I have the deck-switching feature on my Pioneer DDJ-SR. It can be great when you're playing a set, but want to throw down some scratched samples on the 3rd channel. I use the feature a lot as a more feature-complete mix preview as well: play live on channel 1, instant-double to 3, jump forward to your planned mix position, and mix 2 and 3 in your headphones. Repeat live with 1 and 2 when you're ready. It's great for avoid clashing vocals and finding other potential issues that will get in the way of that smooth mix. I don't think I could live without that feature on a 2-deck controller.
Both of them are now also natively supported in Virtual DJ (latest early access build) if you want to be able to do even more with the units
I use VDJ. These two controllers look brilliant for how much they cost. I want one.
you need to pay in virtual dj to use more of its features (like serato) or you can do it for free?

Or the Pro 150 belt drives then Finally a pair of Technics Yes. Then it all went down the shitter with digital, saying that I have gone down the pioneer road myself. 😕
soundlab decks, direct drives so measly that the belts were a better choice because of no torque at all and massive motor noise aha
They are now also natively supported in Djay Pro for iOS 😃
Ordered this yesterday. Was firmly set on getting the DDJ 400 but due to it not being available anywhere...I opened my mind and found this! It looks the business!
Just got mine today traded my sb3 for it and let me tell you build quality is on top for this price! Jog wheels feel amazing when you scratch, perfect for beginners

@@zdf1000 I heard from a couple retailer that there a problem with worldwide distribution and I guess also production...this was a couple months ago though..not sure if situation has improved. I have the Mixtrack now
Thanks for this. You mentioned something about your DJ career journey. I suggest you do for us an autobiography vid and include the DJ/tech devts you have seen and the debates around these and how these devts have shaped your career. I am saying this because today it is very easy to take the DJ craft for granted (and this teck makes us even lazy) but the DJ craft has come from far....you had to employ a lot of 'manual' skill (eg having to know pretty much all the BMP ranges of all your collection). I bought the FX and now I’m gonna swap it out for the platinum because I hate having to look at laptop a little more.
However when my wallet is right I’ll likely just get a much better setup. Thanks for the good information 👍

I own the Platinum FX, I find the jog wheel is a bit heavy for scratching. Is the Pro FX jog wheel any lighter? Or are they this heavy because of their large size?
