It’s a dead bit because he forgot about her character being deaf and dumb. He tried like all hell to sell a bit that should’ve been awesome but if you’re following the storyline and character beats then it’s a dead gag. I love everyone in the bit and the mcpoyle sister but more attention should’ve been given to her in this regard.

The way they act I almost believe they really did grow up together and knew each other their whole lives
The side actors in this show were legendary...liam mcpoyle, Roxy, Artemis, Jack Kelly, cricket, country mac, the lawyer, the waiter...the did a masterful job casting in this show.

@James Stone Kramer had this problem in Seinfeld. His character is always over the top so he'd lose steam pretty quickly. It'd add up after several retakes.

It was apparently incredibly difficult to make Kaitlin crack over something, but when she does you know its good!
Danny’s so interesting. He’s unhinged in the show, a professional on set, but unhinged in real life when he’s not working

That’s his secret, he’s not acting just playing himself. He never breaks character because he is the character
The guys have said on their podcast that It’s sometimes difficult to distinguish whether or not he’s in character or being himself. They sometimes just assume it’s because he’s from an era of acting where “the method” was so used, but he’s so well respected and well known they just kind of go with whatever level of unhinged he’s bringing to set that day. He’s amazing.
I think adding him to the show also brought out the best in the rest of the cast. They seem to get better and better every season.

Ok I just have to say the improvisational skill is incredible.
The take at 21:26 where Charlie responds "here and there" they start breaking and then after a second I think i can see the moment Charlie comes up with the follow up line "but mostly here".
Amazing to see him come up with that, and then the interviewer actor is so quick to come up with "and there" and delivers it fucking perfectly.
