The Lectric One is a premium ebike at a budget-friendly price. Equipped with a Pinion Smart Shift and Gates Carbon Belt Drive system, this bike should easily be priced at $4000 or more. In Lectric fashion, they have used their buying power to reduce costs and bring an affordable product to its customers.
In this video, Andrew will do a walkthrough, and tell you what he loves and hates about the Lectric One.

obvious that these guys aren't bicycle commuters but journalists. First generation of automatic gear box, and they want it refined. This is a breakthrough for affordable ebike commuters. I want one.
Wow! Great to see you doing what you love and also being a family man. Great example!! This bike has an amazing clean and well manufactured look. Nice.
Can you pedal it without installing the battery
I've talked with reps at Lectric twice in the past 2 weeks and neither of them could give any info at all about this bike... also neither of them knew of Andrew or Freshly Charged which is pretty sad considering how many views this channel gets them.
Yeah, wish my legs still worked, pretty sure I'd order one of these bikes. It's not that I can't pedal, it's that my legs won't support the weight of me and the bicycle, so I end up on the pavement with the bike on top of me. But I do have the Letric e-trike. A little boring, but at least it gets me out of house when the weather is decent. 👍
Good video. All makes sense now why no fork suspension, the neck will break!
damn i wish i knew you were in my city i would have said hi and gotten a picture at least, but i understand you were busy, next time you are in AZ and you have some time hit up the Phoenix E-Riders
I thought about moving to Culdasack but I got a really nice apartment closer to the lake
It is undeveloped at the moment. I can see it being amazing once they build out the whole area.
In response to the “what i dont like” part rigid fork is always the way to go for a low maintenance commuter focused bike. A suspension fork would either be much more expensive or worse than the rigid either way it would require servicing that the rigid wont. As for the shifting issues i can give pinion a break since its newer tech im sure in 10 years time it will be great just like how sram only wants to sell you axs groups now
Need help....DOES IT ALLOW FOR REVERSE STEERING STEM FOR SHORT ARMED WIFE?
The only thing stopping us from buying 2 is that i need to reverse the steering stem for my 5' 3" wife with short reach. She tried the 3.0 with the stem reversed and picked up 5 inches but I don't know if the ONE also does that.
You're in my city! I live a couple of minutes from there! Awesome
Yoooooo!! I live in Tempe!! =D
At 2k i would rather they give me more battery standard or FULL suspension than an overkill electric shifter and slightly less maintenance.
I dont see why you would get this over the xpremium or heybike horizon
I have to agree, battery is king.
Suggesting those who have, want and/or need a belt drive as neglectful is a little off-putting. I'm not fond of cleaning and lubing my chain every time it gets wet and dirty. It's the main reason I now have s Specialized Como 5 IGH. I commute all year, including in the snow, slush and -20C wind chills.
It is a nice looking bike, but had me fooled thinking it was a mid-drive ebike, which it is not. Also, a local dealer found or experienced the right hand lower shift controller broken off. The plastic break was clean, which makes me think it's chemical mixture is not sufficiently tough enough to survive unexpected direct collision bumps.
I like most of it... but spoked sheels still. If you are solving maintenance problems lets see some alloys. Def worth it for the equipment though. Not sure how they got it down to 2k with that drivetrain.
Pretty incredible!
Bulk purchases!
I don't really understand how review channels can present unbiased reviews when they are given free trips across the country and other free goodies...
If you've watched enough content from Jimmy and Andrew, you'd know that it's not easy to buy their praise. Even on sponsored content, they've given plenty of bikes/scooters/EUC's/etc. some pretty bad feedback when they don't stack up. A lot of reviewers sell high ratings, but definitely not these guys.
@@dsmgx916 Can you list examples of them not giving good reviews to things they review?
Yeah you can you just ate the facts and the information about the product doesn't matter if you like it or not
They can't. Unfortunately the companies use press embargos and these events to make sure the first coverage on YT is always on their terms. Keep the bias at the back of your mind and watch anyways imo
@@BigB0ss00 Well I'm certainly not going to go back through every video they drop for you, but the most recent example is only 4 videos back, the Cyrusher Ripple electric snowboard. It was provided to them by the by the seller and they blasted it in every way.
I appreciate you going through the specs on the components for a quick preview.
Their site claims 20lbs for front rack, 30lbs for the rear, which seems kind of flimsy for a commuter.
And, finally, locking grips! It’s annoying how I have to constantly readjust the non-locking ones on my XPedition.
If they onlt made it full suspension fate tire with a bigger battery, or as a cheaper vesion a hardtail eith big battery for like 1500, 2k for this is insane, while it does have good quality parts, 2k is just too much for that tiny battery and no suspension
Don’t order until bike is in stock. I ordered on march 28 with shipping in early may.since then date changed to June,July 8 and now August whenever. I will be canceling
Damnit, to ride in pennsylvania, this bike needs a front suspension and larger battery.
