome strip was used on the Rover P5b and the 75 design had a nod to the P5b Coupe. The idea was to make the car look less slab-sided when viewed from the side. It worked.
Well done on the MOT, hope you get good use from the car next year. Just replaced the weak bonnet struts on my 75, I also had a Power Steering hose fail on mine with a weeping leak from a flexi section on the return pipe from the front cooler loop to the rack… not available new for the 1.8 but luckily because it was a low pressure line the garage could cut the crimp connectors and just replace that bad section with new hose and jubilee clips.
The car repairs look brilliant, really nice job. I do like the black sills on Wedgwood blue, especially with the early mk1 15 inch crown Connie Se alloys instead of Comets like most 02 onwards have. Looks almost like a launch car.
Connie looks fantastic, Simone 🤩 I love the Black seals it really suits her. 🙌 Great job done by the paint shop 😊 and brillant news about a MOT PASS ✅️ Brillant video, as always, Simone 🤗 you are a great presenter. 👍 I have some Bilt-Hamber UB left over from doing MJ you can use to protect the underside.
Hmmmm being "on the landing" is not as exciting as "in the hallway" now is it 😆 . Can't believe it's been a year already since the last mot. Congrats on the pass. Hopefully the rust underneath isn't too bad. Will look forward to some videos about that. The black sills look great. All the best. X
Well done Simone...she passed the test...have u got the plastic inserts ok that fit into the holes in the sills...at the jacking points i mean...the jack fits into them nicely so as to spread the load...so often they are missing....however they can make the sills retain salt water and cause rust....The sills look really cool in black....With the headlights u can polish them with Toothpaste and WD40....Bob Paignton....
Here in Germany we have two years before the next mot, the new Problem ive have is the Airbag Sensor which usaully is dampness so i'll be getting it solding together
Am curious about the sills Simone up there isn't many Garages that will take on welding jobs are they Galvanised sills to as i know they where a week point on the 75 glad you have another year's running 😊
Well done Simone, another year of motoring and a few more repairs completed.

Thanks Col. I still need to get the other bodywork sorted at some point. And the headlights n fuel tank strap.
Of course Connie passed & she is a credit to you, for keeping on top of maintenance. Very tidy sills, hopefully now with drain holes

Thanks Joe that's very kind of you. I will have to bring her over sometime and get the underside all cleaned up
@CortinasAndClassics Definitely Simone, I'd love to finally meet you 😀 and of course, I'd be happy to jet wash the underneath of Connie 🤗

hi Bob, sadly I only have one of the jacking pads, they aren't cheap.
Looking nice now, but please address that rust starting on the bottom of the rear passenger, passenger side door soon.
I have hoping to address that as soon as I can 👍🏻
Merry Christmas Simone.....Not too much Wine...Diesel and Brake Fluid...!!!..

Not a bad result then 👍 Loving the wind deflectors too.

Great that it passed its MOT! Somehow knew it would! All thanks to your hard work!

Is the Rover your daily Simone? Car looks great. Mac.
Hi Mac, it certainly is. I have done quite a few videos on the car now.
