Allen Maragh was right when he said that there are many good jockeys who never get the chance to prove themselves, Carl Morgan is one of them.

Good and enjoyable interview,as he was allowed to express himself without much interjection,on another note where are they now,a jockey by the name of s. Anderson he rode in the early 19eighties if memory serve me right i think he won aboard a horse name dancing queen.he was an aspiring young rider then could someone shed some light.tought he might be plying his trade at some other track. Thanks quick galloper for bringing on bongo john Maragh.

Yow, after di 2,000 guiness, Ability began his trek towards the derby, by training almost every day or so. He even bypassed the St Ledger, he was well prepared to get di derby trip easier than the other entrants. Great preparation by trainer Patrick Lynch 👍🏾

I have a personal experience where I had a horse the trainer ran her from distant to sprint race wasn’t sure where she would run best ,one race day she was scheduled for a five furlong straight race with a Canadian jockey who had won two races earlier on the card however on the way out of the parade ring the horse dislodged the jockey and he got ishaken up and refused to ride so the stewards told the trainer they will allow the horse to race if he got another jockey but the trainer was a bit reluctant so he asked the assistant to see if there was a jockey available, the assistant came back and said he could not find one willing to ride her .I was a bit disappointed so I walked towards the jockeys room hoping to see a jockey to ask when I saw ALLEN MARAGH he had won a trophy race two races before mine ,he had on a suit and looked real sharp ,I suggested to the trainer to ask him and he said “. No way he gonna ride after he won the trophy race showered and put on thst suit “
Me not wanting to hear that walked over to ALLEN and told him the trainer can’t figure the horse out and I need a legendary jockey like him to ride her and give us his opinion he never hesitated he said sure went and changed ,he went 3 kg over to 54 kg everyone that saw him going out on the horse said why you put a jockey with so much weight you giving away his chances ,but I was happy she was running and I got a very talented jockey to give us feedback after the race .she ran third coming from off the pace ,a lot of people say she would have won but to me it’s like she won I was happy after the race he said she was nice filly and she would run best at 7 furlongs .She won a few races at 7furlongs and placed 2nd also she developed joint problems so I took her to the farm her first offspring was a famous filly who was champion two year old but she got injured and went to have a few babies herself
