    Wish they didn’t have those sand cast resistors and had a little bit better crossover parts for a flatter frequency response. I know it is a budget speaker but nicer resistors aren’t that much more. They did make it look pretty.

    i got the lumina 3 after listening at the store all the speakers they had. it was the most ``open`` speaker there and very detailed. Bass lacked compared to others but it was half or 1/3rd the price, and apart from the bass, it sounded just better .
    Now my problem is, they sound really great, and I love them, so should I go for the nova olympica 3 ??? will they sound EVEN better that that?? but then I need a more expensive amp to power those. Oh my this audiophile stuff is gonna be expensive haha
    They had the olympica 3 and 5 there at this shop, I thought they have the same kind of sound, just a little better. But I didn't listen long enough. probably if I spent time with those speakers I d see they found a LOT better. And now I want...

      Wilson and some others show the way to future mainstream speakers. Technology trickles down, and the current weak link in the current mid priced hi fi chain is the speaker. From source to amp progress has been impressive. Now it's the turn of the speaker.

    Think you need younger people joining the video maybe telling their audio experience and what they see hear about the product, enthusiasts. Talk about your experience with what they're hearing and what experience tells you and what they could do to move forward.

    • @labalo5
      @labalo5 Před 3 lety

      I disagree. The first format had something similar and I don’t think I ever really was that interested. And I’m not that old. Wisdom isn’t there with the younger crowd. Much too noisy IMO. There are other channels for younger types of audiophiles.

    • @francisdelacruz6439
      @francisdelacruz6439 Před 3 lety

      @@labalo5 Well I guess then the number of Audiophiles will continue to shrink and you would be forced to sell higher end equipment to get your margins. Younger meaning mid 20s with a decent budget for entry level Sonus Faber stuff. Maybe it's a different crowd requiring separate videos and presentations. Anyway it's worrying that the numbers go down and magazines disappear so you get low visibility.

      They really don't have audio experience. They could talk about their lack of audio experience. We do desire to see more of the younger generation become engrossed - hopefully, we're able to engage the young in some sort of dialog and maybe inspire them a bit.

      I suggest that you and others go watch & listen to *TheAlphaAudio* CZcams channel's Live Test recorded Demos of speakers and other audio components. Their recent Live DAC Comparison was excellent.
      And they have recorded and compared many speakers as well where you can clearly hear the subtle & minute differences. And YES, even while listening over CZcams!
      Jaap & Yang know how to set up their microphones properly in order to capture the true sound coming from the speakers in the room.
      99% of others just don't know how to do this properly and their recordings of the speakers in the room are not accurate and just don't translate well.
      And before any naysayers say that it's impossible to ACCURATELY record speakers and hear the true differences and subtleties over CZcams with it's Lossy Compression and blah, blah, blah, just go to *TheAlphaAudio* and listen to at least ONE of their "Live Test" videos.
      Subscribe and try to catch their Live Streams so you can participate and read the Live Chat comments of the viewers and from Jaap & Yang (and sometimes the Live musicians) while they are all listening to the system in real time with you.
      If you use decent headphones, decent studio monitors, or a good home system, you will be able to CLEARLY HEAR the differences and the true quality, which is corroborated by the comments made between Jaap & Yung at *TheAlphaAudio* and the remote viewers/listeners.
      This IS NOT EASY to do, so it's usually a complete waste of time and energy for other CZcamsrs to try and record "in room" speaker demos.
      However, if they invested in the proper microphones and equipment, and used the proper microphone techniques to record the speakers in the room, it is definitely achievable and worthwhile.
