- I arrived and moved into my apartment in the heart of Toulouse. I'm not sure how long it's gonna take for it to sink in that I'm actually living here and I'm not just here on holiday. I don't have anything other than my big suitcases full of stuff I brought from the US and a mattress on the floor, so my first few days are gonna be full of running errands, getting things set up here like bank, phone, metro card, buying food and basic household items...

You are living my past dream! I was supposed to move to Madrid for my undergrad, then France for my mba. But life happened and i ended up working full time while finishing to school. Can you talk more about starting a bank account in france as a student and also how you handled the cell phone transition. I'm starting my masters in france in August and those two things are very concerning to me.
As you live in Toulouse, you should try to taste the Cassoulet (or maybe you already know it)...
yes ! I haven't had a restaurant version of cassoulet (as all restos are closed 😔) but I've had a jar version of it and it was very good :))
