I have a Zbone 6’9” LMH and it’s pretty much just my shakey head rod now. It’s the only Kistler rod I still like after trying Destroyer P5’s, Steez AGS’, and high end Loomis’. The one thing I learned about them is just never to pay full price. I think I might swap the guides for full titanium on it.
@@3spressoShot I’m pretty sure I like the Steez AGS a little bit more but the ZBones are still good. I ended up buying an NRX+ 853c for a good deal and gave my dad the Kistler. Those NFC XRay blanks are still VERY impressive though
You were saying the medium light rod has great sensitivity for finess worms and is rated for 3/8oz lures...a wacky worm set up neko eith a weighted nail and plus the weight of the hook surpasses that (a little). Do you recommend going to a medium rod (5/8 oz lures)
Are these the x-ray blanks? I have two of the ML x-ray blank z bones. Picked them up when they were closing them out for the new blanks they are using now.
These have the KC9 blank that Kistler went to after abandoning NFC’s X-ray blank. You can tell by the hook keeper, the X-rays had a different one. I loved the X-ray Zbones but abandoned this line after the blank change. I did a direct comparison between the old and new version and there’s no contest, the new blank is worse :( Pity, but I guess Kistler had to cut costs and needed their own blank instead of buying from NFC.
That rod that got broken recover the guides for sure. Another guy used recovered guides for a custom build. Might be other usable parts too!
Yeah the guides are really expensive.

@@TN1000W yes . 5/8 is too heavy for ML
Awesome fishing poles!!!!!
Great review! I fish a lot from a kayak so the handle length is pretty important to me. How long are those handles??

Idk...all I know is that these are the latest model and I love these rods. Comparable to the nrx.
