There's alot better folding ebikes that were left out - better components, better looking, better construction and nicer colors and still budget friendly.

Ah, speed-targeting style of PAS. My least favorite, so a pass for me, though the rest of its features seem pretty good for the price. Thank you for that information though as it isn’t available on their product page! It’s helpful in winnowing down the choices.

Do you own the HovBeta? That looks like an amazing bike. I was wondering how that compared to the Engwe Engine Pro 2, but it sounds like Hov is probably your pick.

How does it compare to the Portola? If you had to pick one, which would it be? Any chance you could do a head to head video?

For affordable, standard folding e-bikes that does the job? Sure. For premium, yet still relatively affordable and not over the top e-bike, no. That title belongs to the Hovsco Hovbeta, a premium folding e-bike that is Class 3, 750 watt hub drive with 85Nm of torque powered by a torque sensor and hydraulic brakes. It is essentially everything an Aventon Sinch 2 is but on steroids! You have yet to review that one and its been out for over a year!

You guys should add the weights of every bike you test

I went to an Ebike specialty shop in Ann Arbor ( HEH ) 3 months ago and tested all the top ebikes back to back - this one stuck out as the best overall - alot of the more popular ebikes are chunkier and heavier - this was very nimble - was on sale too for apprx $2g and came w/ an extra battery!! A great bike!

You can so tell you’ve been spoiled by $10,000 bikes calling everything “entry level” how it wont do well on rocks and roots then you have guys like me been riding all the above on $300 Canadian Tire bikes with no issue and would consider a bike like this a huge upgrade. Looking in to getting the RS1 as an upgrade so thanks for the idea on how it’ll be. To me, the RS1 looks like a beast of a bike even though you seemed to look at it as a downgrade

I’m guessing the light weight nimble handling would remain if on the upper sized frames they bumped to a 500w motor and 535wH battery along with the stepped up gearing. 🤔 21:25

I noticed the bike is rated on it's website for riders up to 6'2". Did you have anyone taller than that give it a try? I'm 6'3", so not too far off, just wondering if it would be terribly uncomfortable. Thanks!

My first impression with Velotric is not good I bought this Velotric T1 the 27th of April 2024 so many problems I change the IOT module thinking the bike will be repair still problem with pairing, the technician are not the capable. This is my first buy online e-bike and I will not do it again so disappointed. I have different E-bike at home one of them is the Creo from Specialized the other E-bike from Giant never have a problem.

I appreciate all of the reviews you guys do! There are a lot of bikes like this one that are interesting lately. However, Google Velotric customer service reviews. Reviews on CZcams rarely mention customer service or parts availability. How do people decide to take the risk knowing the company may not help when you need it? I can work on a bike, but bikes like this have parts you can't just buy. If Velotric doesn't help if the motor is an issue after 1 year then we just have an expensive brick?

Can someone please come out with one of these that doesn't look completely dumb. These are the new scooters, you want one but dont want to be seen on one.

The thing I did not like about this video is you never gave us your weight. To my knowledge, it would be a more effective test if your specks were done in different weight classes. To me this is a very important thing you left out of your test.

This is such a BS bike comparison this is a commercial for aventon and one or two other bikes no mention of Ariel rider Kepler that’s one of the most powerful bike out there not to mention the brand I think it’s so biased it’s ridiculous you guys are a joke

Ebikes as they get better definitely have a lot of room for improvements. You have your full size Ebike and then your smaller more portable Ebikes and scooters sit downs and stand ups. I love the sporty full suspension powerful sports bike, but when I aim at practical and I believe that's what most people want. look for comfort, power! And not saying super fast but there is no reason not to start making more ebikes geared for torque and power! That means if it goes 32 mph and you hit a steep hill still remain at 32 or maybe 28 at the most with a person that may weigh over 250 but this is not the case as most use hubs and not middrives. Bike laws have a lot to do with this and somethings are going to have to change! Laws should allow any watts if the bike is geared to the recommended speed, many will need higher watts bigger motors not to go faster but to have that needed torque. As bike paths get bigger, longer bikes will need bigger batteries or the ability to nicely add two or three batteries and I mean not slaped into the bike frame looking all cobbled up but clean looking and batteries placed in the righ places for best balance and performance of the bike. We are getting close and we will see a small power compact Ebikes that is excellent for very long distances extremely comfortable and can pull a small trailer that can hold groceries yet has enough power to get up any hill with very little slow down if any so ebikes we start to have a option for excellent touring bikes and I'm seeing this with people modding and upgrading making the perfect Ebike.

