Yes, both Ernest Borgnine and Shelley Winters are in THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE, but Shelley Winters' husband was played by Jack Albertson (from CHICO AND THE MAN and CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY). Borgnine's wife was played by Stella Stevens. Oh, and Borgnine and Winters were never married. Conan should just start every podcast playing Brutus's song from Robin William's Popeye movie.
    I'm mean.
I'm mean, I'm mean, I'm mean, if you know what I mean (girls chorus: He's mean he's mean he's mean)
It's a very deep and moving song. It's so soul touching that I actually typed all that out.

Just for the sake of correctness, In The Poseidon Adventure, Borgnine’s character wasn’t married Winter’s character. He was a retire cop married to a former prostitute he once arrested. Winters plays a Jewish woman married to someone else.

Did anyone ever correct them about the Poseidon Adventure? Ernest Borgnine's wife in the movie was played by Stella Stevens. Shelley Winters was married to Jack Albertson.

No, Sona is wrong. Shelly Winters and Ernest Borgnine ARE both in The Poseidon Adventure, but they are not married it it. She is married to Jack Alberston (Grandpa Joe) - I remember bc they played an old NY Jewish couple, like my grandparents! With whom I was staying when I watched this move as a kid (I think on the Disney Channel? weird). This movie was so upsetting to me at the time, I was enthralled and remember it forever. Ernest Borgnine did play a cop. Sorry Sona!

Last night I dreamed I ran into John Mulaney (no idea how) and was telling him how my younger brother is a huge Steely Dan fan, and he invited my brother to go to a concert with him. They did and had a blast. Afterwards, my brother invited John to go fishing with him some time, and John was like, well, okay, this was nice, bye, and left. Lol. I was a bit disappointed when I woke up because I would've loved to have seen John show up in those big wader pants they make for fishermen, and my brother would've been like uh, you don't need to wear that; we'll be in a boat. Lol. Some dreams end too soon. X)

12:50 pause it, the happiest you'll ever see Conan - simultaneously surprised, smiling, laughing, clapping, and turtling in his tightie whities (unseen).
Also, Conan was the one who commented, "Doesn't he know, that Conan could tear Marty limb from limb?".

For what it’s worth, according to Wikipedia, Tova Borgnine published ‘The Tova Difference: A Promise of Lasting Beauty’ with Elaine Trebek in 1984. This was after Elaine was divorced from Alex and his moustache. Nevertheless there apparently was a Trebek/Borgnine connection, just not as exciting as the one most often fantasized about. Oddly, Wikipedia does not convey how Tova felt about Ernie’s theory about self love extending his longevity or if this was behavior he only engaged in while she was away selling her beauty products on QVC.

I went to rehab too, and the woman who had authority was like “This is active listening!” Except the way she demonstrated it was, repeating words back into the face of the person she was “listening” to.
She acted almost as offended at my suggestion that she didn’t know what she was talking about as all the parents at “parents’ weekend” at rehab in Montrose, Houston, TX did

This same woman was lecturing us another time and my friend Keven said “I’m trying”. And she walked up and held out a pen to him, and said “Take this”, so he did, against her zero resistance, and when he did she like…tapped her brain, “…See how easy…?”
