A friend of mine gifted me some of her propagated pieces and it's been struggling for months with dropping leaves but also giving new growth. Such an emotional plant!
Thank you for all the wonderful info. my mom gave me one that's pretty good size and it hasn't seemed very happy. it gets plenty of sun but I may have been going light on the water. I did a 1x a week watering. does it need more? it just seems sad sometimes
Bought a beautiful Umbrella tree plant about 6 months ago. About 1 month ago all the leaves are dropping and turning yellow. It's just about dead now. Not sure what I did wrong.
@@thecontentedplant7057 I transplanted in a bigger pot. It definitely was root bound & I didn't see any pests. Hopefully this helps it bounce back a beautiful plant again. Thank you for the tips.

It can be dramatic for sure! Mine has grown significantly since this video. But it still likes to be dramatic and drop a number of leaves on occasion.

I just bought one and I’m pleased with it however, I have one bigger leaf that has black on its leaves! What’s up with that??????? Darlene

Oh no! I would pull it out of the pot and inspect the roots. Could be a case of root rot starting. Also check the underside of the leaves for pests
