Sounds like the old joke about Europe, "Heaven is where the police are British, the lovers French, the mechanics German, the chefs Italian, and it is all organized by the Swiss.
Hell is where the police are German, the lovers Swiss, the mechanics French, the chefs British, and it is all organized by the Italians."
You're right, we Italians are not good at organizing, but we are the best in organized crime 😎

I know this video is old, but i feel like i have to say this
As a Syrian who lived in Jordan for 5 years, I can tell you that Lebanese dialect is way closer to our dialect than it is to the Jordanian dialect
I might be exaggerating, but there is little to no similarities between these two dialect
i can agree with you as a palestinian
I was gonna point that out as well
Your God is one God. There is no god but He, the Benevolent, the Compassionate.
2. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
3. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
4. Master of the Day of Judgment.
5. It is You we worship, and upon You we call for help.
6. Guide us to the straight path.
7. The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided.
1. Alif, Lam, Meem.
2. This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous.
3. Those who believe in the unseen, and perform the prayers, and give from what We have provided for them.
4. And those who believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and are certain of the Hereafter.
5. These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful.
2. Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. He is the Sublime, the Magnificent. Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made for you mates from among yourselves, and pairs of animals, by means of which He multiplies you. There is nothing like Him. He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
1. Say, “He is Allah, the One.
2. Allah, the Absolute.
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is none comparable to Him.”
3. He sent down to you the Book with the Truth, confirming what came before it; and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel.
4. Aforetime, as guidance for mankind; and He sent down the Criterion. Those who have rejected Allah’s signs will have a severe punishment. Allah is Mighty, Able to take revenge.
5. Nothing is hidden from Allah, on earth or in the heaven.
6. It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills. There is no god except He, the Almighty, the Wise.
78. Allah brought you out of your mothers’ wombs, not knowing anything; and He gave you the hearing, and the eyesight, and the brains; that you may give thanks.
33. Allah chose Adam, and Noah, and the family of Abraham, and the family of Imran, over all mankind.
34. Offspring one of the other. Allah is Hearer and Knower.
35. The wife of Imran said, “My Lord, I have vowed to You what is in my womb, dedicated, so accept from me; You are the Hearer and Knower.”
36. And when she delivered her, she said, “My Lord, I have delivered a female,” and Allah was well aware of what she has delivered, “and the male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and have commended her and her descendants to Your protection, from Satan the outcast.”
37. Her Lord accepted her with a gracious reception, and brought her a beautiful upbringing, and entrusted her to the care of Zechariah. Whenever Zechariah entered upon her in the sanctuary, he found her with provision. He said, “O Mary, where did you get this from?” She said, “It is from Allah; Allah provides to whom He wills without reckoning.”
38. Thereupon Zechariah prayed to his Lord; he said, “My Lord, bestow on me good offspring from Your presence; You are the Hearer of Prayers.”
39. Then the angels called out to him, as he stood praying in the sanctuary: “Allah gives you good news of John; confirming a Word from Allah, and honorable, and moral, and a prophet; one of the upright.”
40. He said, “My Lord, how will I have a son, when old age has overtaken me, and my wife is barren?” He said, “Even so, Allah does whatever He wills.”
41. He said, “My Lord, give me a sign.” He said, “Your sign is that you shall not speak to the people for three days, except by gestures. And remember your Lord much, and praise in the evening and the morning.”
42. The angels said, “O Mary, Allah has chosen you, and has purified you. He has chosen you over all the women of the world.
43. “O Mary, be devoted to your Lord, and bow down, and kneel with those who kneel.”
44. These are accounts from the Unseen, which We reveal to you. You were not with them when they cast their lots as to which of them would take charge of Mary; nor were you with them as they quarreled.
