With its nostalgic, beach-cruiser-inspired Galaxy Line of e-bikes, Evelo has created two highly accessible step-thru models with varying levels of luxury. As the more economical version, the Galaxy SL still proudly offers high quality components and a few lavish features, while keeping costs more practical. With a small, lightweight step-thru frame, the Galaxy SL is maneuverable, easily mounted, and much more easily lifted/transported than many heavier e-bikes on the market.
The Galaxy SL features a Dapu 500W mid-drive motor with torque sensors for a more traditional cycling experience.
The bike’s gearless Enviolo continuously variable transmission (CVT) and twist shifter provide a huge amount of flexibility when it comes to pedal resistance and ease of uphill travel.
The Galaxy SL features a well-tuned pedal assist system with steady increases of power between levels.

I read specs of this bike but when you state weight is 53.6 lbs does that include weight of battery? Critical info needed to help my decision making.

That does include the weight of the battery! Evelo says the weight drops down to around 47 lbs with the battery removed.

Rear rack battery? Thats so 10 years ago. Reminds me of a Prodecotech Ebike? 36v/13 ah battery. "Where would i go?" Not very far.
