Jennifer Granholm was great! She was exciting, funny and truthful. She did a great job sticking up for American auto workers. She showed how Obama decision to help the auto industry in Michigan also help saved jobs in other states as well. The RNC badly needed this sort of enthusiasm at their convention.

I have watched this video over the past 24 hours now 6 or 7 times. Each time I watch it, it gets better. This woman has given a stellar speech. I do not believe, in my 58 years of life, that I have ever heard a political stump speech given by a woman or man with such passion. Jennifer Granholm has ripened into a political fireball. There is no telling where this might lead her. She undoubtedly will become one of the most passionate political speakers in the baby boomer generation. What fire !
I do not know enough about her management skills as governor of Michigan. I do though watch her 5 nights a week on Current TV and I can tell you that she is intelligent, articulate, thoughtful, dimensional, and is a type of person that I believe in. With situations of economic crisis, things are always evolving, and if someone came along and shortly turned things around, it undoubtedly had something to do with ground work that she had previously laid forth.

I was a delegate and I watched this speech in the arean. I've watched it at least five more times on You Tube. It gets better every time. This is a classic convention speech that will be remembered for years. Of course there were many other speeches that will never be forgotton. Governor Strickland, the governor of Montana and of course Bill Clinton speeches will be remembered. Those as just a few.

Okay, so I just got this, but what happened to US industry isn't a result of any one governor, but national trade policy. We don't make things anymore because we allow the outsourcing of jobs to countries where you can pay less than $2/hr and don't tariff those imports and even give the outsourcing company tax breaks to do so. Its the same reason why Toyota and BMW sent jobs to the South, because they don't have to provide benefits or a decent wage like they would in Japan or Germany

Well that was lively! Granholm has actually given some of the most down-to-earth discussions on cooperative economy I have ever heard. This was a bit unexpected for me. She's right though. In a case of Bankruptcy vs. Investment, investment was the better choice. From the very little Romney has revealed about his economic policy, it doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about whatsoever. I'm a private investor too and Obama makes a LOT more sense in action and on paper.

Snyder has been so much better for this state (I didn't like some things that he did, like taking certain things off of price tags, negative for consumers) and is really pushing the great idea of a new bridge. I'm a Michigan Democrat and I totally agree with that. Snyder has been so much better for this state (I didn't like some things that he did, like taking certain things off of price tags, negative for consumers) and is really pushing the great idea of a new bridge.
Granholm treated this state like crap.
