Me looking for GCSE slanders on my for you page Bristol: Me: Yeah might as well leave those slanders for now. Moral of the story: Always will have time to watch your videos. Thank you for the effort you put in!
Broken down electric buses seem to a regular site in Dublin. It's amazing that the company I work for has 24 year old ALX400 bodied Volvos and yet they never give us any trouble yet its nearly always the newer buses I see with the hazards on and warning triangle out.
The stagecoach ones for route 86 only became fully allocated quite recently despite entering into service since the beginning of the year. Probably also the last ones using the now old streetdeck face-lift
Hartsway used to be the dumping ground for non starting dws 9 out of ten buses i picked up had starting or coolant issue - or should i say very watered down coolant
I love the sounds of the electric buses when they've stopped. Don't seem to be that many around London though. How many miles can it go on a single charge? The 307 is a fairly long route.
I've read about Arriva's transaction to the equity firm being completed. I guess it'll now be the case of different companies or equity firms bidding for the company?
Not sure I like the look of them, prefer the look of our ones on the 307. Don't think there will be any differences in driving them, but yes, will be good to have a drive
NBAR is New Barnet. Because electric buses don't have an engine, and thus no engine sounds, they emit a noise at speeds below 15mph to warn blind people that a vehicle is close by
@@will_n775 Indeed. Yesterday it stuck on 20 in a 30 limit for about 10 minutes. It's also slow to update, so you leave the bus stand at Brimsdown (10 mph in stands) and you're still doing that speed 200 yards into a 30 limit

Nice video Peter! It will be good for the N279 and 279 bus routes to have electric buses
Thanks
Nice one, I’ve heard that the 279’s facelift electroliners will go to the 50 temporarily.
I've not heard that, but could do
The content really was very interesting.
@@GuyArab Thanks
Nice video Peter. Good that the ESs are out full time now
Bustines has all Ev on 307
Thanks
Nice video mate!

Not sure about miles, but they can last about 16 hours if they start on 100% charge, then run in with about 6-8%
nice work mate
Thanks, always good to see you!
Nice one 👍
Thanks
Why is the hazard lights on solid on some of the new busses that are parked in the garage and on herts way?
That happens when a bus is on charge
It will be interesting if ev for 279 and 307 get mixed up or not
It's almost a certainty, giving the rotation needed to charge them
Nice video Peter
Thanks
Can u do an shift pattern vid showing what shifts days off u have each week please
I'll make a note to do one soon
Nice video keep it up
Thanks
@@BristolRE you are welcome
I've read about Arriva's transaction to the equity firm being completed. I guess it'll now be the case of different companies or equity firms bidding for the company?
For Arriva? That's sold, no idea about the other companies
@@BristolRE Hasn't it been sold to one of those equity firms that will try selling it on? I remember learning about them in Business
@@mohibj I'm not aware that they're looking to sell it on
@@BristolREI always prefer sales to happen directly to other companies instead of equity firms
@@mohibj I don't know much about these people to be honest
Hi Peter, thanks for the video. What routes can you select for the LED blinds? Would be good to see a video on that and what they look like
Good point, I'll make a note to film that as soon as I have an opportunity in the next few days
also route 121 is retaining with existing diesels I thought it will electrics its getting😅😅
Only a 3 year contract so I guess it will be retendered and get electrics in 3 years time

did you know route 279 is getting vision zero electroliners looking forward to riding driving them ?

The duty card has abbreviations I know a few but what is NBAR? And is that the electric bus noise ?

Checking the bus over we have a device that you can take photos etc, is Arriva still pen and paper?
Yes, I'm afraid so!

Which hours of the day do you get paid more?
After 2100 we get some unsocial payments added, obviously the longer you work after 2100 the more you get
Do these ES's have any restrictions? (like ISA or a low speed limit) because that's what's putting me off buses at the moment 😂
Yes, unfortunately they do have the ISA, which is a real pain
@@BristolRE 😔ffs, that's what's putting me off applying

@@will_n775 Definitely, one of the more silly things to be added to the buses
