  • Last night I realised there isn’t too much info out there on omega swapped P38’s and figured I’d give a somewhat guide to what’s different between them,
    Omega engine code X25DT 130hp
    P38 256T Plastic Intake

    I've been dailying a 4.0 p38 for 5 yrs now and you're right, simple mechanics no plastic guards everywhere stopping you seeing the engine. Even managed the front pulley seal on my own!

      I think a lot of people get detracted from giving it a go because people say “Range Rovers are complex electrically and everything’s rusted solid” for me there is 2 jobs on them that I shudder at doing, 1st is the clutch on a manual.. absolutely hateful job! 2nd is the ballache joints, there’s a good reason there’s literally forums dedicated to doing it, they truly are a big job, my white one needs both sides doing so I will 100% post a video on that, as I have found a technique that doesn’t require the special tool and has a high success rate, it’s pretty eye watering when a garage quotes £1000 each side, unbelievably in some circumstances enough to right the Range Rover off lol

      I hide it away from my wife, she doesn’t know about this place 😂 people shouldn’t be selfish with knowledge, hopefully some of the things I’ve picked up along the way can help other people out with their vehicles
