In the Wee Small Hours

This is one of several songs I like that I recorded at home during covid lockdowns using my mobile phone. The song was composed by David Mann and Bob Hilliard back in 1955 and was the title track of an iconic Sinatra album released that same year.

Thanks Dan. I think playing at a gentle, unforced level is probably my natural way. I'm not so good when the volume or speed cranks up.

Wow, thank you. It’s an honour to be mentioned even in the same sentence as George Van Eps. I didn’t know he was one of the session players on the Sinatra album although I knew he did a lot of top session work. I have to tell you that reading your informed comments (not just on my music but I read them on Colin’s channel too) I admire your deep knowledge of the music down to the fine detail of personnel, historical background and anecdotes.