Compared w/ Lectric 3.0 they seem similar. When my Lectric stopped running 700 miles in i found a local shop that was contracted with Lectric and it was no hassle, free parts replacement.

DO NOT BUY this bike. Battery fails after a year, they will not replace it. Garbage! #radpowerbikes

I got this bike few weeks ago and I can say your review is super accurate, I did ride maybe 100km on it so far and nothing to complain, the bike is very built and super easy to assemble, good feature like hydraulic break, fenders, lights front-rear, suspension (very smooth riding), shifter works well, seat comfortable, solid front-rear rack with bungee, good battery range (you don't have the anxiety of running out power). One negative but not really negative is the number of PAS level 1 to 9 which is too much, I am using PAS3 or 4 which give sufficient help. I have climb short hill quite steep fine, I usually give a push with the throttle and down shift, I don't have long steep hill to test like you in Utah, but in your review if you "assist" the motor, you were able to climb until the top. I am about 5.5' and I am probably borderline, I think the bike might be too big for a 5.3' person. Overall, I like the bike, pricing is also good.

I love it when a rare enjoyable video comes into my news feed...! I am literally "in like" with this guy!!! I have 100% never been able to sit through ebike videos over 2 minutes. It's not that I'm impatient(well? Maybe sort of, kind of), but more of the fact that this guys voice-cadence keeps me focused and intrigued. Sounds weird, I know. Enough with the compliments..... As a towering 6'- 7(235 lb)" ebike owner, this height/weight situation has been a thorn in my side when picking out a decent ride. 4 years ago, the choices were pretty slim on the market, compared to today's vast offerings. I settled for a lesser known, and barely talked about fat tire brand/style called Magnum Scout. It was seriously the only fat tire available for my ginormous size. After a few hundred upgrades(literally), I have a behemoth of an ebike that still gets a myriad of "oohs and ahhs" on the daily. This super insightful video however, has got me doing a full 360 on the newer options out there for us biguns. The one thing that I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around though, is the rider distances given with all of these ebikes in the vid. I have 100% never gotten over 25 miles on a single charge with my current ebike set up. I just purchased a new battery with a 48v/21ah(previous 48v/19.5ah) power range yet, seem to still stay within the same distance and mileage max. I rarely use the fastest PAS option nor do I live on my throttle. It would be great to see an actual distance test done for those in the 200+ lb weight class. I will close my dissertation with this.... Your company has garnered a new member and fan of your page for sure and I look forward to seeing all of your vids.! Why no pedal electric, or grizzly?

I am considering an e-bike as I now have 1) a 4-mile work commute (One way) and have weather where I could bike year-round (Tucson, AZ) and 2) my car gets 16 mpg city/20 mpg highway. I haven't seen anyone discuss traveling downhill on e-bikes. Maybe you guys could discuss/add a downhill test like you do in the going uphill test (as part of your review on e-bikes). My commute would include both uphill and downhill, I don't want to find out after I made a purchase. I'm concerned about wearing out brake pads and possibly over-heating the brakes. Will the electric hub help control speed gained by traveling downhill?

lol.....Ebikes have to be the only product that pays off procrastinating on the purchase. The bikes keep improving and getting cheaper. When you think you missed out on a deal the deals get better. When you think you'll wait for better options on a bike you're considering ....for me, the Euphree X+ to offer a 750 watt hub and then not doing it. The Stellar Falcon option falls short too. Now I have 5 upgraded bikes rolled out with bigger batteries and motor for a lot less and offered at brick and mortar shops with warrantees. What's with this 3DHD? The numbers for the battery/motor, build quality, low grade equipment and unknown company absolutely do not match the price! $1799 lol that's funny. What? I just checked out their website. The bikes are WAY OVERPRICED for what they give!!! I think iGo pass on this company.

500w with a cadence sensor for $1800 from a company no one has heard of and it's throttle couldn't finish the hill climb. Maybe $900
