Magically Beautiful Aladdin's lamp - Restoration ASMR

Restoration of an incredibly beautiful old brass lamp in the style of Aladdin's magic lamp with a genie. This kerosene lamp arrived in very bad condition. The surface of this rare lamp oxidized over time and was very dirty. It looks very mystical and unique, doesn't it? Presumably, this find has been lying among scrap metal and garbage for a long time. I decided to restore it to perfect condition and check if it will work and burn. I think this antique Aladdin lamp was made around the 1950s. At that time, a lot of brass and bronze products were made, which were very beautiful and had not only practical value, but were also used as a decorative decoration of the home and interior. How old do you think she is? And in what country is it made? If you have more information or guesses about this ancient thing, then write in the comments. I will be very interested to know more.
I will show the entire restoration process and the final result in my video. I will say right away that the result turned out to be incredible, the lamp is very beautiful and works well. I will use this magical lamp as a decoration in the house for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

In terms of your question this was made. It could have been made from the end of the 19th century to last week. Although the use of machine threading and hex nut in my opinion leads me to say 1980s onwards.

The work done on this lamp is beautiful, no doubt about that. That being said, I do doubt that the lamp itself is an "antique". The craftsmanship and fine detailing is too smooth and clean, suggesting that machinery was used in its manufacture. The chain and connector rings looked pretty new even before they were restored, too. My best guess is that this is a mass-produced replica of an antique lamp, probably made within the last 30-40 years.

I just googelt it and you can buy this model of oil lamp in a deko shop. Just like some other of his " restored antiks " in other videos on this Channel.
Hello! Of course, it did not damage it, because brass is resistant to corrosion. Brass only oxidizes. It is a non-ferrous metal. Only steel and iron are damaged.

I understand restoring it, but one of my favorite things about copper is that patina. Myself, I'd have restored the working bits and simply coated the rest. You did a beautiful job restoring it. However, in having gone back to "new", it lost a lot of it's charm. It's still a very lovely piece.
You asked in the video how old this thing is, and I'm going to say not really that old based on the hardware. It's certainly not "ancient". Out in a scrap pile in the elements, this would have taken, what, a few decades for that deep a patina? Lamps like this are still in use by many nomadic peoples in the middle east. Pretty cool at any rate.
