Fact about Patna:its one of the oldest cities not just in India but the whole world
Patna has been home to some of the greatest Indian empires like Mauryans,Guptas,Palas, etc
This city used to be the virtual capital of all of India for a long time
Also gautam buddha didn't just sit under the bodhi tree, he gained his enlightenment there
Also Bihar has Nalanda, odantapuri and Vikramshila, some of the oldest universities of the world
In fact the name Bihar is derived from "Viharas" which literally means abode and refers to the many Buddhist monasteries that dotted the region and the university residences.

    • @nganthoibasougrakpam2297
      @nganthoibasougrakpam2297 Před 5 lety +22

In Northeast there are revolutionary group's who r armed and in their ideology are fighting for their motherland(the states) ..! Some times there is conflicts between them and the army's...! So there was an act passed by the central government in Manipur i's AFSPA(pliz refer the internet for more info) which gives special powers to the armys to do whatever they want to someone whom they suspect to be linked with this groups without any warrents! So some started using this power to turn against civilians and normal people and take advantage leading to increase in rapes, fake encounters and many other more. So people start to agitate against it. Thats the short story from my knowledge . But the conditions has now cool down comparing to when i was just a kid but the act is still there. The relation is better and even there are many manipuri peoples serving in the Indian army including 2 of my uncles and im proud and happy to have our indian army!

Biharis have to do very hard work in other states to survive. The truth about Bihar is it has miserably failed to do justice with talent and energy of its young population. With no education and work opportunities they have left with no other option than to go to other places for employment.
In most part of Indian history Bihar was the culture and power centre. Since independence Govt. Policies have brought the state on its knees. But we shouldn't forget what we were. We should try to achieve that glory and lead India again.

@Aaryan Shrestha Perhaps you didn't read my full reply. I'm Bihari myself, presently working in Lucknow and visit my hometown every month in Bihar. I never claimed to know whole thing and I don't think anybody knows it either. I presented my views based on my limited knowledge and experiences from my life in Bihar as a village child who used to go to his school with dari and used to read in front of lalten at night.
Yes many things have changed from then. You rightly said lalten raj has ended but what I am saying is we are still at the last place in almost all the development indexes which is not a matter to be proud of. Actually, it's a matter of concern and only if we acknowledge our shortcomings We will be able to improve ourselves.
And regarding migration, yes it is more severe in Mithilanchal but I'm not from Mithilanchal and my family had to migrate to Delhi in year 2000 (due to agricultural losses). When I returned to my village after almost 10 years I couldn't believe that almost everyone I knew had migrated to some city. It was like my village had suddenly become old. It broke my heart seeing my village in this way. It was not the same place which I had left and I thought now I will never be able to reach there.
So, maybe you have better knowledge about the government but I'm talking on the basis of my own life experiences. The state which sends its youth in exile....how will it develop! It should be a matter of grave concern for everyone, especially in Bihar.

It means "The City of Anantha". Anantha is Anantha Padmanabha, lord Vishnu. The name "Trivandrum" is also widely used mostly by the people outside the city.

Surprising how many planned cities there are (in W.Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh, Odisha), built in the 20th century. Had absolutely no idea. Before reading about each state in part, I went through the ethnic/linguistic make up of all of them. I've long known about the largest peoples, but not so much about the smaller ones, like the Santalis being related to the Cambodians, for example. It's so great to discover new things about India step by step. It's like its own planet. Went deeper into the politics too. Trust me india has many forts and palaces much more beautiful than that you might be missing upon. Visit places in rajasthan like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur coz they are rich in history and culture. Then state of Punjab, since the people tehre are very sweet and food is amazing. There's a city called Amristar there in Punjab and you can see the india paksitan border closing ceremonies as well which are filled with dances and roars of excitement. Then the south of india like states of Karnataka or kerala since they are rich in beautiful landscapes , greenery and waterfalls, even national parks having elephants and tigers there. The north eastern india is very beautiful as well since it is heavily forested and holds natural scenic beauties. In North, uttarakhand is amazing, places like mussoorie or Danaulti are like 1000 or 2000 meters above see level, cool weather with large mountains since they are I guess part of Himalayas (highest mountain range in the world), also you can try visiting Rishikesh and witness the holy prayers held alongside the river Ganga. Very beautiful it is.

I literally shocked to see how could you cover all the states in just 16 min, but you did it really well. Everything was to the point and almost accurate.
Just few points I would like to mention -
    1. Urveshi Rautela is not that big celebrity/figure so it just felt awkward to get her mentioned. Although the information was right.
    2. God Ganesha is more worshipped in Maharashtra than Madhya Pradesh. Although Ganesha is worshipped in all over India but he is very very (yeah I mean it) special for Maharashtra.
    3. Kerala part was kind of undone without mentioning it's "God's own country", and one of the most favourite tourist place of India. Also has the highest percentage of literacy in India.
    4. Rajasthan is the only state which has desert called "Thar". And hence it's hottest in the country.
I understand there are a lot of things and you did your best, it was pleasure to watch this episode. Keep making such content, we want to watch Zimbabwe episode 😁
