We have one of these and the voice activation for addresses works quite well for address strings. The only key is that you have to make sure you speak distinctly and separate words (not unnaturally separated, but clearly as if you were dictating the address to another person over a telephone). The way he said "Van Ness" sort of blurred the "N's" together so that is why it didn't work. The XTS is an amazing car with tech that is far above and beyond their competition.
What clown manages the CNETTV youtube videos? Why is this AWESOME video not in the cartech playlist? Get it together CNET, you have a high quality product being delivered in a brown sack.
Humorous, yet great review. I personally think this is the best sedan GM has ever produced in terms of luxury, but not performance. Real leather and wood everywhere! Perhaps a first for Cadillac. But the CUE system, while intuitive, is rather undefined and can be downright frustrating to use, especially if you're not patient with it. I also wish it had the same level of performance technology found in the new ATS, which is MUCH more fun to drive. But this is a great Cadillac!
was confused with the CUE review on this model. Is the CUE system different on the XTS than on the 2013 ATS? In his review of the 2013 ATS, he said the CUE system is way too slow and performed too poorly to be compared to the cheapest of tablets. He also said in the ATS review the voice command navigation worked great.Yet it seems he's saying almost the exact opposite here...
I would try to avoid all the cars with those touch interface for at least few more years, they are slloow. Or at least for me since I expect the touch tech to be as responsive as my phone.
The A6 is FWD based and it gets along fine so why not? Also the Eclass and 5 series both have higher base prices and their volume models have less power, even if it is only by 2hp in the E's case. The XTS isn't supposed to be a German executive sedan alternative anyway, so none of this really matters.
Yeah but this isn't Caddy's flagship. Mainly it's supposed to retain older DTS customers. And it makes more HP than the last Northstar DTS that was available, torque isn't that far off either.
The FWD doesn't bother me so much. I mean the older cadillac deville concours was FWD too. But they could have at least made a V8 an option. Like the camaro or the 300C. If you're driving a flagship cadillac sedan I dought fuel economy is a priority to you.
V6 and frontwheel drive that only gets 304hp at the crank?? Oh yeah that will definately compete with a 5 series or an E class. What the fuck is GM thingking??
Rented this car for a week while on vacation and loved it. Got a lot of stares especially at night with the headlights. Loved the parking asst.
HA! "Your not a celebrity, don't be a dick" literally the best thing I have heard you say. Amazing!
This is why we love Brian.
Dont be a celebrity your not a DICK.... lol
This guy is so great, I'd give him a raise!
This car seems so nice, would love to have one!
And the lady who heard him saying that kept looking back at him LOL

The only comment she got right was “cancel for the love of god.” lmao
Love this Bloke, makes the best reviews in my opinion.
i like the interior alot, it's slick

Fyi people, Audi's sedans are FWD-based too (when not equipped with Quattro), and they seem to be doing just fine.
Why didn't you guys do the driving portion? :/ I'm curious as to how it rides.
Good job sir I like your show a lot ......

@3:55, tidy cord management, cord jams when screen closes lol
god damn it if i see the sprint commercial one more time.
I love this car and glad I got one. It gets so many looks since it's pearl white with the dark windows and chrome wheels
Lady at the end was checking you out, Brian!
Great job cnet
How does that tug boat drive?

I wish Cooley would review the iPhone 5... I know he will make it less biased!
Awesome!
i love you brian
Really good review !!!
This is a very nice car even if it is a "grandpa" car. Good review Bryan.
That cracked me up, Brian Cooley can be hilarious.
I Laughed so hard when he said "You gotta get an android phone for that."
I would try to avoid all the cars with those touch interface for at least few more years, they are slloow. Or at least for me since I expect the touch tech to be as responsive as my phone.
Agreed.

My car starts then spotters and dies..I have to pump gas pedal repeatedly but litely for it to stay running
Brian needs to review the 2013 Altima 3.5 SL.
Why is there no on the road part as we should be expecting in CNET Car Tech video reviews. It's a car review!
nice
LOL I love this guy... "You're not a celebrity don't be a dick"
"..don't be a dick.." truth from a wise man
Caddilac is now euro-competitive. They should bring it to EU
this is bttr than the 5 Series!!!
But how does it drive? Or is that not important in the US?
Um...where'd the driving part of car tech go...?
this video makes me think that when you buy a CUE, you can option in an XTS.
"You're not a celebrity don't be a dick" . COOLey.--- best in Cnettv
LMFAO
"Don't be a dick"
This guy is so awesome
So this is a Cue system review.
Funny that a tech site can't balance the audio volume levels.
WHERE ARE THE DRIVING IMPRESSIONS?!!?
they are
6:03 keep it up with that and you'll be the best reviewer ever :P. hahaha
Actually it's more BMW 7 series big. It's bigger than all its competitors & about the same size as a 7 series!

exactly what i was wondering........
6:03 lol
look it up.
i like how he says "you'll need an android phone for that" FUCK APPLE
Android zing! Nice
this is not your grandpa caddy.
Why doesn't anyone notice this cue system lags like crazy when swiping to the next page etc lol
Why didnt they take Brian to Paris???? :0
I don't think the nav screen is at an ideal angle, would be better if they made the screen higher and tilted it forward
Treyday1982 says Caddy should have stretched out the XTS...none the less awesome ride!!!!!
I like this guys reviews, but I too am surprised he said.. "Don't be a dick". Gotta love it.
Brian Cooley should design cars. Best car reviews on the internet.
Treyday1982 says do a show with cerealmarshmallow
@ 6:03 - don't be a dick - LMFAO!!
I'm guessing celebrities don't watch Cnet, right?
"don't be a dick" lol
Hahaha oh Brian...
2:30 "cancel for the love of God"
Hah. Finally a car review with an attitude.
i don't understand why can't they just put a tablet on it ?
When I push button to start it starts to sputter to death
lol yeh i am next...
my cue works GREAT!
This is the 3rd time he uses the word DICK in his reviews LOL
hahaha my grandpa gets a new cadi every year
iPhone u mean
Hahaha don't be a dick that's classic that's Bryan...decided against the platinum trim!
Wow. You must be the talk of the 8th grade class using words like that huh?
The interface looks way too slow. Why don't they just mirror some phone screen or tablet screen. That would be s much better.
if you want a stripper version of this, wait for the Impala
lol at 6:04
calm down people, its somewhat of a rebadged lacross.
Another genius comeback by a 12 year old. I guess you wanted to be "first"?
UI is LAGGY as fuck.. jesus.
neither do you.
