    A home-defense shotgun that comes with chokes is unusual, but I like the idea of being about to concentrate birdshot and have more stopping power. I live in an apartment building, so shooting buck or slugs could create a serious over-penetration risk.

      I bought a SDS TX3 hd in blue like this one soup cause I saw your unboxing . My fist pump action shot gun . What are the dos and donts on this take on pump shot guns? Can I pull the trigger on a empty chamber and dry fire with it ?

    • @megatrends
      @megatrends  Před rokem +1

      @@CA.0verview Yes, compleely safe to dry fire most shotguns. As far as dos and don'ts there's much you can do to ruin a shotgun through normal use, they are a solid tool. Glad you like the shotgun, I own a few and this one is the best for me because of the shorter length and compact feel without a lot of recoil. Very happy with it.

    • @megatrends
      @megatrends  Před rokem

      No, no mods. Depends on the shells. Usually I can squeeze in an extra target round type shot shells. Magnum or slugs not so. I’ve had the same results with my Maverick 88, can get an extra one in if it’s target rounds. They are a whisker shorter and adds up to about a shell length. Thanks for watching. @@simeonnava8868 no it was not difficult to remove once the magazine cap is unscrewed. I'm not sure what problem you are encountering. I cannot answer that ... I'm not going to worry about it because a good smith can make it work. Th shotgun is a basic Remington 870 design but does not utilize the same ejector spring system which is actually good because the Remington is a rivet and gun smith repair type deal for the ejector. The extractor seems basic like other shotguns I have in the 870 mold. I realize this doesnt answer your question. Perhaps calling Tokarev or SDS Imports and asking would be of benefit.,

    Fine video--plain vanilla, right to the point, good info. Loved it! One gap I think? Does this baby have dual ejectors/extractors and action bars? I might have my terms screwed up; I DO KNOW 2 are better than one; need to find the vid that'll clear the fog. Seems like the SG's can have both "E" types.
    And maybe I'm a pr**K, but what does shooting water do? Besides make a mess. BUT, ultimately do what you feel--it's your SG, your vid. I'd LOVE to see you shoot targets, use the diff. chokes. I know that chokes help at time, if you over choke it'll mess up your pattern/ degrade it?? I believe I understand he diff's between the shot types ; a small # means more actual pellets, vice-versa for the large #; I know birdshot allows a bird you bag will to have enough meat LEFT on it. I'm a bit confused all over again re: overpenetration! (Big deal on an AR indoors, like your house). Maybe I just plain forgot what I already had learned; A GUY BELOW MADE A COMMENT, and I'm thinking, "HUH"? Does shooting slugs & HIGH FPS cause over-Pen??
    I just ordered this EXACT type Tokarev TX3 12 HD Pump, and the more I see/here, I'm excited.I had looked & sweated over all the other types like REM, Moss, Tristar, Beretta, & Benelli, and then this guy pops out of nowhere. AND WHILE THE COMMENTS ON SOME OTHER TURK. MADE GUNS WERE NOT CONSISTENTLY GOOD, THE REVIEWS ON THE TOK TX3 HD WERE JUST THE OPPOSITE.
    NEVER have had or fired an SG before. I wanted the Marine, but ran out of time & Classic Firearms ran out of them, so.... I reckon I'll have to oil it or use one of those preservative type bags?? Buy the Marine vers. anyway later? (I also tried to get a Panzer EG 200- but they wer O/S on it too-Took too long to decide) Don't recall if there was a price diff.
    This SG has SO MANY features for a silly-low price; how do the TURKS do it? Sling mounts, butt pad, rail, sights! Just the EXT. Tube thing he mentioned--the REM by comp. needed REAL WORK to add the tube--and then U R stuck w/it !!I'm glad I ordered the WOOD type--the black really (COOL-must admit) Tact. looking is all the rage (maybe Camo?), but I like old RETRO/nostalgic. Not sure about the shells he was firing, like 2 3/4, bad ass 3" ? I believe lower FPS would give less recoil, correct? (Or mini SG shells?) I did see the recoil wasn't bad at all, which is what I want yet, J. Beau is a decent sized guy, so all this added together + shouldering technique means less body action to the recoil. Well, TTG, said plenty.

      Firstly thank you for coming by and watching. Shooting puddles shoots mud and water 30 ft in the air and makes me feel like Im ten yrs old.
