From what I've read, she later came to terms with it, saying that while it was a good film in its own right, it wasn't like her books. She was willing to make a sequel, and one was actually proposed in the 1980s, but nothing came of it. She did agree to the stage musical, on the condition that no one from the film could be involved (which meant the Sherman Brothers couldn't write new songs).

“Saving Mr. Banks” did accurately depict Traver’s financial state before and after the release of the Disney interpretation of Mary Poppins. While Travers may have been upset with the portrayal, she did benefit greatly from a monetary perspective. And the release of the movie sparked renewed interest in a character which had been close to moribund in the publishing realm. You would have thought that she would have been more grateful. The bottom line is that Disney’s “dirty business tactics” set her up financially for the rest of her life.

There actually was. Look at the comments at the very beginning of the video. Mid-way on the left side is something saying, "Do Mary Poppins Y'all"

Mrs. Banks does have a first name. It's Winifred. Mr. Banks says when he's complaining about how the household has changed since Mary became nanny during the 3rd ''Posts'' scene.

It‘s always fun to listen to someone‘s attempt at pronouncing ANY long chemical name. For example:
      - ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid
      - acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymers

Mrs.Banks's first name: Winifred Banks. In the book, it's Cynthia, which P.L.Travers INSISTED on in the original MARY POPPINS movie, but ither Walt Disney or someone insisted on the change. Winifired is played by Glynis Johns, the Britis actress who'd been in Disney's earlier British films (MP being ironically made in Disney's home studio in Hollywood). (The films:SWORD AND THE ROSE* and ROB ROY>)
*Not to be confsued with SWORD IN THE STONE, which came out in 1963, a year before MP, and also had the Shermans'song!