45. The Angels said, “O Mary, Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, well-esteemed in this world and the next, and one of the nearest.
46. He will speak to the people from the crib, and in adulthood, and will be one of the righteous.”
47. She said, “My Lord, how can I have a child, when no man has touched me?” He said, “It will be so. Allah creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”
48. And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel.
49. A messenger to the Children of Israel: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you out of clay the figure of a bird; then I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave. And I heal the blind and the leprous, and I revive the dead, by Allah’s leave. And I inform you concerning what you eat, and what you store in your homes. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.”
50. “And verifying what lies before me of the Torah, and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear Allah, and obey me.”
51. “Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”
52. When Jesus sensed disbelief on their part, he said, “Who are my allies towards Allah?” The disciples said, “We are Allah’s allies; we have believed in Allah, and bear witness that we submit.”
53. “Our Lord, we have believed in what You have revealed, and we have followed the Messenger, so count us among the witnesses.”
54. They planned, and Allah planned; but Allah is the Best of planners.
55. Allah said, “O Jesus, I am terminating your life, and raising you to Me, and clearing you of those who disbelieve. And I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return; then I will judge between you regarding what you were disputing.
56. As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment, in this world and the next, and they will have no helpers.
57. And as for those who believe and do good works, He will give them their rewards in full. Allah does not love the unjust.”
58. This is what We recite to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder.
16. And mention in the Scripture Mary, when she withdrew from her people to an eastern location.
17. She screened herself away from them, and We sent to her Our spirit, and He appeared to her as an immaculate human.
18. She said, “I take refuge from you in the Most Merciful, should you be righteous.”
19. He said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord, to give you the gift of a pure son.”
20. She said, “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, and I was never unchaste?”
21. He said, “Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign for humanity, and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already decided.'“
22. So she carried him, and secluded herself with him in a remote place.
23. The labor-pains came upon her, by the trunk of a palm-tree. She said, “I wish I had died before this, and been completely forgotten.”
24. Whereupon he called her from beneath her: “Do not worry; your Lord has placed a stream beneath you.
25. And shake the trunk of the palm-tree towards you, and it will drop ripe dates by you.”
26. “So eat, and drink, and be consoled. And if you see any human, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Gracious, so I will not speak to any human today.'“
27. Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have done something terrible.
28. O sister of Aaron, your father was not an evil man, and your mother was not a whore.”
29. So she pointed to him. They said, “How can we speak to an infant in the crib?”
30. He said, “I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet.
31. And has made me blessed wherever I may be; and has enjoined on me prayer and charity, so long as I live.
32. And kind to my mother, and He did not make me a disobedient rebel.
33. So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive.”
34. That is Jesus son of Mary-the Word of truth about which they doubt.
35. It is not for Allah to have a child-glory be to Him. To have anything done, He says to it, “Be,” and it becomes.
36. “Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”
37. But the various factions differed among themselves. So woe to those who disbelieve from the scene of a tremendous Day.
38. Listen to them and watch for them the Day they come to Us. But the wrongdoers today are completely lost.
39. And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded. Yet they are heedless, and they do not believe.
40. It is We who will inherit the earth and everyone on it, and to Us they will be returned.
59. The likeness of Jesus in Allah’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was.
111. And say, “Praise be to Allah, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.”
85. Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.

