Inspiring! I have always been afraid of “non running” boats, motors Etc, last week I got a killer deal on a boat with a garage kept low hour 50hp Yamaha. I cleaned the he fuel tank and filters new fuel lines and she started right up! All because I have been watching your videos!

I have a similar Yamaha 25hp and they are GREAT motors! What a deal!! I really enjoyed watching you work through the issues one at a time. I would have loved to see you do the rest of the maintenance on it as well like the oil change and what ever else you might have done as part of the tune up process. I want to learn myself as I feel like my local marina is not the most honest place. Keep up the awesome content and easy to follow editing style!

@TT I know it was $150 cause i can read minds using youtube. Also cause he posted the ad and said so. Runs good cause its a clean start warmed and cold start in the water. It pushes the boat though incoming waves on a flat bottom boat. Compression is good and even ware and tear one cylinders. So if everything is in spec it should run to spec. Only other way to know more is to ask him to buy it...

An ultrasonic cleaning might save it, but that 4stroke carb is still a lot more complicated and finicky than a typical 2stroke carb. Better to replace it with new or a good used one.

Love the channel, what should I expect to get for a 2002 40hp Nissan? I’m looking at buying one, are they any good? @ThatBoatGuy or anyone who knows anything about these.

What a great job well done. So quick sorting out the problems with this outboard motor. Did you do it all in 1 or 2 days. really enjoyed watching from England.

I just bought a 2000 Johnson 40hp VRO outboard, console, controls and cables for $500. It was on a boat and being used when the guy decided he wanted a center console rig. He took it all off and delivered it to me. I had to sync the carbs, install new water pump and rebuilt the tilt. Someone had previously cross threaded the manual hydro release screw. It’s a beauty now. I think I have a lil over $560 in the whole thing and he threw in a new 6 gallon fuel cell, and interstate deep cycle battery that puts my new Walmart battery to shame and an older Evinrude Scout deck mount trolling motor. Yea, I thought I got a deal until I saw your video.

Nice job Young Brother you seem to know what you're doing with those boat motors that's for sure you're probably lucky that someone did not try to really full with that motor more than they probably did and who knows they could have broke the Rings scored up everything but with that kind of compression that didn't happen nice job really nice job and a great video to

Debris gets all gunked up in the gears for the timing belt in those... just take the cover off and the belt and you will see a bunch of crap stuck in the grooves. It is a haven for mice and debris when mowing. Give it a shot, it's a Honda!
