I grew up with Charlie and he's just being modest , dude can play the hell out of a saxophone and acoustic guitar . He use to come up with some of the most comedic songs like "Muffin the cat"
I remember the time he played saxaphone at a ski resort with a beautiful woman. He took control of the mountian that weekend.

I love how Charlie mentioned "Sunny" owes everything to Danny for becoming a cast member.
I watched the very first episode of Sunny as it was broadcast and knew there was something special -- it's so great that they've done so much awesome work for so long.
I'd hate that. I've come to know, love and be absolutely obsessed about the show since season 5 or 6 and the waiting between seasons is horrible. The worst! I don't envy you going through that for an extra couple of years.

I remember watching it the night it came out too. I didn't fully grasp it at first, but it was more entertaining than anything else on tv at that time.

I'm new to the show, just started a week ago. I watched "Charlie Work" today, and it's my favorite episode so far.
Damn I didn’t know they NEEDED DeVito to continue 😳 that’s awesome he’s stuck through the entire time…really incredible show!

Charlie acting like he's the not the musician that composed the world's greatest musical, Day Man.
He didn't. They had another composer come in. There is a great episode of their podcast with him, but unfortunately, they decided to also have Lin Manuel Miranda on so he got overshadowed a bit.
One of my favorite shows It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Charlie is hands down my favorite character besides Frank. In one particular episode in which the gang do a heist and pick out a character that reflects themselves in real life and I laughed my ass off as they couldn’t get the van to stop and Charlie says “Oh, I cut the brake lines.” The gang says “Why?!” And Charlie says “Wild card, bitches!” And jumps out of the back of the van.
He's gonna have to brag to sweet Dee for actually being on Conan now

I heard Danny interviewed and he said his daughter or granddaughter loved the show and talked him into doing it and that he had never seen it before she pushed him to consider it.
On the always sunny pod , he said he decided when him and his family sat down and watched the first season , he was sold
his son who was briefly in an episode
Also the guy in charge of FX ran Danny's production company. They're friends
I’ve been waiting for this exact guest/episode since summer of 2019.
Big up Charlie. It's the best show. Getting Danny as the big name was so left field it's brilliant.

Charlie Day is awesome. I like his vibe.
"He once was in charge of the moon" as a castaway idea for Homer from a 60 year old Conan is a great exemplar of how his weird little brain transformed the Simpsons into the best absurdist comedy of all time
hey, what matters is Conan did not enjoy killing that first lady and it helped him find his way in life
Frank really brings the whole thing together. Season 1 was ok but every season after is just progressively more hilarious
Season 1 was much darker and quirkier and raw than the rest of the seasons. It just had a real indie feel to it. Always liked the first season, but the from about season 2-6 were the peak of the show.
Sunny gets worse as it goes. It gets way too cartoonish.
So excited about the new travel show with fans!! I wonder if it will be with the same fans who call in for the podcast.

Charlie Day's biggest asset aside from his comedic sense of timeing and acting, is his voice. His voice is funny; it's a charactor that amplifies what he's doing. Sunny is in it's 16th season already because the whole cast is great and it's well written. It's dark comedy at times mixed with the mainstream.
That's awesome that they found an affordable camera but did he put a tape in it?
This is the best example of a studio note in which the note was really really smart. Normally they're stupid and ruin everything. But FX was on point
Agreed. Season 1 was painfully average at best. They got so much better with DeVito. The fact that DeVito has never even been nominated for, let alone won, an Emmy for Always Sunny ... makes that award meaningless.

@@bluemoon1716 Yeah, I even re-watched it recently. Yes, certainly unique but unique doesn't always equal good. It's one of my all time favorite shows but like another all time favorite, Parks and Rec, Season 1 a bit of a clunker.

@@jamesalan3450I personally LOVE season 1. I don’t think it’s my favorite, seasons 3-5 probably take that, but I thought season one had a great charm about it. Parks and Recreation though, like you said, is my favorite show of all time personally. Ironically enough though PanR’s first season is my least favorite. I hardly ever watch S1 after my first watch of the series. I would say Sunny’s first season is miles better than PanR’s first season, but I’d rate Parks and Rec as the better overall show. I could watch it til the end of time.

The Simpsons first 9, maybe 10 seasons are the best. After "Homer to the Max" (season 10 ep 13.) its a parody of itself. Conan had a hand in some of THE BEST Simpsons episodes created and I will always love him for that.

Its crazy to see conan so.... uneasy, hes rocking his chair while talking and is showing clear signs of anxiety. This is why i hate when people idolize celebrities, they are just regular people with bigger budgets. Charlie day is one of my favorite comedy actors and hearing him speak genuinely is so interesting.