Iraq was known for the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and Mesopotamia. The Syrian Capital of Damascus is known as one of if not the oldest Capital's in the World. I am mentioning this as Positive things about these 2 Countries because at this moment they are known for the Wars and conflicts in the region.
Thanks alot (From an Iraqi)
Thank you so much, as an Iraqi I always hear terrible assumptions about Iraq from people that know absolutely nothing about it. And even Syria, Syria used to be such a beautiful country too but it’s a shame of what has happened there 😔

one of the things that amazes me about the name of the country of Iraq is that the name is an Arab version of the name Uruk, the first city of Mesopotamia, or even the world.
Thank you! I myself am Babylonian (Assyrian-Chaldean)! I'm a Indigenous person. Iraq will become a Christian country again one day.
Thanks man im syrian and made me happy also iraq is amazing
Damn this channels motivates me for world tour. Then my Wallets laughs at me.
Wow.... That's Sad 😔 since I'm a gulf citizen we are rich asf I've travelled 31 countries

Hey, a Comorian here! Thank you so much for mentioning us. The archipelago is so small that anyone knows about us 🤣. Our culture is super mixed with arab, african, indian influences. That mixed heritage is shown within the population. And actually, no one speak arabic fluently. It's just one of the official languages because we have a huge arab heritage and because we are muslims. But Comorians knows how to read and write arabic. Basically, in our official documents (passports, ID, etc.), we have French and arabic written. Comorian language is a kind of variant of Swahili. If some of you have ever been in Tanzania especially in Zanzibar or Dar es Salam, that's basically the same thing. You should come. It's very beautiful and we are very welcoming 😻☺️.
Moon5 I met some Comorian brothers in Yemen they were great, very friendly, and a lot of fun.
Thanks for insight. Love from Nigeria
🇰🇲 الله يحفظها
Do you welcome non Muslims also ??
As an Egyptian, I'd love to know more about you guys and about your culture which seems very rich .. and who knows maybe one day I'll visit you as well. Best wishes from Egypt ♥️
Hey, everybody. Mohab here!
I have no idea if this comment will be seen by anyone or drown underneath the thousands of comments. Oh, well. Here's hoping...
Now, I'd like to clarify a few things:
1) I sincerely apologize for the mistake about the similarity of dialects I mentioned in the video. I concur 100% that it's Syria and Lebanon that are very close, not Jordan and Lebanon. Honest mix-up that was overseen by me.
2) Barby had to edit out quite a LOT to stay within the time frame of Geography Now's episodes. A loaded topic like this can be covered over hours long, and there will still be a lot left out. 22 countries in 17 minutes? I think he did a terrific job.
3) There isn't a racist bone in my body, and I never tolerate any discrepancy or hate of any sort. Please understand that my view is simply my own, there's absolutely no way I can be 100% neutral and politically correct in everyone's eyes, simply because I'm a human being with personal experience and voice.
4) And lastly, I'm utterly grateful for every compliment anyone might have kindly shared above, just as I gracefully accept any mockery or insult as well. Freedom of speech is a wonderful privilege we should all enjoy, but at the same time be reminded that karma is a real thing. 🙂
I hope you all have a terrific day/night, wherever you are, and that you have a reason to smile as you read this. 🙏🏽😊
Mohab
Mohab Henein :: I wished you mentioned the differences and the similarities between cultures , history and accents of Arabic countries instead of mentioning political issues that we already know from the news. :(
This should probably be pinned
Great input. Thanks for your insights
Sara 2017 -- What "we" know isn't necessarily what the whole world knows, Sara (anyone who isn't Arabic speaking, that is). Like I said, it's impossible to do this topic complete justice in 17 minutes. We simply tried to mention the major headlights of the 22 counties, but after we filmed the episode, I knew that there's so much that couldn't be discussed in detail due to the time constrain.
Maybe Barby will consider a part 2 of this in the future. Then again, that'll be entirely up to him.
levi kater -- I hope Barby will do so, Levi. If anything, at least just so people won't assume that this dialect mistake was intentional or that I was meaning to undermine any specific country(s).
Very good, sensitive assessment of a vast array of states and cultures. Everyone should view these 17 minutes to gain a grasp of the Arab world. Very well done.

I’ve lived in quite a few Arab countries, visited several of the others and have met or have friends in most of the others. Some of the analysis in the video reflects the fact that the Arab in the video is from Egypt, lovely people but often with an inflated view of their contemporary pan-Arab influence because of history. I know a number of Palestinians, generally lovely clever and funny people, despite everything. I will always have a special place in my heart for Morocco as it’s the first place I lived outside of my own country (UK), apart from being beautiful the people are very friendly & their cuisine is great. One of the other Arab countries I lived in is Oman, again a lovely place with a fascinating and complex history & the people are truly delightful. Overall an excellent and fascinating vídeo.

