The full length video is worth it folks, highly recommend
Really enjoyed the going back to basics, great job.
you did a good job friend
I love making my knives but I don't do a good job recording them for my channel. You are an artist
that knife is cool and some good tips and trix with it
Cool results, hard to imagine that came from an old file!
Very nice work!
The full version is well worth a watch, I like the method you came up with for clamping the handle...its a great way to keep the knife tip safe
This was a sick video.
I love the way you setup the knife with that clamp around 2:59
Great idea!
Your "avil" with the bar through the eye is a super simple and great idea!
Glad you like it!
I've always steered clear of making a knife because I was under the impression you need a big fancy belt grinder to do it. This video gave me the inspiration to try it now since it's been shown an angle grinder will do the trick, and actually work.
Well worth watching the full video linked i the description
@@BlackBearForgeII heck yeah. First thing I do every Sunday morning!
Turned out really good John. Enjoyed watching you make this video a lot. Thanks for sharing with us. Fred.
Beautiful job John
That was a great video! I’ll definitely be referencing back to this video and the longer version when I make my next knife!
Nice looking knife ! Well done!
Nice, but you use epoxy glue!
Do you also know how it was done in the past?
I forge in the Bokrijk museum in Belgium, where I can't do something like that with epoxy, but I can with something else, resin perhaps??
An amazing feat, but what grit is your whetstone? This is a very lovely video saved to my Playlist. Thank you so much!
I use a Soft Arkansas, Hard Arkansas and Black Arkansas followed by a leather strop.
Thank you John. 🙂 @@BlackBearForgeII
