    The Italians have created a beautiful "Guarneri musical instrument" at $16,900 US. The Guarneri has the looks, engineering, build quality and superb packaging. Thanks Adrian for your passion, enthusiasm and presentation of this gorgeous speaker!

    Have bought a pre-owned original Guarneri. No regrets.. the thing that struck me was like Adrian said... the sound connects to you emotionally. Phenomenal when paired with tubes like EL34s.. Played many ballads and instrumental pieces, always ended up having that Yo Yo Ma emotional face... lol. But not a fan of the newer ones. Felt that something was sacrificed to get more low end.

    I agree, Wilson Audio needs to seriously look into how they package theirs.. I saw one unboxing and thought to myself how a brand can think so little of that aspect of their product.

  • @grandmasterjo1
    @grandmasterjo1 Před 2 lety +1

    Class 👌👌👌
    I first heard these in 1996 and was floored.
    I think then it had marble stands and was a piece of art.
    Correct me but I believe the Guarneri was actually placed in an Italian museum so I heard.
    The polish is done by violin polish men, and measured in microns
    Now please tell me if the Guarneri’s are worth the price at $17K

    I kept thinking someone was going to accidentally knock the speaker off it’s stand before securing it. Beautiful speakers though and I’m sure they sound as beautiful as they look. Speakers on stands make me nervous. I live in earthquake country. Good reveal guys.

    I was watching you un box and I know they are going to be expensive, but as they come out of the box they take my breath away and I am thinking to my self these are worth like 2500 or maybe 3000 so I'm guessing they cost maybe 5000 or 6000 and I go if they sound really good I could maybe go 8000 maybe stretch to ten then Adrian goes there 16000 and I think I just dont know anything about hifi and I am never going to be able to afford that and its a shame. People who can afford these are very fortunate. Thanks for showing these Maybe when there 10 years old I could buy some used they are just a work of art, thanks

    The Memento (2nd generation Guarneri) is still the best looking one, by far, followed by the original. Not crazy about the latest model. Looks cheap in comparison, like a glorified Olympica with fancier wood work. The stands do not match the rest, either. Still beautiful, though. Just less so than before. The Strad is the most gorgeous model that ever carried the SF name.

    • @Turtleback8024
      @Turtleback8024 Před 3 lety +1

    • @jakbenardete7707
      @jakbenardete7707 Před 3 lety +2

      I used to have an older version of these speakers. My preferred way to drive them was with a good tube pre and a solid state power amp. You can spend a lot of money on the amplification of these guys and they will keep showing the difference of the amps. Macintosh is a good pairing.

    No deep bass, no high end, yet they are amazing? Pay the 16,000 for a book case speaker and convince yourself these are amazing, because of the cost? No reviews uphold the bang for the buck. Also, heralding the packaging is only interesting. If that is what it takes to make someone go ga-ga over a product, the packaging is cheaper to make than the product. I've received wine with better packaging. You guys lose credibility with me.

    those speakers stands of Sonus faber are joke what hole together is not the screw on the base of the speakers is the glue is where metallic is in the end of the stands if you force you will hear crack sound end goo luck with that

  • @genaishivatov1737

  • @deOnngmail
    @deOnngmail Před 3 lety

    i just can't get past the chrome on the front. to me it is hideous, cheapens the look of the speakers and doesnt give it that sexy italian luxury look. Sonus faber needs to go back to beautiful wood and leather combination finishes. loose the chrome, loose the full wood finishes.

    • @Turtleback8024
      @Turtleback8024 Před 3 lety

      I think it’s a gorgeous speaker. Especially with the chrome. It adds that expensive feel to it, and talks to the clarity of the tweeter.👌
