- Diving into our obsession to audio, we picked up a new hobby. We are going to unbox and review the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX. This 4 years old DJ controller is still up to for new comers in the DJ Space? LET's FIND OUT! =D
i use mine with VirtualDJ and it's flawless, in fact i get more options than the standard settings on it with Serato. Stems are cleaner and it allows me to control them on the eqs as well.
i have move on to the serato pro- and indeed it unlocked alot of awesomeness
@@BenjieMoreno i hv them both as well as rekordbox and i used to enjoy serato, but not so much lately. In comparison serato feels a little limited by 2024 standards.
so recommending using VirtualDJ, i am picking one up tomorrow.

I’ve started about 5 months ago this is the first controller I got. Anyone recommend another entry level controller like this that’s compatible with serato? I wanna upgrade to something a little bigger but nothing to crazy. Love this controller btw very good for beginners like me!

Bro why not demo it with serato dj lite? I’m used to sdp and have been on the fence with a smaller controller. So this won’t help anyone who is looking to start DJing. It comes with lite do it with lite.
for beginners that is not commited to pay for dj pro ($299) almost the same price as the controller, this is the most practical approach. not everyone can wing $600 to start a dj hobby. i own pro as well
What I hate about these is they discontinue to software and then the controller is junk.
for the price its very competitive. serato lite is available online- what is discontinued?

A Yamaha sound will solve the problem 😀
It's a great controller, but build quality is rubbish. Falling apart after 200 hours of use. Crossfader ghosting and the platter fell off my pro fx.

I have the 2009 NS7. my left drive motor just went out, so i ordered the mixtrack platinum. Cool review of the unit.