Maintenance is always a problem for me. I bought 3 Lectric bikes within a year and all of their motors broke down in a few months. I don’t know what I’m doing with maintenance I don’t. Have time or money to keep repairing the bikes so this would be much better.
Nice bike with the throttle should be on the right side
Technically Mackinaw Island is the first car less community. They’ve banned cars on the island in 1898
Seems kinda weird to me to have a opinion with a hub motor? I almost wish I could buy this without the motor, like a minivelo
I know it'd be way more expensive, but I wish it came with the pinion mid drive motor. Still pretty cool.
Pinion + Mid Drive would definitely be sweet!
For no motor version of this bike, get the Priority 600HXT. Bad news, costs way more
Pretty sure it is 55lbs *with the battery (40-something without it)
Did Andrew say this bike should cost between $4k and $13k?? HILARIOUS! I think he mis"spoke"
Yeah, it's bc most bikes that have a Pinion are very expensive. But you can get a priority bike with Pinion for $2500 USD, it's not electric tho. If another company made an e-bike with gates carbon drive and pinion, would likely be at least $4k. Maybe Ride1up or Aventine or Radpower can make a Pinion ebike for something similar in price
I can't believe they didn't add front suspension. A budget fork would not have increased the price by much.
Budget = cheaply made= another repair down the road
This actually does seem like an awesome bike. It’s almost like they made it to distract us from the defective Xpeak…
Would love one with bmx bars as I do not need or like all the heavy folding mech .
Battery should be 20AH minimum. 10.4 is a joke and should be priced at $1,499 instead.
It's not possible to purchase a Pinion C1 with electronic shifting for less than $2800 at a dealer just for the part. Add in the CDX and CDC belt combo from gates and you are well over $3k in just the drivetrain. Bike is designed for weight savings and efficiency with the intention to appeals to commuters in urban settings who may have to carry a bike up and down stairs.
Sure it is it does not cost half that much from its maker in China
@@jasongardner1910 Pinion is made in Germany and Gates is from Kentucky.
Assembled, but the manufactured components?
What good is a fancy shifter if you cannot ride very far . These are very low cost cells in there battery packs . 10ah should never exist in a $2000 e-bike . 14ah and 20ah would be a more appropriate battery pack size as the cells are very low cost . While the gearbox , electronic shifter combo is very nice . You are basically paying $2000 for a gearbox and better shifter with super short range . if you want to take advantage of the power it is capable of . Even with the power it still struggles to get to and maintain the 28mph . I have not seen one reviewer reach and maintain 28mph . None of there e-bike maintain 28mph comfortably . If the battery sizes where 14ah for the $2000 and 20ah for the $2200 and easily reach and maintain 28mph then i could see it . I saw a couple reviewers show they reached 28mph for a very short time with heavy pedaling only to show 26-27 max on phone gps . Don’t get me started on the squeaky brakes . There is potential for sure . Just not there yet .
Just put in an front suspension. So much better of a ride.
2k is not what I call affordable
You could get the Revv 1 with this price :O
Personally I would NOT purchase a electric bike with derailleur or chain (torque)
I want ONE, with front suspension.
Not going to pay $2,000 for a bike that barely goes 30 mi an hour with little bitty tires and wheels when I can get a 24-inch 2000 w 38 mph for $1,100 with full suspension
Name drop?
$2000 not budget friendly price
I think the breaks are 4 piston, just based on the looks
How do you quote that this bike should be priced from 4 to 13k, you lost me there buddy.
And only gets 9 miles max in PAS five 😢. SMH
Not a big fan of how low the headlight and taillight are mounted. The closer they are to the height of automobiles the better in my opinion.
Mistake making a complicated bike that needs app
4000-$13000 ? Wow lol
It's a shame that bike companies have convinced some people they should be giving up that much for Chinese components, I bet the margin on some bikes is over 100%... They play us on marginal upgrades
This bike is ridiculously overpriced. Wired Freedom anybody? 🤔
I could get a surron for that price way better
Freshly chargeed bro pls pls can you send me a segway gt2 I have always wanted one since it came out 😢😢😢 so pls can you get me one I am subscribed and everything
Definitely will stick with Voromotors Lectric is obviously loving that boomer money 💀
Looks like an expensive piece of junk 😅
Sort of like they picked the good components out of a hat and battery didn’t get picked. Next they’ll come out with a 20ah battery as an accessory for around $800.
2k... They have lost the point.
😂😂😂 hell no bro this aint it
LOL $2000 ?!?! FTHAT! Just buy a MOTORCYCLE!
Not everyone wants to pay registration, insurance, fuel and maintenance that a motorcycle requires. Besides, can’t take a motorcycle on urban trail ways. I’ve got about 4k miles on my $3k electric scooter and it’s been a blast
