    How can you listen to this speech and say the republican party will do more for workers? And it's not just because Heather Granholm is a rock star, it's backed by substance not hyperbole. I hope our nation doesn't open it's eyes too late.

    • @bradhudson9389

      Hey cool your looking in on our nation! This speech was really shit... If you liked it go watch the original speech! Its way better than this one. It's called any and all of Donald Trump speeches. Maybe its a culture thing. You see she wanted her speech to hit the sound bites of Donald Trumps political platform because well people love what he talks about. At he same time trying to mock him (using his language, and believe me its noticeable believe me) in order to make it look cool, as if she is not stealing his mojo (platform). So now the DNC is really just trying to replicate his model that helped him win his nomination. So you are a world news junky I guess.. So crazy shit going down around the world, right? Where you call home?

      LOL....Trump's speeches? You mean the incoherent, substance free ramblings of a narcissistic, emotionally unstable demagogue pretending he's NOT just an orangutan dressed in an XL oompa loompa costume with a bad hair piece? Gotcha.....Trump doesn't have a platform, other than the one he places himself on during his yearlong infomercial and headlong dive from "greatness".
      Have fun with that....

    I saw this speech yesterday without the volume on at work. I could not hear what she said, but I could feel the energy she was putting out. I could see right from the start when she came out, her speech was going to be good. Now that I have heard her speech now and the one from 2012 for reelection of Obama I'm impressed. Not sure why I have never heard of her until yesterday, but I will be following 2016 race even more closely now. Hillary Clinton has some powerful speakers on her side.

    What I didn't understand what this woman said, saved auto industries and paid it in full...Where on earth the 18 trillions debts coming from then? If pres Obama has done so great, why do American have debts? Why are social security depleting? She is good for manipulating weaker minds...

    • @helmedon
      @helmedon Před 8 lety

      We have debt because we borrow too much, it has nothing to do with the auto industry, which has indeed recovered and is making record profits. Along with the stock market. We have debt because it is inherited with each successive President. Bill Clinton was the last one to leave a surplus in the deficit which is the only way to actually pay off the debt. Bush promptly wasted that surplus and increased the debt by more than double (101%) and engineered the financial crash that led to Obama's stimulus package, unemployment benefit increase and his ACA, which will actually reduce the debt by $143 billion over ten years. Obama has increased the debt by 56%, much of which was beyond his control. He had to pay for the 2 wars Bush started since Bush put them on the "credit card". Federal income was down due to the financial crisis, further increasing debt from tax cuts and whatnot. Social Security isn't depleting, that's a myth put out there by the GOP. The Social Security Trust Fund has run a surplus since 1987 and is payed into with payroll taxes. Republicans want to reduce these and get rid of Social Security, as well as Medicaid. Our economy has improved and we're on track to

      Obamanic is a manipulative and can not be trusted to whatever these people put out..President Barack Obama
      President Obama has the largest deficits. By the end of his last budget (FY 2017), the total deficits will be $6.695 trillion for his eight years in office. Obama started off launching the $787 billion economic stimulus package that cut taxes, extended unemployment benefits, and funded job-creating public works projects. The Obama tax cuts added $858 billion to the debt in its first two years. Most important was increased defense spending, which added as much as $800 billion a year. Federal income decreased due to lower tax receipts from the 2008 financial crisis.
      Both Presidents Bush and Obama had to contend with higher mandatory spending for Social Security and Medicare than their predecessors did. That's because health care costs were rising, and the American population was aging. In 2010, Obama launched the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to reduce the debt by $143 billion by 2020. For more, see National Debt Under Obama.
      President George W. Bush