“That you shall worship none but Allah. I fear for you the agony of a painful Day.”
I'm Algerian and I can say football is the national sport and it's a very important time when our country play like we all meet women men children in coffee shops, public places and watch the games ... honestly it's so great you'll want to join us
Same in lebanon everyone gathers in coffee shops or the streets during the world cup, like no matter what countries are playing we root for everybody but brazil, germany and france are the most popular countries in lebanon to watch and support during the world cup since our country doesn’t play much internationally

Them about Syria: "I'm pretty sure they're just people."

I'm even Libyan and I can clearly distinguish between Lebanese and Jordanian
@@MohamedMahmoud-ey9tj yes, that's easy
That Egyptian guy obviously knows nothing about Arab countries. Seriously? Jordanian and Lebanese sound the same? They're SO different. It's Syrian and Lebanese that are similar & Jordanian and Palestinian that are similar.
restingbitchface He already said sorry for this mistake
Syrian is really really really heavy compared to Lebanese so no they’re not the same
restingbitchface they don’t sound the same , but Palestinian sounds like Jordanian . Indeed north of Saudia Arabian are more similar when it comes to Jordanian accent than Lebanese!
Palestinians are actually Jordanians by ethnicity but the "Palestinian" name is being pushed by Arabic countries propaganda to drive the Israeli out from the middle east.

24. Whereupon he called her from beneath her: “Do not worry; your Lord has placed a stream beneath you.
25. And shake the trunk of the palm-tree towards you, and it will drop ripe dates by you.”

27. Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have done something terrible.

38. Listen to them and watch for them the Day they come to Us. But the wrongdoers today are completely lost.

40. It is We who will inherit the earth and everyone on it, and to Us they will be returned.

Do Slavic countries!! They are acutally unusually similar to each other in language, culture, cuisine, but each one has its own little twist:)
Every town has its own twist
SantomPh, its true Slavs can't understand each other perfectly but from what I (think I) know Slavic languages are more similar to each other than some other language groups, like for example English and Swedish fall under the Germanic language branch although they are not very intelligible to each other when speaking, the same as Romanian and Portuguese who fall under the Romance branch.
Slavs are also interesting to analyze since they weren't exactly great conquerors in history and they haven't assimilated many non-Slavs so by genes and culture they may also be more similar to each other than other Europeans, but with a little twist :)))
*Squats and Wodka*
"weren't exactly great conquerors in history and they haven't assimilated many non-Slavs"
But what about Russia, Poland and Bulgaria? They were quite large both in area and diversity of
population, plus many tribes were assimilated by Russians in religious and cultural terms so as Polish (west Ukraine and west Belarussia) isn't it?
Zezolino Actually there are much bigger differences between Russian and for example Polish than English and German. Slavic languages just sound quite similar but when it comes to understanding you can get maybe 3 words from contexts which you MAYBE understand right if you have good ears and your interlocutor is speaking slowly. Even Czech and Polish aren’t that similar as most of the people think, they sound alike but meanings of words are totally different. When my school has an exchange with Slovakia we’re speaking in English because we can’t communicate. We have a lot of Ukrainian people here and though the older generation speaks Russian so they can communicate with them we who speak only Polish, English and the other west european language we can’t communicate with them at any point.
We might deny it but we do have the weirdest accent of all of the Arab countries. Greetings from Morocco 🇲🇦

Algeria 100% french whaattt !!
Algeria be like : hold my 48 accent. + amazigh language
T S they aren’t. They speak french because they were colonized by France for over 132 years. And in that period of time they were forbidden to talk arabic/tamazight. Everything else relating to their culture was banned. They had to intergrate with the french. It’s just after 8 years of war that they could finally have their culture. But french is still heavily ruling in Algeria. That’s why they speak french better than any other African country
@@ts8404 are you joking Algerians are literally known for being the biggest french (the nation not the language) haters (and historically, it's understandable) you couldn't even pull out a French flag here and survive a few minutes.
Now of course it's a more complicated relationship than that and French is still an important administrative and educational language here (though English has been growing in use recently) and also speaking completly in french is a little bourgeois upper class big city thing here. Most of the poeple only use french loan words in their everyday dardja (Algerian Arabic) but speaking completley in french would get you some weird looks especially in popular neighborhoods.

