2 year review. I love the prime go. I dropped my pioneer equipment for this and I don’t regret it one bit.
the library access via wifi on Engine 3.0 is highly underated! I have no idea why Denon doesn't advertise these features more.
Still more functions than the cdj 3000
A cdj is not an all in one..two different things.

If Denon could manufacture a 4 Channel version with all inputs found on the prime 4 it would be a massive game changer. Great review as always mate.
It's a game changer already. If you need 4 channels get the PRIME 4.
The GO is about portability...not wireless or 4 channels.
@@tonykellydjt2805 i agree. i don't think 4 channels makes sense for a portable unit like this, you'd be compromising too much in terms of portability.
The GoRack is a super awesome bit of kit, so sad they stopped making it so quickly... I can't imagine it wasn't selling well, maybe too well and killing the sales of their lower drive rack models... but it is a great unit... if I'd have used mine a bit more, or realized how handy it is, I may have ordered more when PSSL cleared them out... debating picking up a Prime GO for a small portable device for certain occasions...
Got mine today and love it! The LED for Mic 2 is continuously flashing though. Any idea why?
Great video. I'm all in on the Denon prime eco system now with a prime 4 and prime go. However just as you pointed out the effects issues and lack of beatsource (which I'm a subscriber) is troubling. Any idea about when an update could be coming?
No dates to give you, but Beatsource LINK is definitely coming soon, and I know Denon DJ have heard me on the FX.
Honestly I want one just to take it and a JBL boombox to a park or something and hang out with people for a few hours.
How do u connect to JB tho?
You don't need $1000 System to sit in the park. For that all you need is a phone or tablet.

thanks for the great review does anybody know if Denon has worked on the Updates for hte main fx?
I use the Traktor S4 MK3 USB to my macbook pro able to see the unit in OBS as an audio device, can you do the same with the Prime Go or do I need an soundcard device?

He man is actually about to return in a big way. Kevin Smith and Marc Benardin wrote the script to a whole new He-Man series for Netflix with an all star cast as voice talents. It is in production right now, but with the global pandemoniac upon us it's anyone guess when it's going to premier.

Love the idea of wireless not sure if anyone has already mentioned but have they missed the boat , this could have had wifi / bluetooth playback connectivity then you can rock up anywhere and just link into local sound system .... thoughts peeps #staysafe
Who missed what boat? Denon? Bluetooth lag prevents serious DJ performance, thus it is deactivated (but there is a BT-chip I believe). However, just the rear RCA main and connect two battery speakers swiftly, no problem imho. Or if you just prep something, you only need your headphones anyway...

yes, you'll need a USB audio interface just like with basically all other DJ gear.

The Go doesn't have bluetooth, but you can plug it into a BT transmitter if you want. I imagine you would have a hard time mixing with the delay, but I guess you could get used to it.

I have a Denon DJ Prime 4 and have been using it professionally for 1 year. I never had any problems regarding operation, software or updates. I believe that each one must first know the equipment in the reviews on CZcams and then be sure that it is the option that will make you happy.
Problems will always exist, as long as you have made the purchase in legal places, you will be able to have assistance. The rest is to use accordingly and thus have your performance guaranteed.
where's the sound coming from if no cables plugged in?
The Prime Go records your sets directly within the controller. Chances are they dubbed over the music in post. I could be wrong, but thats a logical explanation.

.. is the battery removable? ie replaceable? or is it built in? Because most devices using battery these days seems to diminish over the course of a year or so ..
The battery is replaceable.

No, you would need to connect a bluetooth transmitter to it if you want to use it with bluetooth headphones/ speakers

I'm not familiar with the Mixon, but it looks like it has a more standard layout, and of course you get two more channels for mixing, so I can see where it that might be a better set up for some people. The nice thing about the Go is it's a stand alone device, and it stands up to hot outdoor gigs in these central Texas summers.
I have a gig where the sun creeps under the canopy and starts hitting the stage by the end of the day. The Go didn't even flinch in direct sunlight and high 90s (F).
can the mixon 4 run without a power source? The big appeal of the GO is the battery power.

you can run a lot of controllers off a USB battery charger with a $5 cable.
You guys don't like to demonstrate the microphone side of all gears review, why? Try and do a whole video performance of the microphone side of the mixer or the controller, please. How to use the sampler for microphone if possible.?
The thing like bout the denon equipment is the choice is either standalone or WiFi streaming. Aa using tidal through serato can be bit of a struggle sometimes needs off line mode if your at home..thought the WiFi streaming was for when you where at different venue. But with Microsoft rolling out updates after updates thing its been done you use tidal via serato dj pro then Microsoft send updates even tho have set a time when not to it crashes the system getting very annoying now. This why would like to turn to the denon stuff.

Bluetooth would've made this perfect for its time. I would've thought at the very least you could connect Bluetooth headphones. (likely latency limitations)

Just use a Bluetooth receiver, but make sure you get one that has no latency so the very latest version of Bluetooth and look up aptx also

Albeit Prime OS is still a bit annoying, it has evolved quite well since 2017 imho. Give it 1-2 years and there should be no more complain.

Even the sound quality from the SC-5000M + X1800 was nowhere near as good as my old DJM-2000 Nexus with the Audio10 running Traktor!
The SC-5000M + X1800 outputs a harsh digital sound even when playing HQ WAVS
I just can not shake the opinion that this is really grossly overpriced and there are only a extremely minimal times you have no power option. It just screams toy to me. I own sc5000 decks so what do I know? Lol
as someone living in a place where gigs are pretty much cancelled for the forseeable future, having a battery powered kit to take to parks and for small gatherings has been fantastic. I don't have the Go, but I do have a portable, micro, battery-powered system that has been great for small gatherings, hangs in the park, and just djing in headphones during the sunset. Would love to get my hands on one, but $1k is a lot to spend in financially unstable times.
If you own SC5000s, I can assure you, apart from the jogs, it feels very, very similar in use.
Also prices are lickely to drop a bit. Expect 700-800 for the P-Go and 1000-1200 for the P-2. And yeah, the cool thing is that their "heart" like CPU, OS, Display, Workflow, Wifi... are all the same across the whole Prime line, which is pretty dope!

lmao yeah see how far you get with the DDJ-200 and no laptop.
most people won't need this device, but it's not being marketed as a beginner or entry level DJ system.
and when you consider that, you really can't compare the two. this is a battery powered AIO, while the DDJ-200 is a controller that doesn't even have a sound card.
So what about a laptop or PC lol with rekordbox & you need to pay for the full rekordbox experience

@@FunctionGermany rekordbox is free but most extra packages cost & i dont think so as its a cheap controller. The more expensive ones do
