@@danielhughes8593 I live in Southwest Florida my neighbor down the street had the solar panels in the four years I've lived next to them they had to replace the solar panels three times.. they many got ripped off the roof twice due to tropical storms,they lost almost all of them during the hurricane.. and considering they had the new roof installed prior people cannot even use that as an excuse

It was nice to hear what a conservative from the US thinks about climate change, but I do totally disagree.
Children have all the right to worry about climat change, and that it is hard to stop using fossil fuels doesn't mean it is impossible to do.
And it will be much harder to adapt our way of life to the increasing waves of severe weather catastrophes that come with global warming.
I think it is very naive to say that Greta Thunberg is unrealistic when she demands all usage of fossil fuels to stop.
I am sure that she is aware that it won't happen immediately like she and other activists and people concerned about the environment demand and wish, but if the demands were lower, then people would take it less seriously.
So the plan is to put attention to our global failing climate policy, in order to as fast as possible make global institutions stop running a society that will make the earth and us suffer.
It is not childish, it is to be responsible.
This show does not seem to focus on making the earth a better place, but rather to avoid our common problems and whine about the people who are actually making life better for all of us.

The more important point is that the best way to reduce emissions is not to get everybody to drastically change their lifestyle on their own, but instead to regulate industries responsible for a large amount of pollution. As an environmentalist I can’t stand this girl. She should look at some actual solutions that won’t destroy our way of life, not simply yelling at politicians. The government is too slow and inefficient to do much of anything. I believe that it is the private sector that will crack this down over time. The media should praise the people that are actually doing something. Instead of encouraging a generation of young people to protest, they should encourage more scientists, entrepreneurs and innovators because they are the people that can get this done. Like that one kid that started a company with the intent on cleaning the oceans. Also the rise of people trying to plant more trees.