I think he means that Algerian French speakers have an identical accent to the metropolitan French.
probably because we put french words in our sentences 🤨

but we algerians have a superiority with the prononciation of the letters.. we are the best in that for sure..

The fact that he is all he said for Iraq is "The goth kid" is highly inaccurate, and dissapointing. Our rich history, rich culture, kind warm hearted people, etc. Considering he saying Iraq is only a goth kid is dissapointing. And there are many Iraqi out of Iraq. Such as America, and Canada.
“There are no Iraqi people outside of Iraq” does he know-how many Iraqi people live in the United States and Canada
I live in Germany, and there are plenty of Iraqis. I am also Jordanian, I laughed when he said other Arab countries don't get a large intake of Iraq!! Nowadays there are a lot of Iraqis in Jordan and a few decades ago like every other Jordanian studied in Iraq!!! Back when Iraq had a king he was a cousin of the Jordanian king!! Then there are Iraqis artists... uggh snob Egyptians!
He didn't say that though?
Wait, is there Iraqi people or Arabs in general found in the United States

True I didn't like very much
with did he mean by Jordanians and Lebanese sound the same
yeah like he just talked trash about countries he doesn't like and nice about countries he likes. that's it!
I am not Lebanese nor Jordanian.. but saying that you can't tell Jordanian from Lebanese is very dumb! (Jordanian is much closer to Palestinian and Lebanese has more in Common with Syrian).
*indeed , good point tho.*
Bacel Kabaoueh No we’re only close to Syria geographically but we re so different we’re close to a European country
arabic wise none of any of the countries arabic sound the same. Im lebanese and every village in lebanon has a certain accent to their arabic but most of the countries have similar sort of culture
@@eliowehbe6145 First of all I am speaking about the dialects not the culture, then coming to your point of being close to Europeans country is not correct with all due respect.. Unfortunately the society in Lebanon is corrupted because of the different sects and although it seems modern and free but the society is divided to cantons. I really don't mean any disrespect but the whole middle east is hopeless, Lebanon included!
Bacel Kabaoueh no ones hopeless but I see we’re your coming from like 20 years ago Syria was a gorgeous place before the wars my family use to go all the time and then everything started tumbling down and yeah. I reckon if they had a proper political status they would be more full of “hope”
I was born & raised in Cairo, Egypt. I've interacted with both Jordanian & Lebanese people. Jordanian sounds a lot closer to Egyptian than Lebanese does. In terms of closeness to our dialect, I'd say Gaza Arabic then Jordanian. Lebanese is still easy to understand (compared to Iraqi or Saudi) but it is different.

43. “O Mary, be devoted to your Lord, and bow down, and kneel with those who kneel.”
44. These are accounts from the Unseen, which We reveal to you. You were not with them when they cast their lots as to which of them would take charge of Mary; nor were you with them as they quarreled.

55. Allah said, “O Jesus, I am terminating your life, and raising you to Me, and clearing you of those who disbelieve. And I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return; then I will judge between you regarding what you were disputing.

16. And mention in the Scripture Mary, when she withdrew from her people to an eastern location.
17. She screened herself away from them, and We sent to her Our spirit, and He appeared to her as an immaculate human.

36. And when she delivered her, she said, “My Lord, I have delivered a female,” and Allah was well aware of what she has delivered, “and the male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and have commended her and her descendants to Your protection, from Satan the outcast.”

As a somali person. We are in Arab league although we are not Arab. I must say it’s weird thing!
maqosle Maquuste
I agree .. Somali people don’t speak Arabic
Abdalrahman Alghamdi. I know wright only few people do here and there.
Caweys
Who called you Arab, Arabs only in Arabian Peninsula
Abdalrahman Alghamdi
Well Arabic has always been a secondary language in Somalia and was taught in religious schools. That’s part of the reason people assume we’re Arabs.
You're politically Arab
Saying "all Arabs are the same" is pretty much just as ignorant as saying "all Europeans are the same"
Well physical appearance wise there's an overlap, but for sure they're all different when it comes to culture and history. Basically, North Africans and people of the Levant region are Arabized by the 'real Arabs' from the Arabian Peninsula
Except europeans don't speak the same language and form an entire continent unlike arabs
Pyro Gear
Exactly, and to be fair, a number of the countries in the Arab League seem to only be there because they’re Arabic-speaking, even if most of the people that live there aren’t even ethnic Arabs. Like Somalia, Comoros, and Morocco
Pyro Gear
What do you mean?!
Arabs share the same culture, same language, mostly same belief, and shared racial roots.
Europe doesn’t have any of this. It’s incomparable!
When you see two Arabs from two different Arab countries, you will not know their countries of origin (unless you were an Arab yourself).
We are very homogenous as a society (excluding Saudi Arabia).
P.S. When I say Arab countries, don’t count Djibouti, Somalia, and Comoros. They are not Arab by any means.
Nachtjager
So I suppose you’re going to say that since all Germans are one “race” that things are exactly the same in Hamburg as in Vienna? 😂
Not even close! There can be a lot of cultural variation even within a single ethnic group
love this channel🎉
Thank you for clarifying!

Lebanese and Jordanian do not have the same accent at all and there are so many Arab Iraqis out of Iraq I would know I'm iraqi
He's deluded with hatred. The reasons are day clear. Ignorance is what Arabs are known for nowadays(not everyone obviously but the majority). They praise a man who took away the lives of countless innocent people. Truly the act of non-humans.
He already made a comment above that he mixed up Jordan with Syria

Moroccan Arabic sounds the same to other Arab countries as German sounds to other European countries. It's way more aggressive, less melodic and it just feels like you're insulting whoever you're talking to, because of Amazigh and French influence on the language. Awesome video btw!!!
Just a clarification:
That the german language is aggressive is a typical stereotype coming from the way hitler spoke and this often being the only german foreigners get to hear. he had the strangest overly exaggerated accent i ever heard and i know no dialect that sounds like it.
true, german might sound harsh or less melodic, but thats because it is rather clear and most of the time gives each letter a sound.
also: if u were to compare languages within europe, there are many eastern european languages that sound even harsher cause they use more consonants.
no hate or anything, just wanted to make it clear.
PS: for me as algerian i feel its more like the difference between a really strong southern US accent to a brittish english speaker. the person with a southern US accent most likely understand the brit, but the brit wont understand them when its their first time hearing it.
in fact algerians are not arabs so the way we speak arabic is not agressive it is just different and when u are trilingual your 3 languages influence each other it is not just the case of arabic but arabic has influence over french and amazigh language too and so on : the way we speak is not aggressive it is just different and amazigh and frech are very beautiful languages if u knew one
German is from the Germanic language family. Not all European languages are from the same language family so it would be a bad idea to compare Latin languages to Germanic langues to Slavic languages. This episode talks about the Arabic language family so lets stick to that.
Wth bro i bet you never heard a amazigh speaking its one of the softest language ever! And the most agressive one is the egyptian dialect.
arabic influenced amazighen not the opposite ..
I am Egyptian and Egyptian Arabic is a little easier than normal Arabic and I was also borned in the Revolution and my family came out to the street to protests it honestly felt like a party

For anyone wanting to learn about the Arab World, just know that the North African part of the Arab World is only Arab in language and culture.
The Arabs, Canaanites, Arameans (Phoenicians), Assyrians, Chaldeans, and Hebrew Jews are all of the same race, the same blood, and the same origin. They are all Semites and one people belonging to the Semitic race, and all their languages are similar. They live in the Middle East
